I can't recommend this preschool/day care to anyone. It is run with frequent and ever-changing…read moreclosures. It also has unsafe practices of allowing children to run around barefoot year-round and no gloves in the winter. Our family constantly experienced the loss of personal belongings in the center as well. We literally bought dozens of packs of socks because our granddaughter was coming home without socks several times a week. families of limited income were required to pay for exorbitant fees over a month in advance for field trips that were mostly free to parks. When asked to provide an itemized list of these costly field trips the director gave us a list where 3-year-olds were being charged $25 per child for a 2-hour round of bowling at a local bowling alley. That's just one example of many. Over the summer families were given lists of what the charges were and they differed from family to family. We were being asked to pay an additional $300+ and another family was asked to pay over $400. We different care for my granddaughter as soon as we could. We had paid in advance for field trips that she was no longer going to attend and when asked for a refund of the $125 that we paid in advance we were given less than $40. She attended one of the field trips at a cost of $25 and the center director spent days changing her story about the amount she would get back. The center did not provide any other option for child care when they were doing daycare events every other day that required extra payment for low-income families. If they were unable to pay then there was no child care provided. This caused an undue hardship for our family. In my opinion this is a highly unethical practice of the center. Lastly, I want to address the extremely high turnover rate of workers in this center. We've had dozens of experience over the past year of different teachers in classrooms. All of the teachers that we've encountered at the center acted like they didn't want to be there. We walked in on one sleeping. Oftentimes I have shown up to the center with groups of staff standing together indifferent to the needs of the children. One example I experienced was several children cold and outside with unzipped coats and no gloves in the dead of winter crying. Several children appeared to be for quite a while because their faces were red and swollen. Nothing was being done to attend to them until they saw me come around the corner. Questions by guardians have been met with defensiveness and snarkiness. It's been disappointing to see the Montessori brand diminished with the way that this center is being run.

My son has been attending this center for a little over 2 years. It has been a wonderful…read moreexperience. I had previously had him at Kidz Watch in Perrysburg and then Bee Creative on Heatherdowns. Both daycares were terrible compared to here. Bee Creative sat children in front of a TV ALL DAY LONG. It did not matter what time I dropped my son off or what time I picked him up, the TV was always on and the lights were always dimmed. Kidz Watch was just as bad, with catty assistants who gossiped about me, poor meal plans (I was actually charged per day, per meal, on top of it my normal monthly fee to have my child here.) With all that being said, I didn't expect much from anywhere and figured it was typical. CDC is incredible. All the staff are kind and understanding and genuinely care about the children. I took my son on vacation with me for a week, and he asked me when we were going to go back so he could "Be with my buddies" LOL He has developed genuine connections with the kids and teachers. I watch him learn things, have adventures, go on field trips and grow into an observant, compassionate and caring child. The right daycare/preschool makes all the difference. I have not had a single disappointing experience in the 2 years he has been here. He will be going into kindergarten next year, but I will strongly consider this place as his after school care center as I work until 530pm. Thank you for everything you have done for my little man CDC.

When I asked them about this, their answer was " he did not like the food. They left him hungery all the time. With the short time he was attending CDC, he picked up some infection. He could not survive for a long time there. When we was becoming closer to the building , he started to cry. He is no longer attand CDC, but became mad since he was going there and still carrying this habit. For every minute I left my baby in CDC I regret and felt disappointment. Their first priority is not our children, but the money and the property. At the end, I decided to find another day care, I request them to return his staff back, they said they did not know where are they. I contacted the main CDC corporation office, who contacted them, out of the blue they found some of his staff but not all of them. They are not interested in listening to my concerns about why my child is mad and unhappy. They do not want any one to know about there '' generosity with my baby", they screen me from their facebook page, I am no longer able to write a comment, and they removed all of my comments. So they think no one will know about them. I strongly recommended to avoid going to CDC. Ex-CDC parent

I am so pleased with the professional and amazing treatment Tina shows in this school. I saw the review before mine and as a mom of a preschooler there, I can stand behind the tough choice she had to make as a director because I am 100% confident that any choice like that is one that had great effort and thought before making such a tough decision. Yes, children can get testy, but I know the staff speaks daily to parents as to what kind of day our children had and bring up any concerns they may have and I also know that a child would never just get released. When these young children are to a point where it is placing other children, or even staff, at ongoing risk,( which would play a large part for a release), difficult choices have to be made, regardless if it were verbal or physical. I am grateful to know that these teachers care so much and I know that the choices that are made are done because of the care they have. On another note, I am absolutely AMAZED with what my daughter learned this year! She begs to go to school when it is a day she isn't scheduled to go. I was beyond confident for her kindergarten screening due to how well prepared she is from the education she was given here. Every single staff member has shows care and love for our children and they prove it daily. I highly recommend this school.

A family was given a 24 hour notice to find another program. The reasoning being the four year old was "acting up". Oh you're unable to manage a young child?? That's your job?? The director, Tina Haack, degraded the young boy to his mother in front of him. So unprofessional. You're there to foster and help young children learn and grow, not to kick them out as soon as they misbehave.
