Now he has been bugging me to call for an appointment the day after at oxford to check his crown but i called two weeks after the incident but the lady receptionist was insisting why we did not call earlier than two weeks. So what is two weeks B**** i had no time to call earlier than two weeks. My hubby had had a million cleanings done but this is the first time he complained about his crown moving after the cleaning has been done at oxford. When he is talking, he feels like he had to suck his crown so that it doesn't fall. Because he feels like it's gonna fall. So anyways, the b**** lady on the phone was insisting that we will be charged on his appt even though it was the hygienist fault that caused the crown moving. I just cancelled the appt and moved to another dentist. Please stay away from this dental office because they are not your service dental office. Their priority is to make money more than the service. There are a lot better dental offices out there which are not only after the money. Because my daughter had to move from this dental office to a new one. Because she had no insurance to cover her dental costs. So they know that situation so when they found out that she is paying for her own dental costs, they started bugging her, calling her 3x a day. Besides they're really expensive. I have just inquired for my daughter with no insurance. Simply Welness Dental only charges $265 for cleaning while oxford charged $399+ for a cleaning. Please so yourself a favor, please stay away from this blood sucking dental clinic.. simply welness dental clinic is somewhere in burnaby which is 15 km away from this dental clinic and if you have to travel 2x a year for a cheaper cleaning services, it would probably be worth your trip.

I would have saved time, headache and MONEY. I originally came to Smiling Creek Dental to have my teeth fixed and it's been nothing but wasted time and heartache. I for most needed a new appliance (partial denture) that normally would take any dental clinic a month at most to get fitted, this place took 3 months and about 14 appointments (that I had to take time off work for) to get fitted. They couldn't get the teeth right and had to send the appliance back multiple times. Once it FINALLY was good the tooth broke off a few months later. I was partially to blame as I was eating crackers and they offered to fix it for free. Manjari did mention this was a one time deal and they would not offer to fix this again for free. A few short months after fixing, my other tooth FELL OUT AGAIN! This time around I was sitting at my desk working and it literally just fell out. I wasn't eating, drinking nor sleeping with it at the time. It just fell out while I was working. I called to have this fixed and was very upset as two teeth have now fallen out in less than a year and my old appliance that I had from another dental clinic for 10 years never had any issues besides natural wear down. I'd like to mention I wasn't aware you weren't supposed to sleep with your appliance and wore my previous appliance night and day and only took it out to brush my teeth and never had an issue FOR 10 YEARS! When I called to get this fixed I explained this was an emergency and I needed it fixed before the following afternoon as I had a huge client meeting and couldn't show up toothless or reschedule at such last minute. They took their sweet time and after hours, they made up lies and told me they could only have this fixed at 5pm the following day and wanted $270. I explained That I understood they fixed it free the first time but for it to fall out while sitting at work is unacceptable and they need to fix this now and for free as this was not my fault. Instead I was blamed for saying it's my fault that I sometimes sleep with it in and eat with it (Dr Bhata even said eating with it was okay and I still have the texts to prove that) it was a blame game and I was told it was my fault and there was nothing to be done but pay. Within the last year and a half I have paid out of pocket thousands of dollars not including what my insurance has covered and for them to not only offer anything to keep a client but to put the blame on me is disgusting practice. I have since gone to a different clinic and they told me my appliance was poorly made and it's no wonder it broke so many times. They not only offered to fix it but make me a brand new one for a fraction of the cost. I wish I never found Smiling Creek Dental and I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Very good for those who are afraid of the dentist or for small children. She really takes the time to explain all procedures to you in terms you understand and will go through all the options with you to choose the best treatment plan for you. She is constantly updating and perfecting her skill sets and if you go to her you know you are receiving the most up to date and efficient procedures. Her staff are very friendly and welcoming and create a warm and kind atmosphere. I would highly recommend Dr, Thorpe above any other dentist in the area.

We love her, she's the best! Michelle, who is the front desk associate, is always friendly and welcoming. She keeps exemplary records on all of her patients and is very helpful. If she needs to contact Blue Cross or another carrier in order to check on the patient's plan, she never says 'you have to do it'; she gets on the phone and in a flash, she has the information we are looking for. I know Dr. Thorpe has a couple of dental hygienists and chairside assistants; however, I only have experience with Erin. No lie - she is the best dental hygienist in the business. I am a very nervous patient, even during cleaning, and Erin has a way to calm you down. She never causes pain or discomfort and before you know it, you are finished and my teeth are super clean and bright. She's really lovely! I hope she never leaves Dr. Thorpe's practice. Chelsey and Betty, who are chairside assistants, are very sweet and really care about how you are doing. Dr. Thorpe must handpick her staff for their personalities and easy-going manners as well as their expertise. All in all, a very happy place to be if you are in a dental chair. After they worked on my two teeth, I was in pain for over 4 months. Throughout the four months, no one has ever called to see how I was doing, instead I had to keep calling them about the problem. It ended up that I spent over $4000 for nothing. I had to find some other doctor to extract my two teeth that they had worked on because I was in continuous pain. Finally, the pain went away after that.
