They first booked me a cleaning with the hygienist in their Coquitlam location, and the hygienist was very pushy, trying to get me to get Invisalign. I had told the girl that I wasn't in a position to pay $500 a month to get something I didn't NEED. They had called me multiple times thereafter to ask about it. But that wasn't the issue. I visited Suterbrook to get some work done on my teeth. What should've been a 1-2 hour max session turned into 5 whole hours. The dentist was moving back and forth between me and other patients. This was NOT ok, especially since it was during COVID times. I got frustrated so I had asked him and the assistant multiple times to see how much longer I would have to wait, and was given an inaccurate estimate.. again. Would not recommend going here and would not recommend this place to anyone.

After only two visits (1 cleaning and check up and one to have fillings done), I decided to take my business elsewhere. Even though I can't walk to my new dentist, the difference between the two places is like night and day. I suppose it's a good enough option for students living on campus and others who may not want to commute/drive elsewhere, but if you have the option to go elsewhere, I would.

As time as passed it seems that my time with the dentist were getting shorter and shorter. Before I stopped going to this clinic, Dr. Yee was extremely late, and the time spent with him was (what felt like) less than 1 minute. He didn't even see me the last time I went! It honestly feels like Dr. Yee has figured out being a dentist and now he's more focused on being an entrepreneur, expanding his office and hiring more dental hygienists. As of my last experience I give 1 star, but honestly he does quality work. My orthodontist complimented the Veneer work that Yee did so +2 stars for that. Once I was taken back to the room, I was introduced to the Girl who was going to assist the Dentist with the Botox. We made conversation as she went over my pre session paperwork. Then the Dentist arrived, and he was awesome. So kind & friendly with a great sense of humour. We talked about my history with Botox, asked about a areas of concern, and I squinted and smiled while they took notes as to where they would Inject. After we discussed how much was to go where as per the result I was looking for, and then it was on to the main event! Botox isn't completely painless, but I really don't mind how it feels. It was over quickly. They checked it, added a bit more. Then it was done. Chatted to the Dentist a bit more - he was super funny and really easy to talk to - really nice guy. I will definitely return. And do highly recommend! Oh and on the way out - I got a gift of a toothbrush toothpaste and a few other things - a very nice touch indeed.

Right from the get-go this place was full of red flags and I wish I listened to my inner self a…read moreyear and a half ago instead of giving them the benefit of the doubt. I would have saved time, headache and MONEY. I originally came to Smiling Creek Dental to have my teeth fixed and it's been nothing but wasted time and heartache. I for most needed a new appliance (partial denture) that normally would take any dental clinic a month at most to get fitted, this place took 3 months and about 14 appointments (that I had to take time off work for) to get fitted. They couldn't get the teeth right and had to send the appliance back multiple times. Once it FINALLY was good the tooth broke off a few months later. I was partially to blame as I was eating crackers and they offered to fix it for free. Manjari did mention this was a one time deal and they would not offer to fix this again for free. A few short months after fixing, my other tooth FELL OUT AGAIN! This time around I was sitting at my desk working and it literally just fell out. I wasn't eating, drinking nor sleeping with it at the time. It just fell out while I was working. I called to have this fixed and was very upset as two teeth have now fallen out in less than a year and my old appliance that I had from another dental clinic for 10 years never had any issues besides natural wear down. I'd like to mention I wasn't aware you weren't supposed to sleep with your appliance and wore my previous appliance night and day and only took it out to brush my teeth and never had an issue FOR 10 YEARS! When I called to get this fixed I explained this was an emergency and I needed it fixed before the following afternoon as I had a huge client meeting and couldn't show up toothless or reschedule at such last minute. They took their sweet time and after hours, they made up lies and told me they could only have this fixed at 5pm the following day and wanted $270. I explained That I understood they fixed it free the first time but for it to fall out while sitting at work is unacceptable and they need to fix this now and for free as this was not my fault. Instead I was blamed for saying it's my fault that I sometimes sleep with it in and eat with it (Dr Bhata even said eating with it was okay and I still have the texts to prove that) it was a blame game and I was told it was my fault and there was nothing to be done but pay. Within the last year and a half I have paid out of pocket thousands of dollars not including what my insurance has covered and for them to not only offer anything to keep a client but to put the blame on me is disgusting practice. I have since gone to a different clinic and they told me my appliance was poorly made and it's no wonder it broke so many times. They not only offered to fix it but make me a brand new one for a fraction of the cost. I wish I never found Smiling Creek Dental and I would never recommend this place to anyone.
