If Peter ever was compassionate, that was before his current burnout. I contacted Peter to begin acupuncture during my third IVF cycle (for male factor). However, after consulting two of the top REs in both Chicago and NY (Dr. Catenacci at AFCC Chicago and Dr. Irani at Cornell NY) I made the decision that I would move forward with a cycle in November. I took the time to explain to Peter that in addition to the expert medical opinions I received encouraging me to move forward in November, there were a number of other factors (both personal and financial) that made this timing right for me. Instead, Peter became extremely enraged and aggressive. He informed me that if I moved forward with an IVF cycle in November, I would be unlikely to become pregnant. And accordingly to Peter, if I did, it would not result in a live birth. Then, he went on to share with me the story of a 43 y/o IVF patient of his he saw that day. He shared that he encouraged her to take time off before her next cycle, but she did not (as if 43 y/os have a ton of time..). She then became pregnant with twins. He said he then did not see her for 6 weeks. She then lost the twins at 10 weeks. He blamed her loss on her not keeping up with acupuncture.
