I have had acupuncture from many chiropractic offices over the years, but have never felt real results. I sought out Vera after researching acupuncture specifically for infertility (she has 15 years experience!) and am so glad I did! She had be buy a package of treatments, and she timed them with my fertility treatment schedule. After four (4) treatments, the most recent being on my actual embryo transfer date, I'm happy to report that I have fallen pregnant! I know there are a number of reasons why this round worked, but I'm convinced that Vera was a big part of it. I decided last minute to call the day after Christmas to schedule an appointment and spoke with Vera. She was very accommodating and was able to schedule me that day! During my visit, she listened to everything I had to say, gave me wonderful insight and advice for my issue, and walked me through everything she did. Within an hour of treatment, I felt like the treatment was helping my issue. Within 24 hours, all my symptoms were gone! It has been a few days and I am completely symptom free!! These women saved my sanity. I was losing my mind. Even more than usual. Hit with chronic pain I couldn't medicate away (thank you, unfortunate adult-onset pain med allergies) I was at wit's end. Then one of my facebook friends suggested I try acupuncture. Usually I'd brush off something like this, but I had no choice. Nothing was working. I was slowly poisoning my kidneys with too much acetominophen. So I called up and had an appointment within a week. Ausra, my therapist, had a wonderful calmness about her. I went three days a week for several weeks. They were clear in explaining that it would be less expensive if I purchased a package - which I would need, considering the level of pain I was experiencing - rather than choose the a la carte option. I never felt they were pushing me to buy more services than I needed, something I appreciated. After three weeks I felt great - I was, quite frankly, shocked. I'm not a big believer in alternative therapies but it worked like a charm for my pain. I'm hoping I never need acupuncture again. But if I do I'll certainly be going here. read more

My acupuncturist is downtown and wonderful but it was nice to find an alternate. I found this place via groupon. I bought a three -pack and have been very pleased with the venue. The space is calming. I have seen Vera who is kind and has patience to explain a lot. They follow a different style(can't Remember) of acupuncture that my practitioner does not follow but the results have been similar. I had a massage with Jen and it was nice. It was an acupressure massage so expect a lot of pressure on one area - the results were great. I would recommend giving this place a try. read more

My chiropractor recommended AcuBalance after being diagnosed with Trigeminal Neurosis. I received a same day appointment and I was warmly welcomed by Ausra who did an initial exam and explained everything in detail and answered all my questions before treatment. After treatment, the crucial pain around my eyes was completely gone! I walked out of the office smiling and pain free with only one session. I did come back for a follow up appointment and another treatment. I should also mention that I have TMJ on the same side of my face which was also flared up. After another treatment I left again with minimal to no pain. We followed up with one last treatment and I can say that all the pain is gone, even the TMJ pain is gone at this point. The location is easily accessible, the office is very relaxing and Ausra is awesome. I highly recommend for anyone who is seeking acupuncture and I will be returning (hopefully not soon) for treatment if the need arises. read more

Experience was good just came from having cupping done, my neck and shoulders feel better and I can feel less tight. We'll have to see how I feel in a week but this. Eats any massage I have ever had. A few years ago I went to Ausra for acupuncture for my neck, arm and back. It was amazing and actually fixed me. Prior to that I was getting cortisone shots and put on meds. After seeing Ausra for a few months and then being recommended to see a chiropractor for a few visits I was off all meds and feeling great. When I heard about the yoga studio opening I started going and it has been life changing for me! The teachers are amazing (Cher, Donna, Val, Matthew, and the two Jennifers) I have taken multiple types of classes and some workshops. It is a wonderful community feeling. The teachers are so accommodating to all levels and make the classes fun and peaceful. It is great for all ages! I look forward to every class and miss it if I can't make it. I've had acupuncture a few times before and didn't really see any results. After one session here one of my concerns was completely fixed. I also feel very comfortable with both Julie and Mateo. The prices were very reasonable too considering that insurance doesn't cover it. I also loved how Julie explained everything about what she was doing. I don't even know where to start. I am a huge fan of Acubalance to say the least. I have been going for over a year. I started going when I was recovering from ovarian cancer/chemo. The reason that pushed me to go was because the doctors did not think I would ever be able to have children because my hormones were going into menopause. They said acupuncture may be my only option. I used to go to Northwestern Integrative but it is so expensive and far from my house so I decided to try Acubalance. I have not been disappointed. I actually feel that I am getting much more personal service and care than I ever did when I was merely a number. I started seeing Ausra twice a week for about 2-3 months. I also took the Chinese herbs she prescribed. About 3 months in, I got my period - something the doctors didn't think could happen. I credit this to lots of prayer and acupuncture. Since then I have been going almost weekly to maintain good health and calm my anxiety. Ausra has been very patient with me and has listened to my fears numerous times. She's not just an acupuncturist, that's for sure. Although insurance doesn't cover acupuncture for me, I find the cost at Acubalance is reasonable. I do "community acupuncture" three weeks and then private one week out of each month. The community acupuncture helps keep it affordable for me and usually there are no more than one or two other people in the room. I rarely am bothered by any other patient. I highly, highly recommend Acubalance and have been so thankful for Ausra and her expertise. It has greatly influenced my life. Went to AcuBalance to get acupuncture treatments for infertility in combination with an IVF treatment. Staff was very courteous and tailored a treatment plan that suited my needs. Vera targeted my uterine area so that I had optimal blood flow that would support having a successful embryo transfer. Fast forward (9 mo so) and DH and I gave birth to a 9 pound healthy baby boy!!. Before starting acupuncture a year ago, I was not sleeping and my anxiety was very high. After a few months, my sleep patterns became normal and my anxiety was way down. It's a MIRACLE!! My 19 year old daughter went for acupuncture for anxiety and severe OCD and a back injury. She was on many meds and was being hospitalized often. She would never go out due to anxiety. After a couple of months of acupuncture, she is a new person. Happy and ready to take on the world. I have started getting treatments and definitely notice improvements in health. My other daughter has had 1 treatment and slept through the night (hasn't slept through the night in over 10 years.)
