Similar to other kayak tours I've done, we were fitted with PFDs and given a basic tutorial on how to paddle/ maneuver in the kayaks. The owner/guide Don was very knowledgable and did a great job making sure that the group moved together and that we were safe at all times. After kayaking around the river we stopped off for a picnic dinner on Shark Tooth Island. It was fun hunting for fossilized shark teeth and other shells. My two criticisms of the tour were: 1) There wasn't much to see. We kayaked a little way down the river and then turned down a grassy side channel. Besides a couple of herons in trees and some alligator tracks there was not much scenery and it became boring after a little while. 2) The food options for dinner were a little underwhelming. They had some store bought sandwich thins/wraps and deli cold cuts for dinner. Without the Groupon the price of the 3 hour tour is $150/per person. I didn't feel that this tour was much of an "adventure" and the food definitely left something to be desired.

We took the Trent river route one, very beautiful and scenic. She meets you at the beginning of your route and helps you get set and sent on your way. When you finish she will meet you at the end of your route and load you up. She will then shuttle you back to your vehicle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BEARFOOT KAYAKS!!

We had the opportunity to take a couple of Debbie's single kayaks out to the Carrot Island area and had a fantastic experience. Her service is unmatched and the value is incredible. We were out exploring for about 5 hours and towards the end of the day, Debbie called to check in (and make sure we were ok) which shows just how much she goes above and beyond for her customers. Not to mention the included paddles, life vests, water shoes, and phone cases. Next time we're in Beaufort, we'll definitely be renting from Beaufort Paddles. Thanks Debbie!!

In the past, we have rented kayaks from Pogie's and have always loved renting through them. Pogie's was AMAZING to work with both during this trip and in the past. They were very kind and attentive to us during our time with them and gave us some local tips for our adventure. They were able to accommodate our larger group and went above and beyond to make it a fun and successful outing. I highly recommend this place!

Book online it will shave off some precious sand dollars. No waves? That's great, too easy. You don't have to put a boat in the water, they have a cool slide to launch you so you don't look like a weirdo. Service was friendly, helpful and able to launch even the stockiest of gentlemen. After meeting and speaking with them this morning and working with them to resolve the issues, I will say that I was way out of line. They are both incredibly easy to work with and had to buy it just taken the time to speak and work with them in the first place everything would have been great. I adjust my review to five stars and hope that they will accept my apology and know that I am truly sorry. These folks are really truly great to work with and I highly recommend. And on the side note never respond to issues out of frustration and anger so you don't make yourself look like an ass like I have..
