The office is usually busy and sometimes I have to wait a little longer than I would like. However, with new federal regulations requiring much more documentation from the medical staff I understand the wait time a little better than most. And I also appreciate that she does not rush me through the appointment. She takes time to listen to my health concerns and provides helpful medical advise. I plan to continue seeing Sandra Carr and would recommend her to anyone looking for a professional and knowledgeable health care provider.

I didn't even know this location existed as it is tucked behind other businesses off Beach Boulevard. But I was pleased it was only 6 minutes from my house. Dr Joseph replied to my request to switch my care to her office quickly and I was able to schedule an appointment the following day after submitting the request. When I arrived I was greeted with a friendly welcome by the nice receptionist. I waited roughly 10 minutes to be taken into the exam room where I discussed my current medications with a nurse. Dr Joseph was thorough, discussing all my health concerns and suggesting some lifestyle changes to help lower my cholesterol and lose weight. I left the appointment feeling good about my decision to start seeing Dr Joseph. When I checkout, we scheduled my annual physical in August.

That said, I have received overall good care from my doctor and his nurse practitioner for over 15 years (who left the practice in 2025). As of March 2026, my appointment was easy to schedule, and the nurse practitioner listened carefully to my concerns. I left feeling that my goals were addressed (labs, meds, referrals, etc.). In 2025, for six months, I went to another practice, and I can vouch that it was not perfect either (billing, checking in/out), and the nurse practitioner there was worse (not thorough or listening, rude). I'm glad to be back after six months away due to a brief insurance change. You'll get all kinds of opinions/experiences.

All of the staff know our son by name and they really go the extra mile to make him feel welcome and comfortable. Last note. We saw two different providers at the Atlantic Office during these five visits and they both took an extra minute to diagnose and really consider possible treatments for our son. The third provider that treated him was at Julington Creek and she was also very thorough with her assessment.
