I went through here the other day to catch the foliage at Cincy's peak and it was spectacular. A great place for a stroll or a picnic when bringing family or friends down to the beautiful gaslight district in Clifton. It feels crazy to me that this big of a park is located in such an urban area. It felt like being back in New England for a hot second. Definitely recommend checking it out during the day vrs. at night.

One of the areas leading down to picnic area gives patrons the option to take the stairs or the slide. I was surprised how many adults chose the slide. At that point there is also a marker "WPA 1940." There are a couple of hiking trails, that would be easily overlooked if one doesn't venture far enough to the left or right from the picnic area. Just like the park itself, these are fairly short trails. Most of the people at the park looked to be college students. As we were about to leave a few more people with younger children started to arrive. We saw one man fishing. One down side is that we had to drive around to find parking. The sides by the campus are by permit only. After driving around we found the street that went into the middle of the park. No permit required, though it does say "2 hr. parking."

A lot of cool restaurants and shops are here. Many cater to bicyclists. They offer discounts on food and stuff. It's the centerpiece of downtown Loveland. The bathrooms are pretty clean, and there's plenty of areas for pets. A lot of convenient things if you're on a bike. If you're in a car it's harder. There's parking lots but these get filled up especially on weekends.

Also, there's a place where you can add air to your bike tires if you need it. The parking is easy if you get there early. Go about 4 miles north, and there's another restroom with water fountains. There is a walking path that goes around the two fields that has a one quarter mile marker, so it's easy to keep track of how far you've walked. The playground area is small but it's very unique. One part looks like a tree house with a giant spider web to climb around on in the back. I liked the slides, which started at the top of a hill and went down the hillside to the bottom with a rope ladder to climb back up to the top. My boyfriend and I had fun playing here. There is also a nice pavilion with picnic tables and a basketball hoop. If you're looking for a change of scenery, come up for a visit. A great park overall.

There was a group of kids that was having a great time walking in the creek. While there is a path right next to the creek, if you have shoes that are good with water, I say just go and walk right in the creek. It's a little under a mile long and you can see little fish, I've heard you might be able to spot a turtle, and I saw a snake! There are other trails that veer off from the creek and there's a good amount of up and down. There are swings and a big shelter with picnic tables scattered around.
