Swaim Park has something for everybody!! There's children's playground, a basketball court, volleyball court, baseball field, and soccer field. I believe the baseball and soccer fields are combined. There's also a walking path and two ponds. I've seen people fishing at the pond, but I don't know if they've ever caught anything. There are also bathrooms and water fountains with lower bowls for our canine friends. There are two parking lots. The larger one is off Cooper and near the baseball field. The smaller one is off Zigzag. Love that many of the trees have plaques that describe them!

I have passed by this park before and decided to stop there this week-end. Whoever designed this park is a genius because it's truly not that big, but it has something for absolutely everybody. It is clear that it is always well-maintained and for anybody wanting to take their dog along there are stations reminding people to clean up after their pets and bags in case you forgot. Plus, my adorable dog, Sammers, appreciated the drinking fountains just for them! In the beginning, we started walking around a path that circles a nice pond in front of a spacious and pretty gazebo. Then we followed a walkway that led us over a bridge and back around. On that stroll, we went past baseball fields, tennis courts, sand volleyball, basketball, a playground, 2 large shelters, a huge fire pit and a nice little creek. If you prefer to take in these peaceful surroundings while sitting, there are benches all around. As we were leaving, we noticed a lodge building and a 2-story house. I was curious so I did a little research. Turns out this is a historic farmhouse where you can schedule tours and events during the year. Also, there is a garden club that maintains an heirloom garden in it's backyard. All this in the winter; I can't wait to see what it looks like when everything is in bloom.

Beautiful park in the heart of old Montgomery. Situated on Cooper Road between Montgomery and Blue Ash.

I occasionally play tennis there, but you can't always get a court.

Fairytale-like house [Cincinnati OH]…read more We couldn't just drive-by this whimsical house without stopping and doing a double take... and staring. This is the Mushroom House in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Cincinnati. The amount of detail is really breathtaking: circular steel steps, deck rails of wood shingles, stained glass windows, tiled ceilings... of course, I had to snap some pics. How often do we come to Cin City. The original owner/builder by the name of Terry Brown has passed away in 2008. The house is currently not on the market and occupied as a private residence as of 2021. Here are the deets in Zillow: 1 beds, 1 baths, 1,260 sq-ft. If you are curious about the inside of the home you can click on this link and watch it on YouTube: https://youtu.be/pVUFwH9Q6fk Review #3885

It is a relatively young house, when it comes to house age. It was started to get built by architect Terry Brown in 1992 and completed in 2006. Terry Brown him self resided in it until his passing in 2008. This house looks like a mushroom from a certain angle, and like an owl from another. It is a fairytale house in the real world. There's so much fine detail, there's no wonder it had taken this genius man 14 years to complete this artistic masterpiece of a home. The spiral orange stair case was chained off not allowing access to the public. There was a car parked in the driveway as well as a surveillance camera. They also had a "no trespassing" sign. The land around, although very minimal is very well groomed and well kept. Something tells me there are people who currently reside here. I don't know how I would feel about living in a home that gets so much attention and that is always being photographed. The Mushroom House is a must see in Cincinnati. Use your fairytale imagination to guide you inside. Happy travels!

A wonderful location to view the bustling activity along The Ohio River Trail, and a place to gather and celebrate as a community. The park boasts multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann's Carousel. Several historical monuments can be found like the Black Brigade Monument and the recently dedicated Marian Spencer Statue. I was on a roadtrip and my family dropped me off in downtown Cincinnati and I gravitated to Smale Riverfront Park because I wanted a place to explore nature and see river views. I explored the scenic walkways along the Ohio, flower gardens, fountains, public art, picnic spots, and plenty of space to just chill. One of my favorite features were the riverfront swings, big, bench-style swings tucked along the water that are perfect for kicking back and enjoying the view. They're surprisingly comfortable and such a great spot to unwind and reconnect with your inner child. The park has amazing views of the Roebling Suspension Bridge and Ohio River are worth the visit on their own, the paths are wide and great for families, and there's lots to explore without feeling overcrowded. There are splash zones for kids, places to sit and picnic, and tons of photo ops.

The riverfront was very peaceful. The park was clean. I couldnt find how to access the ferry.read more
