Great little coffee place! Good coffee, friendly barista, fun decor ("big blue photo-op banana" says everything!) all added up to a "must stop" place on our recent road trip to Eastern Oregon. If you're in the area, stop to take a pic in the blue banana out front and then go inside for a tasty drink treat and snack. I'll bet their smoothies are every bit as good as their coffee! Oh and don't forget to sit inside the back end of the VW bug you can see from the outside... it's a hoot, especially for those of us who owned a bug or two at some time in our lives! read more

A must-stop when passing through Lostine. A well-made Mocha and their blended coffee drinks are great. Pleasantly surprised to find gluten free Cookie options. Drive-thru service as well as limited seating. Costs were fair. Fun and cute decor. Take a photo with the blue banana. The only reason we didn't give the five stars was the slight lack of friendliness from the staff. They were busy, and focused on making the drinks, but they weren't very friendly or welcoming. Perhaps we just caught them on a busy/off day. Either way, it's definitely worth a stop. read more

OK this place is a riot. And not to mention divinely tasty. If you're a lover of coffee and unique little roadside stops, this is a must. My friend and I were in a hurry when we drove by this little business on the way to Wallowa Lake, Oregon, but we HAD to stop by on the way back. Walking into this little coffee shack, I immediately fell in love. If I were to run a dream business, it would be dang near identical to this place. I received a friendly greeting from the owner and her friends upon my arrival, and was even offered some samples of their delicious, fresh roasted nuts. After trying their chai and habanero almonds, sweet and salty cashews, and sweet butter pecans, I was oohing and aaahing....AND ready to wash it down with some much needed, mid-morning espresso. I decided on a coconut vanilla iced latte and stood nearby to watch her craft my masterpiece. After a few short minutes, it was ready. She even gave me a little shot of whipped cream on top--no charge. I must've looked like a kid in a candy store as I reached over the counter with both hands and eyes glazed over to receive my 20 ounce prize. And DANG was that thing good. There are no words people. Quality coffee--I guarantee it. And to make things even better, the owners lives in an adorable little cottage right behind the shop, and walk down to work every morning. The place even has an outhouse beside it complete with a bell that rings when you flush the toilet. So fantastic! This place can't get much more perfect. That's why I gave it a 5-star crown. If you're ever in a 60-mile vicinity of this place, stop in. You won't be disappointed. read more

The chai has powder clumps and is insanely sweet despite being "sugar free." Haven't tried their coffee yet though.

We'd been looking forward to finally visiting this place for a year. So we finally made it and what a disappointment! We knew it would be difficult to get there by their closing time of 17:00. Arrived at 17:30 and were delighted to see the Owner (we're assuming) coming out the back door. But, her sour puss and her "don't talk to me if you value your life" expression really threw ice water in our faces. Now I can understand not wanting to turn the cash register on for a customer who may spend $10 a year there. But still..... we had Texas plates on the car! She couldn't at least say hello? Or where are you from? Or how did you hear about us?!?!? Maybe she was having a bad day. Don't know, don't care. If this is how the business owner feels about people who drive hundreds of miles and routes their trip especially so they will be able to visit the blue banana, we don't want to have anything to do with the place. WHAT A CRAB!!!!! I was really looking forward to sampling their coffee and buying one of their mugs. It's a shame but it is what it is. We DEFINITELY won't be back!!!!! read more
