I know many…read moreyelpers have been wondering about the current state of the PRM, so without further ado, I'll review what's changed since my last visit in 2013. As it turns out, not much. Still clean, still empty, still disorienting. The Aeropostale that employed my sibling during happier times no longer exists. Price Real Estate and the nice men employed there are missing. Even the Master Cuts vanished. Why did people in Pocatello stop getting haircuts? Is post-2013 hipster culture to blame? It's not a good sign when the most utilitarian store in the mall disappears. This absence has ramifications not only for the mall but also for society at large--it's an issue worth exploring further. Theories? That said, the Bath and Body Works seemed to be heavily populated upon my visit, thank heavens. Per usual, using my arms as shields, I had to physically battle my way to the back of the store, narrowly escaping from the army of eager salespeople desperate to squirt lotion onto my exposed skin. Thankfully, I located a couple of gift bags with ease and purchased them for my cousins as quickly as possible. Another win was T Shirts Plus. My partner's really into college gear, so I decided to gift him with an Idaho State women's basketball shirt. The helpful employee told me that if I couldn't find the precise piece of college gear desired, he'd be happy to design and create a custom order for me. Now that's service, folks. The photo shows the current state of the courtyard. Surprisingly, the same woman there 8 years earlier was still there in 2021, looking hotter and younger...how weird is that. You'll notice that the army-green vinyl booth seats forming a child corral of sorts remain from 8 years earlier--not sure I want to take a seat on that. It appears they've upgraded the Pepsi machine and added a claw machine and a "Minimelts" dispenser. As stated earlier, Master Cuts has been replaced by something called "Diva G's," which was closed on a Friday afternoon. It was pretty dark back there so I didn't get a good look at what they sell. So it remains unclear what products divas really need to function in this day and age. You might also notice that a "Hurricane Simulator" pod has been added. Tell me about this business model. How many people in Chubbuck, Idaho, want to experience a hurricane on any given day? Go on, surprise me! As with everything in this mall, I worry about long-term profitability and the ability to keep the lights on in this cavernous, dated space. That said, I upgraded to three stars this time simply based on consistency of the experience. In this regard, the Pine Ridge Mall never disappoints.

I usually paid her up front or most of what was owed before she even got started. Maybe that was the problem. No one likes to do something that they have already been paid for. She lives close to me and it was very convenient for me to drop off items to be worked on but I need some slacks taken in before the 18th of February this month for a funeral and she would be the last person I would take my tailoring to when I only have a week to have them altered or done satisfactory. Seems she is not focused with her tailoring responsibility's or has other things more important to do rather than run a prompt and on time service. I must say she was always friendly and lead you to believe everything was going to be on the up and up....

Everytime I have used Robinville I have been impresed. Everything I have needed done has been done…read morein a timely manner. I needed a suit tailored for a wedding and it was done by the dated I asked for. I used there services earlier too when I needed a tie for an event It was done very quick and is a very good tie. Both of these were short notice to her and she was able to get them done by the time I needed them. Super frendily service and the cost is really resonable as well.

So I ended up taking them to Mr Mack who got them right in and fitted them in a little under a week. And Mr Mack doesn't charge to tailor your suits if they are bought at there store!! I contacted an employee after I couldn't find it on the shelf, they went to the back and got it and brought it out to me. I then asked her if I could still get the discount even though we did not place the order online because it was quicker to come in and get it. She said yes and to make sure the person at the register gave me the discount and to tell them that the lady in the back said to give it to us at the discount. The comforter was marked at $180 and with the discount would only be $72. So I went to check out and the lady rang it up and I proceeded to tell her the story of how we saw it online but didn't place the order because it would have been quicker to come in and just get it and that the lady in the back said it was ok to still get the discount. The lady listened and then said that she could not give me a discount, but that I could get the discount by applying for kohl's cash (which I learned is a credit card) I told her my wife didn't have to do that to get the discount. She then told me that their internet pricing is always different and that I needed to use a "kohl's kiosk" in order to get the same discount. So I walk from the front of the store back to the center of the store to find this ancient machine (honestly the tin man on wizard of OZ looked more updated than this thing) anyways I still had a tiny bit desire to try and make my wife happy and buy the comforter. I had to consistently smash the touch screen to get any response all while trying to enter my email to get an additional 15% off my purchase. After I signed up for the emails the kiosk from the Jurassic age told me that it would send me an email confirmation. After waiting for 5 minutes I never received one and ended up ditching my efforts to buy the comforter. Honestly I never shop here and will never shop here again as they were so unwilling to help me get the same discounts that my wife was able to get online. Good luck staying in business with that type of experience...

I am a big fan of surf shops because…read moreI am addicted to hoodie sweatshirts and I love to rep a new hoodie when I visit a cool place. If I can insert a bit of sarcasm, I would probably call this a Lake Shop cause ain't no surfin' on the lake that I can see. Almost every Surf Shop I've been to, from Honolulu to San Diego to San Francisco, is pricey. It is what it is so know that going in. This shop falls into the pricey category as well. They have their own line of hoodies and sweatpants, branded with their Bear Lake Surf Shop patch and I love it! My girl bought me a pair of sweatpants (which just so happened to be women's and also, fit perfectly) and a hoodie zip up. Both are super comfy and despite the massive hole in my hoodie, thanks to my puppy and her oral fixation, I really like them. I also found a beach scented candle and each time I light that sucker up, I think of the lake and how much fun I had on our trip. This shop offers a lot of cool stuff in case you don't feel like driving an hour to WalMart for a beach umbrella, vest, swim trunks, bikini :O) sunscreen and other beach related items. This can be considered a rescue spot because if you don't want that sun to blaze on your melon, that sun umbrella is an excellent investment. It is a bit on the small side inside, and with very few people wearing masks, it can get cramped and feel a bit like folks are on top of each other. Overall, this is a sharp spot and I really like it.
