He claimed he couldn't perform diagnostics due to a "low battery," then later said we needed spark plugs and ignition coils for $750. After keeping our car for over two weeks, he suddenly told us the entire motor was bad and we needed a $7,500-$8,000 engine plus $2,200 labor. We got a second opinion and had the car towed back. Experienced mechanics immediately saw that NOTHING had been touched -- the dust, wiring, and parts were all in factory condition. They started the car in two minutes with a simple $55 mass air flow sensor. The motor was never bad. We demanded a refund for the $250 he charged, and he returned it only after we showed video proof. We are also requesting he return the $150 diagnostic fee because he did not properly diagnose either vehicle -- our Nissan OR our Toyota. This situation could have put us in serious debt. Please be cautious. Always get a second opinion, and do not rely on his diagnostic or repair claims.

I told him the situation and he let me know he could check out the vehicle first thing the next day. He showed up and checked out the car, let mom's caregiver know what was going on and called me and let me know the issue was in fact not the hvac drainage but something with the sunroof. He was able to give me contact info for a sunroof repair company not too far from the house. I really appreciate his help and referral. Next time my mom's car needs attention, I'm calling Juan. Lights dimmed then died, the car struggled to keep running. I limped home on a wing and a prayer. This morning I started looking for a shop that would at least do a diagnostic right away so I could figure out my plans for going back to Virginia on Monday. After calling a few shops that wouldn't even let me have the car towed to them I found Hooligan Motorsports. A quick call with Rob and he said he could have a look at it as soon as I could get it there. We both suspected the Alternator and within 20 minutes of having the car dropped off Rob called to tell me that he could have it fixed up same day, and an hour or so after that he called again to say the car was ready to be picked up! On top of helping me out of my sudden problem right away, the cost of repair was surprisingly affordable. I'm truly fortunate to find this shop. Rob is very easy to work with. He was the miracle I needed today, and I have found the local shop where we will be taking our repair needs in the future.
