We were extremely impressed when we saw that this facility trains a lot of the police K9s in San Diego. We purchased a package with Ricky for private lessons, and during our first lesson, we were beyond impressed by his knowledge. He immediately taught us how to properly use our dogs' prong collar and how beneficial the e-collar can be if used properly. Ricky taught us how to prevent our dog from pulling while walking, "out" command, sitting when we stop walking, lying down when commanded, and stopping jumping/chewing on us out of excitement. I swear after our first lesson our 8-month-old puppy was a changed dog. We practice daily at home and he has now been able to walk off-leash and listen when commanded along with stopping at street corners and sitting before crossing with our approval of course. She loved us but was very defensive toward other people and other dogs. We couldn't have visitors at the house otherwise she would absolutely lose her mind. We couldn't take her anywhere without her barking, lunging, and pulling on the leash. We didn't want to give up on her but considering I was pregnant at the time, we needed her to improve asap. Dave spoke with us over the phone to assess Gigi's behavior and come up with a plan. From the very first meeting at the park, we saw improvements and Gigi ended up loving Dave after the first walk. She became exited to see him from then on, something we didn't think she was capable of. We walked through Kensington, let her run around the nearby park, and got her used to seeing other dogs. We eventually incorporated some family members into the training sessions and she ended up accepting them as well. Finally, we moved the training to our home to improve her behavior with visitors there since the baby was coming any day. Over those few months, Gigi went from a dog who was scared and insecure, to a dog who feels comfortable with her family, is learning to allow visitors at home, enjoys walks, and is gaining confidence more and more each day. I am including photos of Gigi with one of our family members who, prior to working with Dave, she likely would have not been so friendly with. It's amazing she is learning to love other people! We were even able to leave town and have family watch her and it was a huge success. She is also much better around our other two dogs and enjoys laying around and playing with them now! I hired Christine to watch my dog over the weekend, from Friday night to Sunday morning. I…read moreinitially had planned to split duties between her and my housekeeper. She upsold me on how she would take care of the dog the whole time and I even paid her more than just the individual walks would have cost. She came on Friday night. She didn't come Saturday morning, my dog had an accident on the couch which ruined it. My housekeeper came, realized the dog had not gone out, and walked her. Christine did not respond to messages. I then had to spend a big chunk of my vacation trying to figure out how to either come back early or find someone to take care of my dog. Christine has been active on Instagram today but has not responded to my messages about this issue, nor has she refunded the money I paid her. I ended up having to pay someone else to take care of my dog and Christine appears to have just taken off with my money. The last time Christine watched my dog, the dog had an accident that I had attributed to old age, but after this experience I suspect it is because Christine was not walking the dog in a timely manner. If my housekeeper had not come on Saturday morning to alert me to an absence of care, my dog might have been left unattended all weekend. Either way, I now have to replace my sofa. 0/10, terrible experience, I do not recommend.
