I appreciate how…read moreKatie will try to match their potty schedule as much as possible since one of my dogs poops up to 4 times a day and easily gets diarrhea and the other one cannot hold her bladder for long. I let Katie know how anxious they can get and she has been so empathetic and caring with them. I was and am continually impressed with how she always places the dogs comfort and safety first. We haven't boarded them yet (not needed for a while), but we are working on getting them comfortable with her so that it won't be a big shock and trauma to them when I leave them for the first time. They've met with her twice and already love her. Just one of the dogs has extreme anxiety and separation anxiety so when I'm not around, they easily freak out which is why I scheduled for more frequent day care days before the boarding date in order to make the boarding less stressful. Her patience with my anxious babies makes me feel very comfortable in leaving them with her. She treats my dogs how I would treat them (actually probably even better and with more patience). And I'm so impressed that I do plan to do biweekly or monthly (depending on what my budget allows) daycare with her so that the dogs will be able to have fun away from home but in a controlled and monitored environment with someone that prioritizes their comfort and safety. Her prices are super reasonable too! Side note, the dogs are trained in another language and she makes the extra effort to learn the commands in the other language for them. I didn't expect this, and am very appreciative of the effort.

They come to you, which makes the process convenient and helps the trainer work with your dog in the exact environment where the behavior matters most. Katie was professional, patient, and very knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly, tailored the training to my dog's needs, and gave me simple steps to follow between sessions. I saw real progress quickly, and my dog is calmer, more responsive, and much easier to manage day to day. If you are considering dog training, I highly recommend Wolf Girl Canine Club. When you reach out, ask for Katie.

We walked in and proceeded to the back of the store where the groomer and the Banfield Pet Hospital are located. We walked into the groomer and were the only customers. We were greeted by a very cheerful Heather. Heather was just finishing the grooming of a poodle looking dog. She took the dog to the back and returned to us. She took all of our info. We did not have proof of rabies vaccination for Ozzy. Heather was happy to call our primary vet at the El Cajon Valley Animal Hospital to verify. Once that was complete, she turned her attention to Ozzy. Heather was so sweet. Ozzy is typically a bit skittish, but she was fairly comfortable with Heather. Ozzy allowed Heather to leash her up without fighting it or whimpering. Heather's "bedside manner" was fabulous. She had us leave Ozz with her and asked us to wait outside on the bench on the other side of the frosted window. She said she'd tap on the window when Ozz was finished. About five minutes later there was a tap on the glass. Ozzy was finished and her nails trimmed properly. No muss, no fuss. 12 bucks. We went to the registers up front to pay and we were on our way.

He…read moreis nervous around men, especially tall men, and was starting to get very overly protective of our home. "Boot camp" options seemed extreme, so I called Bark Busters (BB), seeking in-home private lessons. Justin responded the same day I left a message, and we talked about my concerns with our new rescue. I decided to try the BB program, which ended up being the BEST DECISION for my pup and for me! Justin set up our first session with trainer/coach James. James spent much of the 1st session going through the goals, objectives and concepts of training, including a timeline based on reasonable expectations of my dog. James spent a lot of time explaining how to "read" my dog's behavior, and how to properly respond. He explained the concepts behind each step, which helped me to understand not just what to do, but why (thus enabling me to understand how to deploy the training to different situations). James also set up scenarios to practice, going through each step so I could gain confidence in what my role is while helping my dog settle. It really is about training the owner how to work with the dog. James provided summaries of each session, plus videos demonstrating how I can use different responses/techniques to reshape how my dog reacts to stressful situations. I saw significant progress very early in the training, and was surprised at how quickly we were able to help my dog understand his role (and to feel safe) in our home. The best part is that if I need more help, I just have to reach out to James/BB and schedule more sessions - this is included in the initial program. Given that it takes a rescue dog a while to COMPLETELY settle in, new issues could arise as time passes, and if so, all I have to do is call to set it up. In summary, Bark Busters is a GREAT dog training program, and James is a FANTASTIC BB trainer/coach! Definitely recommend BB to owners that want help with their dogs!
