We get most of our medicines from here because it's close to home and the prices are 'close enough' to the big discount chemists. The chemist is usually open to 10:00 pm which is handy. read more

Some of the seeds like flaxseed and Chia seeds which I was paying an amazing lot of money at the local health store turned out to be so much cheaper here. That too, the same brand and the same packaging... Also the best place for nappies as they are always on special here. Not only that the pharmacist are so helpful and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to explain the product and how to use. They are open till late and there is always someone help you even late. Plenty of parking is available. I am a regular and I really do think that this place really offers great customer service.

Campsie has an INSANE number of chemists, but why go to any other?
Of all the pharmacies in Kingsgrove, these guys are by far the rudest. Approx 2 years ago I broke…read moremy foot and ever since I have suffered from shocking tendinitis that I was diagnosed with. Every 3 weeks to a month I will buy a packet of nurofen plus to stem the pain in the evening after being on my feet all day. Well anyone would think I'm some kind of junkie with the way they treat me.. I have a professional job, I always walk in there dressed in corporate attire and yet I am treated like a drug pusher or an imbecile. I have always been polite but it's to a point now that I'm fed up with it! The pharmacist himself is extremely patronising and I find it invasive and embarrassing. I am well aware of the side effects to these drugs however I do not in any way shape or form abuse the intake, I am a genuine sufferer. To anyone that may genuinely have a condition that requires pain relief, I strongly recommend any of the other pharmacies in Kingsgrove who are kind, take the time to understand your injury, don't make a song and dance in front of other customers and to bypass Chemart. That is unless you want the third degree or want to be treated like a drug addict.

The Pharmacist there, Neil is awesome. He's patient, friendly and gives off this wonderful air of authority. He's the sort of guy that you'd want to have in your bunker if there was a nuclear war. The sort of person who exudes safety even though he's about the same age as me. Not only is his advice practical and reassuring, he seems happy to give it. Service is exceptional here and just to make the place even better they sell Sherbert Fountains and Darrell Lea licorice. Ace. Find them at the top of the escalators in Bridgepoint.

Located just next door, or adjacent to the Marion and Elswick Street bus stop, (depending on what…read moreworks better for your imagination in picturing this Pharmacy location) is The Pharmacy. It's a small but well stocked Pharmacy and has everything you would need from a chemist. They have vitamins and minerals, baby needs, skin care and of course they fill prescriptions. There are so many pharmacies in every single suburb, it's tough to think how any could survive and topple the others in a bid for Pharmacy supremacy, but they all manage to and I guess there's enough demand for life prolonging drugs and youth enhancing creams that each pharmacy can have their own customers and live in harmony with the surrounding ones as well. The Pharmacy is a clean, new and well located Pharmacy, halfway between Leichhardt's famous Norton Street and Leichhardt's biggest shopping centre, Marketplace. Its proximity to the popular bus stop near Elswick Street ensures it receives plenty of foot traffic and the fact that it is situated diagonally across from a doctors office, can't be bad for business either.

I bowled into this place looking like a dark ages beggar in old boots, thermals, a tatty scarf and dark bulky hood and coat. I fell to my knees and cried "Sanctuary!" before realising that only applies to churches and asking the guy behind the counter to help me. Far from shying away in horror at my ravaged countenance he politely and calmly informed me of all my options, explained the difference between certain drugs, took a stab at the oft-cynical and greedy nature of the pharmaceutical industry and sent me on my way with a pocket of over-the-counter drugs designed to help get me back on my feet. If it wasn't certain to have infected him I would've kissed the guy.
