Prior to entering the salon, the experience to schedule a grooming session was great. Done via text (in my experience) was very convenient. We were pleased to see the welcome board and the cubbies for our dogs belongings. We requested a tidy up pkg. Our dog was ready in the time they provided. The staff is amazing. Their facility is well kept and there's room to house your dog while they patiently wait. A report card is handed to the owner on how well your dog behaved, the coat condition, and their temperament. One con, but I'm sure it was overlooked, I requested to get his toe bean fur trimmed on his paws so he can have more grip on hardwood and tile surfaces. I didn't check until I got home. I'll be sure to provide that feedback once we go back again. The corgi butt trim was a bit choppy, but our dog is only five months old. I'm sure it'll get better over time. This was my only reason why I omitted giving a five star. I'll be coming back for sure! What is like to see is more interaction on their Social Media Channels. I take my golden retriever once a year in the spring to be groomed thoroughly. Last year she seemed really sore and tired after being there and I told them she was acting strange after her visit. Yesterday I took her back for the last time. They were short staffed and very busy. I didn't feel comfortable leaving my dog but they assured me they'd call if she seemed stressed or showed any concerns. After being there from 8-3 I got a call that she had bit the groomer. They said she seemed like she had an ear infection because her ears had black in them and after cleaning them she bit the groomer. This is so unlike my dog I knew there was something wrong. She would've showed some warning or signs of distress before biting. They told me because she was older and over weight , which she isn't, she couldn't come back. When I picked her up she was in a cage crying. Which again was not like her. I quickly got her and as I was paying to leave and they showed me where to leave the tip, I realized they were charging me an extra $16 from the quote. When I asked why they said there was an extra service fee for biting. I didn't tip, I got my dog , and we won't be back. Later I heard from a friend there was a 10 on your sign complaint made from a previous worker about the abuse and mistreatment of dogs being groomed there. I felt like others should hear this so they don't have an experience like we did. My dog is not a biter and I wish I knew exactly what had happened to her. read more

It's also very unprofessional to point out on that one woman's bad/accurate review of your business, that she made her first few yelp posts not so long ago. What does that have to do with anything? Even if someone made an account two minutes ago & left you a bad review, does that not make their claim valid? You pointing that out should show everyone how you think/operate, I stick fully by my opinion of your business & business practices. They've always done a good job on my doodles. However, the last time I took my dog in, she was sliced open and I was not informed. They told me the groomer nicked her leg and sent me out with a glowing report card(she was given an A+). When I got home, I saw a horrific open wound on her leg and texted a pic to my vet. Vet told me to come in immediately for staples. I spoke with the owner. She defended her groomer by saying I signed a contract(a signature on a dry erase card that is not legally binding. I'm married to an attorney. He threatened to have a field day with this). She told me her groomer was embarrassed that it happened and is why she didn't tell me. Apparently she texted a picture of the gash to the owner who told her to simply put liquid bandage on it. If you're too embarrassed to tell me, it's bc you know how bad the gash is. A nick is what you do shaving your legs. A gash needs closure. I had to ask to be refunded for the groom. Which they did. I should've sent the vet bill too. Since then, I've learned to groom doodles myself. She was not extremely matted. But, matted or not, it's not acceptable to gash a dog open and stay silent about it. read more

From the time we dropped off, we didn't feel welcomed when arriving this time, my dog was also put in a cage when if they cared to pull her chart they would see she normally stays out like the other dogs! We also usually get a phone call when she is ready I got a text which was missed so I went to get her about an hour after and she was caged. I usually get a report card and exciting news on her visit I was told my total and left to pay alone while she went to get my dog out of the cage and gives her to my 7 year old? Then we get in the car (living just a few minutes away) started noticing blood all over the (new car with white leather seats ) on my sons clothes and the carpet in the car. I pulled up to the house and called to speak to a manager . The OWNER then called me proceeding to tell me that she left early not feeling well and thought that the NEW girl(still learning) could handle it. I let her know my experience was very off from drop off to pick up and even worse after that, we all know blood stains!!! I mean clothes and carpet and not just that but my dogs HURT and you as an owner RUN a business for DOGS!!!! I'm supposed to feel my dog is safe and being taken care of and we felt very rushed, they didn't tell me anything about her visit. When I spoke to the owner she also stated because I was (with all understanding I should have been) was upset, that she was sick and didn't have to take the time to call me and could have waited another day or two??? And then said so what more do you want??? During this conversation over the phone with the owner she also continued to hang up on my like I was going to forget and let it go? How unprofessional and disrespectful can people seriously get these days? She CLAIMS That they cut dogs all the time and that it's so normal they typically never tell us?????? Oh and that when my dog who 6 yrs old "walked instead of being carried out of the store" the concrete did that???????? I'm blown and not only did I have this experience and while originally very nice to the owner just expressing my concerns and how my experience went compared to our normal visits, she was very short with me, rude and argumentative making excuses for everything. I'm absolutely blown and EVERYONE should consider taking your babies here! I not only paid $60 for a nail trim and shampoo and instead my poor dog was cut and I have an injured dog who now needs another shampooing along with the seats and carpet in my new van!!!! And nothing but disrespect from the OWNER! Absolutely ridiculous that this is how you treat the ones who give you business without us you wouldn't have shit! And clearly showed absolutely NO care in the world for my dog nor was she apologetic AT ALL... she cares about her money for her shitty service and could care less about any of the dogs !!!!! I've brought my dog Chi in many times and they are always great. Chi is always happy and not the least bit fussy to go. Ive had groomers in the past that left her soaking wet which leaves her smelling worse than when we began. This place never does. I also love that There is not a rotating staff of people. My mom and I have been taking our yorkie, Olive, here since the place opened up! She has slight separation anxiety from us but she has absolutely no issue getting dropped off here. If she could speak I know she would tell us how much she loves it. They do such a great job getting her back in order (she's a rough and active little thing) and she always is delivered to us with a cute bow in her hair. We recently decided to treat our other dog, a pittbull named Sophie, to a well deserved spa day. It was her first time going to a groomers since we rescued her two years ago. We usually have to climb into the shower with her and scrub her down, it's quite the workout. She was dropped off in the morning and was there for quite awhile before finally being ready for pick up. I'm not usually one to leave a negative review, but I feel it is necessary in this case. My normal groomer was booked out for about three months, so I made an appointment with Blue Dog because they had plenty of openings. First off, they don't make appointments... It's a first come, first served situation. So I dropped my dog off at 9:20am and they didn't text me that he was done until 4:45pm. That's nearly 7.5 hours. Talk about stressful for a dog. And when I dropped him off there were 8 dogs ahead of him (out of 18). When I picked him up, the person checking me out told me he didn't do well and that he nipped her multiple times (without breaking the skin). Which I felt bad about and apologized bc he usually isn't that bad according to his usual groomers. Then she told me he doesn't like his face or feet messed with (what dog does?!?) and that maybe I should "get him groomed at the vet instead." Then I paid the $60 and even tipped bc I felt obligated after she told me how bad he was. When she brought him to me, she told me that she nicked him in his tuck up, but very condescendingly told me it was his fault because he kept moving and that they "did the best they could considering the situation." So all of this had basically left a nasty taste in my mouth. Not to mention this place is literally twice the price of my regular groomer. And I still had to even out chunks of fur that they missed around his butt, his neck, and his front legs. But the icing on the cake (and the reason I'm leaving this review) is that as soon as we came home, my poor baby drained a water bowl that had about 8 ounces in it. He's a 9 lb maltepoo for reference. So basically he didn't have access to water that whole time! Unacceptable. read more

I made an appointment two weeks in advance to have my dog groomed. I thought it was odd that they were scheduling appointments on January 1st, which is New Year's Day but they assured me they were open. The day before my appointment, I received a text confirming that my dog was scheduled for the next day. Blue Dog Grooming uses a "first come, first served" policy so I arrived 30 minutes prior to their opening so that my anxious dog would be groomed first. Nevertheless, the store never opened. No one showed up and they were clearly closed. When I contacted the owner, Vickie, to let her know I had been waiting outside the store for 40 minutes, she texted that they "tried to call me many times" but couldn't get a hold of me. That is ridiculous. How simple would it have been to leave me a message canceling my appointment? She said they closed due to a staff member's spouse having covid. I understand having to close but I don't understand why they wouldn't notify me that my appointment was cancelled. To make matters worse, I received an appointment confirmation the day before! When I expressed my frustration to the owner, Vickie, and asked her how she planned to rectify the situation, she told me to find another groomer. Absolutely horrible customer service! read more

Not worth the price at all. Rude employee, rushed me out the door and pressured me into tipping. Not cool. I attempted to call to have Bella's nails fixed but the woman refused and hung up on me. I do believe this is the correct shop, Located off pleasure house road. I have never used your mobile grooming, Only in shop. My husband always takes Bella here, So he is the one who has an account with you guys. Due to our crazy schedules, I was the one who took Bella in for her grooming. The employee who checked me out made my overall experience absolutely dreadful. I've never felt so rushed to leave an establishment, Although I was told Bella wouldn't be ready until the end of the day. Since it was my first time taking Bella to the groomers, I was curious as to how my Bella was behavior wise. The groomer told me she was "Fine" as she rushed me through the payment method, followed by the exact words, "Most of our clients are extremely generous with tips, We hope you join them! We don't like stingy clients around here, do we Bella?" While handing me back the iPad device used to pay. I was shocked, almost thought it was a joke. Although I did tip, I felt extremely pressured as the comment made was forceful. I proceeded to ask once again how Bella was, and the groomer seemed to shoo me out the door. Once I returned home, it was very obvious that Bella's left front and back nails were in fact not trimmed or filed, which made me upset especially knowing I paid the extra 10$ to get them filed. When I called briefly after noticing, The same woman who checked me out answered the phone. I explained Bella's nails. The woman argued back and forth with me insisting they were done. After I suggested I brought Bella back in to have her look back over her nails, The woman let out a large sigh followed by the phone hanging up. I have attempted to call back several times but my calls will not go through. Wondering if my number has been blocked. I'm extremely disappointed in the services I paid for, along with the customer service I received. This is the first time I've ever been unsatisfied with Bella's groom. read more

This was my sweet Ferdinand's first time at this salon, and we will definitely be back! The staff was very friendly and understood my requests. They did a beautiful job trimming around his feet, tail and back-side which had become a bit unruly and overgrown. It even looks like they trimmed his nails down too, which I didn't ask for but definitely appreciate! I love that they didn't make him look TOO fluffy either, I feel like that's always an issue with the other groomer I've taken him to. In terms of pricing, I paid a bit more than what I've paid elsewhere, but the price was still fair for the value of the wash/dry and trim ($45 for a 10 lb dog "clean up" service). Everything from the blackboard outside welcoming the day's guests, to their own personalized cubbies and report card at pick-up shows that this business cares about its customers and their pups, and go the extra mile to make the experience both pleasant and unique! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because my dog seemed extremely out of breath and thirsty when I picked him up. I have no doubt he worked himself up in an unfamiliar place, but it seemed like maybe he hadn't had access to water because he drank his entire water bowl as soon as we got home which is unusual for him. That, and the strange/somewhat uneven trimming of his whiskers were the only small hiccups, but otherwise I would definitely recommend to other dog owners and plan to be back in the future! read more

My standard poodle has had a few decent cuts from here but also some terrible ones. The last cut being the worst and final one. The inconsistency here has been its downfall. I expressed kindly to the owner my disappointment the first time a large mistake was made. This last cut was pure incompetence. We went over the blade size and he was shaved to half of the length we deMy dog has also had a slight personality change and has been very needy since his last cut here which leads me to believe some sort of trauma or abuse occurred as well. Would NOT recommend Update: the owner responded within 45 min of my post and stated she was able to find and review my dogs 4 hr appt a couple weeks ago. I find this highly unlikely that his 4 hrs at the shop was able to be reviewed in 45 min. This makes me even more certain the owner does not have the best interest of dogs at heart and probable liar. read more

We took our mini goldendoodle here for the first time today, and it was the last. His haircut was uneven everywhere with random patches twice as long as the rest of the cut. They also skin-shaved a 2 inch wide strip from under his tail to his stomach, which clearly was not how he was ever cut before, and definitely not what we requested. It is going to take months for that hair to grow back. They also said they would trim his nails, but they are somehow the same length they were before... definitely not worth $75 read more

My babies LOVE Blue Dog! Chance is 15 and Sinker is 10 months and every time we pull up they are excited to go in. They are extremely polite and professional. A couple of times I needed to pick the boys up at a specific time and they are always as accommodating as they can be and if they can't up front in telling me so. I received a call from Vicky saying that we had a dog groomer at our house we had a appointment and I must've forgotten about it. I did not hear the doorbell because I was in the backyard working and my wife was in the shower at that time. She stated that she sent a reminder text message which I never did received. She wanted to charge me a no show charge not only for the dog that was supposed to be groomed but she also wanted to charge me for second dog which never had a appointment to begin with. They said it's under the terms and conditions of not being home. So I started to question why she charge me for both dogs but only one was supposed to be groomed that day. That's when Vicky started to become very rude she started to insult my wife and I and started stalking me on my Facebook to find info. She was not professional at all she started to harass me by sending text messages nonstop and all I was doing was questioning why am I getting charge for both dogs to be groomed when only one of them was scheduled for that day. So Vicky start to speculate on everything. She try to sit there and say that we were hiding in our house to avoid them. I have never heard of a business owner behaving like this. I did end up paying her. I just don't want the headache anymore but I will never use this company again nor would I ever recommend this company to anybody. I don't give a lot of negative reviews and I try to avoid it but this time there was no way I can ignore this!!! In response to the reply - Your groomer never tried to talk to my wife in fact my wife asked the groomer to please move the truck so she can back out and leave to go to her appointment. The groomer refused to back the truck up and try to block my wife in the driveway. My wife didn't know the groomer was there for us. Also as of receiving a text message I would like to receive proof that I received a text message because nothing came though and you want to sit there and say that I bullied you it doesn't work that way you were bullying me because I was trying to understand why I'm being charge for both dogs but you refused and you starred to insult me and my wife. You can try to play victim but you're a business owner and you refused to even listen to me when I'm trying to question the bill. And then you start bullying us to pay it. This is the third groomer I tried in the area and I've finally found one I'm going to stick with! We had a great experience from start to finish with Blue Dog. The assistant at the front took her time to meet our pups and take notes on how we wanted them cut. I had very specific desires for each papillon and they were executed perfectly! I love that they asked what time I'd like to pick them up and actually got them done on time. When I came to pick them up, my two boys looked perfect and were super happy. My one papillon's coat that never gets cut looked so conditioned and silky. The best ever! The facility is clean, the owner and staff were super friendly and loving, and we got a cute report card with the pups when we picked them up! I really feel like this groomer goes the extra mile. Importantly, the prices were very reasonable for the area. Overall, this was the best combination of service + reasonable prices for a groomer I have ever been to and I look forward to coming back. read more
