I've been going here for over 9 years, and some of these reviews are absolutely ridiculous, dramatic, or made up. Both of the new locations are NOT infested with cockroaches or anytime of bugs for that matter, lunch is required for you to bring and if your child isn't sent with lunch they make you bring lunch or find them lunch, snacks are in fact included which ranges from goldfish, cheez its, cracks, popsicles, chips, and so much more not only that ice tea is also served as well with water stations if your child would prefer water sand like to refill it. We aren't forced outside in hot weather with weather advisory at all, weather is checked everyday ad activities change based on the weather, kids love going oustie due to all the sports like basketball, tennis, volley, soccer, kickball, and games like 'Steal the Bacon' or 'Fishy Fishy Cross the Ocean' that are avavaivkle for kids to play, water is encouraged and made sure upon hat miss are hydrated, have enough water, and is drinking their water. OBVIOUSLY a school bus isn't going to have AC however some buses have fans built in, some don't but windows are open and the drivers takes the bus route to get to places the fastest, kids do not get off the bus sick and occasionally kids may have to sit 3 to a seat if the bus ride is short 10-15 minutes or less and there isn't a lot of buses aqavale but it is rare and is mostly always 2 to a seat. There is absolutely AC available in EACH room that gets cold pretty easily and helps kids cool off. Kids do take breaks if outside to use the bathroom or get water and also cool off. Kids request to go to the park, and lunch is for 30 minutes so that kids aren't on the grass for long. Many kids sit on their bags or towels they use after they go swimming, and we go to the park to have lunch and play after. Speaking of swimming, kids do not sit on benches and just be quiet, or they'll get separated. The kids typically swim for about an hour; why would they make kids quiet while watching other kids socialize and swim?? This would only happen if an issue happens between 2 kids or a group of kids; they use inappropriate language after being warned many times, put hands on each other, or any other concerning situation. Trips aren't an extra fee AT ALL the only time you'll ever have to pay for a trip if its to PA trips like 'Dorney Park', 'Sesame Street', etc, trips like swimming, bowling, and roller skating are free and isn't an extra fee, every kid is taken on the bus to go to a trip and not left behind unless its a PA trip which notices in advance will be sent out for this. read more

They say there is ZERO tolerance for fighting and your child could be expelled from the camp if they fight....My son was new to this camp, and on his very first day, at the very start of the day, 9:00am, another camper (who has been there before) started a fight with my son by repeatedly taking his water bottle and throwing it across the room and then punched him in the face.....What a welcoming for my son's first day of summer at a new camp....Further, that kid found every instance to start something with my son. NOTHING was done to solve the problem throughout the summer. Lunch or snacks are NOT included. Weekly trips are $80 EXTRA for every trip. So if you don't pay the extra $$$ weekly, your child does not got on ANY trips and is just stuck at the camp site. They ask for "tips to give to the counselors." They are a cheap camp (price wise) so you get what you pay for!!!! read more

I worked here ,Once, for a reason.... They underpay you and call it a stipend and keep you as FREE movers to fill up a 26 foot PENSKE.... TWICE, moving into camp and out. Our "bonus" at the end was from singles to $20 ANDDDD it was technically the tips from the parents. The favoritism is ridiculous, My fellow counselor was suspended twice. Once because he wasnt fully responsible for a special mediation for a camper but it was misplaced and he got a day suspension. The second time he was telling a story to a camper ,very miscellaneous, and mentioned a female counselor's name. Now the camper assumes they are dating and tella their parents and the parents told the boss. The last day is the worst part , we still have camp running and we get back to pack a 26foot penske to a storage unit . Most of us woke up at 4am to get to camp at 7am to leave at 12am. The counselors were underage with furious parents. We basically worked for 18 hours and got paid half or a third. read more

Former counselor! management was very unprofessional. They will tell you what you want to hear just to satisfy you. Place is unsanitary (roach infestation), trips consist of cramming campers into a bus without air conditioning, over 150+ kids and they place 3 to a seat. The kids are always getting sick on the bus from the heat. A lot of bullying between other campers as well. Looked forward to working for this camp, only to be discouraged each day I walked through the doors. I gave my all for those kids because I loved them, it always went unnoticed by staff. Expressed my feelings to my boss at the time (Mr. Chris) and instead of receiving a text or phone call trying to fix the situation, he instead revoked all my access to scheduling and removed me from the staff page. Wouldn't recommend this job to anyone. You work 45 hours a week and only get paid $215. read more

My son had a great experience. There were a lot of outdoor activities. I like they use a private pool instead of the public city pools other camps use. For the last day at camp, the kids enjoyed a carnival with games and a dj. Bus service was excellent. Driver was always on time. Overall, a very nice camp with a loving and caring staff. read more

Last year we used blue dolphin's summer camp. The first and last weeks seemed to be the best. All trips are extra and there is a fee if you are late for pick up. My son said that during day they played video games or just went to the park. The counselors are friendly and my son likes them a lot, but most of his days during the mid weeks were not very constructive. read more

Activities are ok. They bring the kids to the park pretty much everyday - regardless of the heat advisories. The kids sit in the dirt/ground/grass/blacktop to eat lunch. My son complains everyday about having to escape Ants, flies and bees during lunch. On a day where the real feel was going to be 110 degrees, parents were told to send extra water. lol. I know other area camps changed their schedules for indoor activities on these days. There's no access to air conditioning at the school or on the buses. Also, despite being told to bring money on a skating trip, my son's game tokens and tickets were taken by a counselor and not returned. And I was never contacted. On swim days, if your kid is not in the mood,they must sit silent on benches during swim time. If they talk to other kids on the bench,they are separated. Lots more I'm not happy about. We were pressured into prepaying for the summer and now my poor child doesn't want to go the last few weeks. Kid will have fun anywhere but as a parent,I think there's a lot they can improve. read more
