My LO has been here since 11 weeks old and now she's almost 3! The director of the school is very friendly and is always available to address your concerns. The teachers engage the children in a structured curriculum. They helped/encouraged my LO with all her milestones - tummy time, sitting up, crawling, walking, eating by themselves, potty training, etc. The curriculum covers all sorts of activities: art, open play, music, outdoor play / water play, dance, blocks/patterns/puzzles, etc. There are all sorts of activities for them to play with and enjoy. They use the Tadpole's app so you will receive daily reports of your LO along with pictures. My nephew, friends children, etc. all go here as well and we share the same sentiments. Lunch and snacks are provided to kids who can eat school food. Another plus is that they have an open door policy. You're welcome to come by anytime mid-day to visit or hang out with your LO. Those who work close by sometimes drop by during their lunch break to see their LO before going back to work. I've been to some places where they don't even let you peek inside the classroom, so I am thankful that they have this policy. read more

My two year old twins started here and it's the best thing ever! The school is super clean and the teachers are all so nice and patient. They send up updates throughout the day of your child's progress along with pictures. I feel so comfortable sending my kids here. I highly recommend!! read more

I love this place. They have a really great thing going there. My daughter had nothing but wonderful experiences here. Fun crafts, memorable events, super clean and so organized. I'd get photos throughout the day, reports by end of day and was always informed. I wish they had grades kindergarten thru college lol. KA you will always have a place in our hearts. read more

thank you so much for writing about the infant classroom. I felt exactly the same way as the past 1 star review!! I am so sorry to say, but please look elsewhere.it is not a nuturing place for infants. the TA and teachers were HORRIBLE. my lo cried at drop off and at pick ups! she developed fungi in diaper area overnight and pimples on the back of her head. when i open the door, the ta standing over my lo as she cried! as with all moms , we all worry if we have placed our child in a safe and nurturing place. please for future moms, go elsewhere. I dont know about the older kids classrooms, but the infant classroom for sure is not recommended at all. As a new mom, i red flags but was so distracted with the older kids's materials and resources. look for caring nuturing facility and teachers and not those whose priorities and convenience are their own. read more

I cant say enough wonderful things about this place. Both of my children attended and the staff and facility is excellent. They even have an app that allows you to view photos of your child throughout the day and they send a comprehensive daily report at the end of the day detailing their activities, nap schedule and what foods they ate. Judy, the center director, is extremely responsive and you can tell she truly cares about all of the children as if they were her own. My son came here a few times when he was 7 during the summer and he loved it!! The classrooms were clean and bright. For the older kids, they were in 2nd floor. They have an outdoor play area as well which is safe& enclosed. The staff was friendly and knowledgable. I got a daily sheet of everything he ate& his daily activities. I would recommend this place for older children; potty trained& able to tell you what goes on during the day. read more

Their Pre-K program just doesn't hit the mark. It was great as a daycare center, as all they really did was babysit the children, but when it comes to learning they are horrible. My granddaughter who is a year behind Pre-K learning knows more than my grandson who is in their Pre-K program. lease consider putting your child in a Public School Pre-K not Kiddee Academy of Whitestone. read more

This place is terrible. Within the first 2 days my baby developed a diaper rash (she does not have sensitive skin). They also took the children outside and the teachers would talk amongst themselves as children sat on the ground and cried. They also took all the batteries out of toys so none of the toys would make noise. That is the whole point and why kids enjoy them so much! It was extremely depressing. There are much better options for your children that are a bit cheaper or about the same price. Check out Preschool of America or Ivy League Academy. read more

Our daughter has been attending Kiddie Academy for 2 years now. She loves it! Not only do they focus on social development for toddlers, they have a curriculum and learn about character traits, letters, shapes, colors and other skills they need to know in preparation for pre-k and kindergarten. And most importantly, my daughter loves going to "school" everyday! The teachers are wonderful, and the director and assistant director are very helpful and great as well. We also receive daily reports as well as pictures and videos via email. It's great receiving pictures and videos of our daughter during the day while we're at work. read more

Past Reviewers are ACCURATE! This place is horrible. I have never seen such a lack of concern for the toddlers. My daughter was here for a very brief time. She got hurt several times w.o an incident report ever being provided. When we asked to see the video feed - it was denied to us. So, we were never given a proper explanation for the head bump or bruises. Day care workers chat amongst themselves for the most part of the day.Don't walk away -- Run if you can! read more

What do I like...everything. My daughter has been learning since she walked (carried) through the door at 5 months old. All of the staff is friendly & loving. Miss Judy & Miss Diane are always available to talk, help, calm me down when I'm worried about nothing. My daughter had one more year at the KA and I will miss everyone there, not sure what I will do without them. read more

I can't say enough good things about Kiddie Academy. I have two small children who attend, my son who is 3 (started at 20 months) and my daughter who is 16 months (started at 10 weeks) The first thing I noticed when touring the school for my son- the classes are immaculate. There are many classrooms which allow for smaller classes - individual attention to each child. The days are filled with activities, many educational. They also have a nice outdoor play area which my son loves. My daughter started at 10 weeks old in the infant room. I felt very comfortable enrolling her at an early age as all of the staff are well trained, CPR certified, etc. The teachers in the infant room were very caring and nurturing. I felt 100% at ease, knowing she was in great hands. She never cried when I left her in the mornings. In fact, she would reach out to the teachers with open arms. My son is starting UPK at Kiddie Academy in the fall and I am very excited about it. I am confident that he will receive an excellent pre-school education which will prepare him for kindergarten. At the moment he is in Kiddie Academy's summer camp program. This program offers SO much for the children. Animal shows, magic shows, Zumba classes - there is never a dull moment, and their little minds are constantly being stimulated! Our son has been attending Kiddie Academy since he was one year old. He is now nearly two and enrolled in the toddler class for his age group. We have found that the quality of care has been very good. The teachers are caring and concerned about the welfare of all of the children, and our son has progressed very well in their care. We have always felt welcome to discuss any issues and the staff has been very responsive to any of our concerns. Our son is developing speech and social skills well, he is very happy, and we are very satisfied that Kiddie Academy is doing more than enough to offer our lo a nurturing and stable environment. We visited many daycare facilities prior to enrolling our son at Kiddie Academy and we were very disappointed with what we found. Luckily a friend suggested Kiddie Academy, and we have been very happy with the quality of care provided over the past year. read more

Both of my children attended Kiddie Academy of Whitestone in the past. My son attended as a toddler and I was happy with his experience for the most part (aside from the turn over rate which was very high). The turn over rate bothered me from the beginning because my child would get acquainted with a staff member and then they would leave...but they and I eventually got passed that. Another common downside - staff would talk amongst each other and complain about the pay rate (which is very low) and they would do this frequently in front of parents. I overlooked and gave another chance, I was happy when my daughter attended Kiddie Academy. The teachers in the nursery room were incredibly welcoming, understanding, and helpful -- my daughter loved them and thrived, learned a lot and we were all so very happy. Expectedly, she would catch the common cold -- which is totally understandable and we would get through it...I had to draw the line soon enough...When she moved on to the "Discovering Me" Toddler Program (Also known as the Transition Room), everything went down hill.... She would get sick every week from single ear infections to double ear infections, croup cough, coxsackie virus - also known as the mouth, hand and foot disease, and the list goes on and on. The problem was very easy to resolve which was not acknowledged by management --- "clean and sanitize", which was unfortunately not the case and we spent thousands of dollars a year. In addition, not all staff in the Transition room were welcoming and helpful which was frustrating to say the least. I was exhausted --- having to pay hundreds of dollars in copays for PM Pediatrics and my primary care physician. If you don't mind going to PM Pediatrics every week, then you should give Kiddie Academy a chance. I do, however, recommend frequent site visits from the owner and a clear understanding of what is going on in each classroom. Often times, my child would come home with diaper rashes --- should not have been happening if she was changed every 2-3 hours. Very disappointed and I do not recommend. read more
