It's tucked right off the main road in Paducah, which makes it super convenient to grab a bite before or after your flight. Bonus points for being stress-free from the moment you park to the moment you board. The bag check process? A breeze. TSA? Practically a polite wave through a high-tech bag scanner (they even have the fancy new machines). And every single employee I interacted with was genuinely kind and helpful--like, Southern hospitality in airport form. Now let's talk about the gate area. Sure, there are only two gates (and let's be real, only one seems to be in action at a time), but the seating situation? Chef's kiss. You've got your standard airport rows with outlets, Jetsons-style lounge chairs, pods with privacy dividers perfect for pulling out a laptop, and even a four-seat square setup with space to stretch out. Need to perch up high? There's a high-top table too. It's basically the WeWork of tiny airports. There's also a small vending area with a few snacks and drinks--nothing to write home about or hold your breath for, but it'll hold you over in a pinch. He came on time to pick up us. We weren't quite ready, but he waited patiently. There were 7 of us. We rode in the immaculate white Explorer. We were a little cozy, but it was fine. Fred was very accommodating, flexible, friendly, helpful and kind. One of my grandsons is handicapped and he was very helpful with him. Let him ride in the front with him and helped with his walker. We were allowed to bring snacks and water which we indulged in between stops. He dropped us off at the door and we did not see him again until it was time to move on to the next stop. One of the wineries was closed for a wedding so he substituted another winery on the opposite side of the tour we were doing, but were interested in because the winery has a store in our town that we go to often. We had a great time! If you are in doubt, go for it. We met his wife, Heidi, at one of the stops and I am sure she would be just as good.

I attempted to make reservations with another rental company so I could return the vehicle to Seay's and get everyone home. After receiving confirmation and cancellations twice from Enterprise in 48 hours, I contacted Seay's and explained the situation. They gladly extended the rental through Sunday and sent the invoice to my email. While all the larger companies like Enterprise and Hertz car rental were playing games, Seay's provided friendly service and held to their word.

We took our RV in for a repair on the roof in Nov of 2025. We did not get the RV back until Feb of…read more2026. At this time there was snow and ice on the ground and we were unable to inspect the RV for a few days. Once we did, we found that the work was not good. It looked like they had busted the roof rails, there were gaps in the seal around the skylights and along the front. We notified Open Roads and they said to bring it back in and they would make it right. They had our RV for 2.5 more months. This time when we picked it up, they admitted that they had broken the roof rails previously and that they were replaced this time. Everything appeared to be fixed. Then 2 months later after several weeks of rain, we noticed that the shower had water in it. When we investigated, we found that the skylight had not been sealed at all. While Open Roads has been friendly and helpful, I am not secure with their work. My camper is only 2 years old.

We found this campground on Passort America while we were on our way to Chattanooga. Not only was…read moreit a good value; Danielle (one of the owners) was probably one of the nicest people I've ever encountered at any campground. She got all of our info and told us which site we'd be in. We didn't have to give a credit card to hold the spot and when we got there, our reserve tag was on the site (site 15). She emailed me a site map so we'd know where to go. When she said it was right off the highway and behind the Marathon Station and Motel 6, I started to wonder. But she also said they were in a valley to where you couldn't hear highway noise. We finally got there and it was nice. Literally right off the highway. We took the first right after the Marathon Station and drove down into the campground (which is the only thing down the road). So truly, you could barely see the sign from the Marathon. From my window I can see the motel 6 at the top of the hill (and it looks like a nice one). It's a quaint little campground, only about 30 sites. The owners want to build a bath house and laundry facility. The roads are gravel but the sites are all concrete with a gravel approach pad. There is a dump station as well as firepits and picnic tables at most sites. But, I liked the fact that they are right next to the Livingston Trail system. The gate was closed but my dog and I could get thru/under it. Did I mention it was fall, so the leaves were beautiful. All in all this was a great little place to spend the night. It was quiet and felt very safe to us. If I had things to do in the area, I would definitely stay here for the value. We were in a 43 foot motor home with a tow vehicle and didn't have to unhook.

This rest area is an exit off the highway with access from both northbound and southbound. There are a few turns you'll be making to get here and get parked but if you need a rest, this is the best option. It is a big loop and there are plenty of trees. Depending on the time of day and the time of year, you might even find a shady spot to take a snooze before heading back. There is a small playground, a vending area and restrooms that were in decent shape.
