They have a Superman cutout that you can stand behind to take a photo. Other than that, a standard rest area.

Small playground for kids

Clean restrooms, young child playground, vending machines, Superman photo spot. Fresh running water, dog walk areas

fun little rest area just outside of Metropolis, very clean, very tidy, very crowded on the overnight nap-and-go before looking at the last 500 miles of 2100 on this poor excuse for a weekend. parking areas are not super big but there's some alternatives when it fills up. if you're just pausing the grounds are pretty large and well kept with a fun looking play area for the little people in your party. rest rooms, vending, and picnickery are in good repair so do what you have to do and then get back to where you were going :-)

Easy in/out. Plenty of parking. Clean restrooms. Green spaces to relax and hang out if you like.

After a long drive this was a nice reasonable stopping place. We was lucky they had a king size…read moreroom and they gave us a free upgrade being rewards members. There are lots of upgrades that have taken place. There are still a few more that could use some love. The free breakfast is a bag full of things to carry out. There s is Military friendly location. Did I say it ls very reasonable..

The word that I'm going to highlight for this review is context. I'll give you the cold facts…read more(mixed in with some of my humor because I have to keep it entertaining for myself) and context so that you can feel good about where you sleep tonight. Also, no blaming someone else if you end up not liking your decision, ha! Cold hard facts: 1.) Newly renovated! Which mean laminate floors, no nasty carpet that makes you cringe when you think about removing your shoes. All the furniture is modern and updated as well. 2.) The new renovation budget only went so far! I don't know what this place looked like before they updated it but the ghost of Super 8's past can be seen in fleeting glimpses throughout the common areas and the rooms. What am I taking about?! First of all, the aroma, if you will, reminds me of a hotel where smoking was allowed and they renovated it by ripping up the carpet and repainting. However, the memory remains (should I cite Lars here? He may add me to the list of people to sue along with Napster). I could be making it up, I have a vivid imagination but I think I saw an old cigarette machine that was "out of order" like every vending machine located off the lobby. Also, the air conditioning is one of those units under the window that works okay. 3.) Last but not least, the bathroom. I'm a weirdo when it comes to bathrooms...so take this into consideration or ignore it. I don't like public bathrooms, especially hotel bathrooms. They have to be like 100% clean for me to be "okay" to use it. Otherwise, I'll probably freak out and start thinking about all the other icky things in the room. I digress...it's small. There's only room for a toilet and small shower. The vanity and sink are right outside the bathroom. You can tell they just didn't have the budget to renovate but it was very clean. 4.) Random stuff that matters: staff is very friendly and helpful! They don't have password protected WiFi. They have an outdoor pool, I didn't have time to use it. They have free breakfast from 6:00-9:00 am. The price was just about right for the value. Context: If possible, I would give this place a 3.5 star rating but because of the area we were in, it gets a 4 Star. If you accidentally pass it because Google Maps leads you the wrong way, you'll notice it's a small town. It has a rural feel to it, nothing too fancy. I don't have a problem with that, I grew up in a small town too. If you are used to staying in hotels in bigger cities, you may embrace the 3 star rating. Hope this helps, happy hotel searching!

I will start by saying we made do for the 2 nights. We won't come back again…read more Upon entering it looks decent, there a Very strong perfume deodorizer in the lobby. The breakfast area is nice size, furniture throughout is aging. Carpets in halls and stairs need replacing. The room has had some updates with carpet and counters. Very musty smell. Large size sitting area double beds. 2 tvs, one in sitting area one in bedroom area. Coffee maker was odd. Shower was clean but curtain needs a good bleaching or replacing. Breakfast bar was average, my eggs were cold, no knives replaced after I got the last one yesterday. No fresh pastry items Saturday. I will say the lady in charge was working hard, and very calm in confronting a customer who made a very inappropriate remark towards a worker. Ice machine didn't work for the 3 days we were there along with nothing in the vending machine. No ice in the place.

We reserved our room over a month ago because we were driving to a football tournament and didn't…read morewant to push an 11-hour drive in one stretch. We checked in around 1 a.m., and the room was nothing like what we were told. It couldn't fit six people, and it was filthy. The couch had white and brown stains with trash stuffed in the cushions. The bed skirt had stains, the walls had splashes of who-knows-what, and the floor hadn't been swept or vacuumed. Even under the sink looked like it hadn't been touched in ages. The front desk staff member was kind and let us view another room, 320. It was just as bad plus stink bugs scattered around. There were also suspicious people hanging around the hallway, and at that point we knew we weren't staying. We left and drove two hours to Nashville in the middle of the night just to get a clean, safe hotel. Later, when I realized my key fob was missing, I was told someone would call after checking the room. No one ever did. I called over seven times with no answer. When I finally reached someone, he told me to call back the next day because "other customers come first," even after I explained I was literally driving through the town on my way home. This was hands down the worst hotel experience I've ever had. This entire experience fell far below what guests should expect. Cleanliness, safety, and basic customer service were all lacking. I hope management takes this seriously and addresses the cleanliness protocols, room inspections, and communication practices so future travelers don't experience the same issues.
