Came to town expecting to take Uber/Lyft to & from the concert but no drivers were available. Red Top Cab saved the evening for us! A very sweet gentleman took us to the show (for less than the Uber/Lyft quote if a driver would've picked up the gig) then the owner (Robin P.) picked us up afterwards, even though they'd closed for the day. We had a wonderful conversation about the concert and Marion, IL on the way back. Small town service like the good old days! Needed to get to Carbondale Amtrak for a 3:15am departure to Chicago. I called at 1:30am and the dispatcher was very pleasant. Requested a 2am pickup. I live close to red top in marion and always call with plenty of time and they half the time make me late for work! I hate it!!

Not helpful, not accommodating. I told the lady I dont mind paying $9 for the ride so I didnt have to walk in the rain. "We are on the other side of town, and another cab is going that way but I dont know if they'll have room for you, so we can see, and if not, then you can wait for another one, but like I said, we're on the other side of town." I'd pay double not to walk in the rain. But because of how inhospitable and cold she was, I would walk double in the rain NOT to give them my money. Not right to run a monopoly on an area of town deprived of local transportation I will contact Uber and Lyft to get more advertising over here in this area so the people have a good experience and pricing. Awful service. Called for taxi at airport, they said a few minutes. Called 20 minutes later, they said we're here but can't find you (We were the only people standing right outside the massive control tower, like a sore thumb). Waited longer and no one showed. Called back and they said they left because another fare called and was unhappy about their wait. wtf about us? 0 stars. Just use Uber. There's a couple drivers usually available. Red Top Cab Service in Marion Illinois is a bogus operation it's like 30 degrees at 1 in the morning just getting back from the hospital and need a ride home and they got to go and tell me they cannot give me a ride not even halfway I only have $3 to my name and they can't even give me a ride half way they told me they cannot come out and pick me up unless I have $7 so basically they don't give a crap about people in general when this is the type business if they run is to pick people up and give them rides when they need it and they also need to have meters in their vehicles because they're ripping people off with their high-dollar BS prices!!!! read more

This deserves a 0 star rating. They ran me off of the road today and drove off. When I called to speak with their manager or whoever it was that I needed to complain to they had no sympathy and said that I must have been the one at wrong as they are always in the right.
