Mike, the owner, is extremely hands-on, and was on site the majority of the time, and was patient and very knowledgeable. Blue haven has a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. Have stated issues that need to be resolved since last August and suddenly now they claim nothing is their problem. Their staff lacks common courtesy of returning messages and calls. They take everything as a personal attack instead of from a professional standpoint. Will be reporting and having BBB look into complaints further. Only given one star because there isn't an option for zero. Do NOT use this company. Certain things were done cheaply and they have no actual expertise and that's why. Spend the money and have someone who knows pools help you. read more

Dillon in sales was wonderful. Sub contractors were great. Customer service and follow up was nonexistant. Hole placed in gunite and plaster in the bottom of the pool for a hand rail we did not order. Auto fill sensor placed the first time and fell off several days later. Second time it was placed it is not in the correct level so the area around the over flow valve is a marsh! Skimmer has no door so when the pump turns off, everything in the skimmer comes back out into the pool. Over all the pool is built well minus the issues listed. Getting anyone to take care off issues is very frustrating. Hope some one from Blue Haven reads this. I do not have confidence they will. read more

The rating is based on how long it has taken to get the pool completely finished. As of right now, it has been 7 months and it isn't finished yet. The process started out great in June. Really nice salesman came out to give us a quote and walk us through the timeline and process. We decided to go with Blue Haven based on salesman and price. July 5th, 2024, we went to office on Cherry Lane to pick out colors and materials. Nice and easy process. Timeline was said to be 4 to 6 weeks. Blue Haven broke ground in late July 2024. Process is still going well. Communication from salesman and construction staff was consistent. Hole dug and cement poured fairly quickly. We knew there would be a wait so the cement could cure. That wait wasn't too bad. Mid October came and it was time for pool school. The process has been significantly stagnant since then. Responses to my communication has been few and far between. "The guys will be there this week. There was a delay. It will be next week" are the most consistent responses we get. The patio overlay was finally applied. The mastic was installed. January arrived and the cleaner pump was installed. The cleaner was delivered but not installed. The umbrella anchors and basketball goal anchors have yet to be installed. The fill line is still not operational. The cleaner pump started leaking soon after it was installed and yet to be fixed even after notifying Blue Haven as soon as it started leaking. We are still waiting on the items from the punch list to be completed. Communication and completion is definitely not their strength. The work that is completed looks good but 7 months is clearly more than 4-6 weeks they assured us it will be. Don't always believe the charming salesman and construction crew when it comes to timelines and finishing the project we started paying on months ago. If you do not mind waiting for 7 months and counting for your pool to completed, this is the company for you. If you want your pool completed in a timely manner, I would suggest going with another pool company. read more

Wejust celebrated our second summer with our blue Haven pool. we have had the best experience wirh these guys, they're truly the best. right in the middle of our construction my husband fell and broke his hip and was in recovery for almost a month. the BH team was awesome, they kept in touch with me every day and sent pictures to keep in the loop. They even met me at the hospital with pebble samples. we got estimates from several pool companies and there some that were less expensive but what they lacked, in our opinion, was experience and most of all customer service. we never felt like just a number to them, they really do treat you like family. the BH team is so respectful in how they handle your property, never left a mess behind and finished up with leaving everything so tidy. this was an investment we made in our retirement and our family an I'm so grateful to BH for making it all happen. Reid and his amazing team don't forget you once the job is completed either. Reid showed up at our house at 7 am on a Saturday to replace the software with an update on our pump equipment just because he didn't want us to do without. I NEVER do reviews and this was long but a pool is a big investment and we want y'all to pick the best like we did!! If I were trapped and in the gates of hell and Blue Haven Pools was selling keys...I still would not do business with them. I would have an easier time getting a two year old to eat Tabasco covered broccoli than I would getting Blue Haven Pools to finish their work. This company is in my opinion, incapable of completing a high end pool project. One can only speculate as to why the work is not complete after a year and a half. There is either a lack of concern or competency. My first email to their corporate office basically told me to deal with the local project manager. My second email to the corporate office went unanswered. After workers this week didn't show up as scheduled, I visited the office on Camp Bowie yesterday to find out what the status was, and was treated to Michael Greene blaming everyone from the former employees, his sub contractors, the corporate office and even me! When I expressed my frustration that after a year and a half I still can't use my cabaña he started yelling at me so loudly that another employee came out from the back to see what the commotion was about. I just wanted straight answers and for someone to do their job and finish what I've paid for! I asked about lounge chairs that were part of my contract and never delivered, and was told point blank to, "call the corporate office" and that "it wasn't their problem". Let's take a little trip through time: Started project 12/2/2019 This is the status as of today (6/10/2021) more than a year and a half since they broke ground: The pool still leaks! No resolution in sight. No drain cover for the bottom of the pool. The spa light doesn't work. Fire bowls dropped off and sat on the patio for months then installed off center then grouted against manufacturer's instructions and left non functional for months. As of today, still left unassembled and non functional. Ice chest installed with no drain. If an ice chest drain were installed, you would not be able to open the trash can which is installed directly below it. Refrigerator installed with no electricity. Still doesn't work. BBQ Grill installed with no gas! Bottom step to patio stairs removed to install a drain line. Still not replaced. Damaged paving stones not replaced. Missing paving stones left completely uninstalled (basically holes in the decking) There is a large hole in the decking directly in front of the non functional BBQ grill. Wall completed without specified lighting or planters. Cabaña ceiling not completed. Cabaña posts not completed. Cabaña stone work not completed. Decking does not drain properly. Basically, Blue Haven Pools is a shell company with a guy that hires out everything so when they screw it up (and they do!), he can just throw up his hands, yell at YOU and try and shift the blame to anyone else. I tried to be patient but after 18 months it's obvious they either don't care, or don't know what they are doing. A canned corporate response to this review may try and blame former employees. They are also to blame, but the current team has been on the job since January and I still don't have a functional cabaña, working fire bowls, lights for my wall, or a pool that doesn't leak. So, it's the current local team and corporate leadership at Blue Haven Pools that is also the problem. Don't be fooled by canned replies. Let's see you step up and fix this BHP! read more

I regret hiring Blue Haven Fort Worth to build our pool everyday. When I look out at our pool, it's just a reminder of the thousands of dollars of unfulfilled contractual obligations on their part. Simply stated, we didn't get what we paid for. The quality of the pool and items that were actually performed seem adequate. But let's face it, these were items done by sub-contractors who actually care about the quality and performance of their work. Their livelihoods depend on it. I've read the other reviews about the significant delays, which are factual, and we experienced the same. But I'm pretty patient and understanding, and I knew that the new management team was up against it when they arrived. So I was more than patient and understanding throughout the process. But that's actually not the worst of it. Beyond the obvious issues with extreme delays (which, again, I completely understood given their situation back then), it became more evident over time that the owner Michael was cutting corners and frankly not being upfront with me. He told me mid-project when I had some questions about the terms on our contract that it didn't really matter what my contract said, and that what it showed in their job breakdown system as to what I actually paid for is all that really mattered. Really? My signed contract doesn't really matter? Well, I have a copy of what I paid for by task too (from their system), and to date, there is still in excess of $3000 of equipment and/or services not performed or provided by Blue Haven with no indication whatsoever that these items will ever be addressed or credited back. Whenever I requested additional items or changes throughout the pool build (sod, actuators, more decking), there was no hesitation from Blue Haven to whip out a contract amendment form and collect my additional money. But when there were contractual items to their detriment, they were silent and sat on their hands. That's lack of integrity. That's bad business. Speaking of silence, I've never encountered a more unresponsive business entity in my life. Once they have your money, good luck getting a response from them on legitimate questions regarding your project. I paid $1,995 to have my backyard sprinkler system re-routed after the backyard was torn up during the pool dig. This re-routing was never done. Now my sprinkler system is completely unusable. I paid $295 for an automatic water leveling system, later to be told by Michael it was illegal to operate in our municipality. They installed it anyway and charged me for it. I paid $500 for the 20-foot span of wood fence on the side of my house to be repaired/replaced (access for sub-contractors). During construction, the side fence was damaged significantly. Blue Haven just put in a replacement wooden fence post and re-attached the tattered old fence sections with several slats damaged and/or missing. Our HOA violated us so I replaced it myself. I paid $100 for two volleyball sleeves that were never installed. I paid $430 for a Zodiac Fusion In Ground mineralizer system. Michael chose to install the cheaper inline version instead which retails for around $130 (no credit provided). I paid $50 for downspout connections from rain gutters that were never installed, not to mention they ripped off one of my downspouts during construction that I had to replace myself. To date, I still don't have the proper pool controlling capability that I paid for. I paid for the ability to control basic pool functions remotely, from my phone. Apparently, a controller that provides this functionality is "on backorder", but I'm 100% confident I will never hear anything further about this or get any update/follow-up from Blue Haven. The circuit breaker on my current lower end stop-gap controller keeps popping and then my pool stops running. Not ideal for the freezing temperatures during winter. For months I've requested that Blue Haven troubleshoot this electrical problem, but they just ignore me. read more

If you are considering a pool, please don't waste your time considering this company. Very poor service, non responsive, and lack of follow through. Our pool was completed in July and since completion we have had standing water in our backyard. The area near the pump has literally turned into a swamp. DO NOT use Blue Haven Pools Ft.Worth. We started our pool building process started in February 2020 and was still not completed by the end of June. We had to call them to see when they were coming out to do the next step along the inter way. It would be weeks before we would see or hear from them again. There was no walk through to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We are still missing parts of to our pool. We paid to have volleyball net sleeves put in that we never got. We still don't have pad/controller to change the control functions on the pool. Our pool has very bad scaling that they we were told would be fixed. At the end of June - first of July the our pool filled up with mud and Hydro mulch because of the poor design of the pool wall that did not protect our pool. They came out five days latter. Pat told us there should have been a drain put in that would have helped prevent most of the flooding. Pat then starts to put in the drain and gives my 11yr old $5 to dig the trench for the drain and leaves to not show up again..... So we dig it out and put it in ourselves. We had to rent a pump to vacuum out all the mud, rock and mulch from the flooding. And then treat the pool several times before we could get it cleared up. Our pool was unusable for weeks plus my husband had to take a day off work so that we could work on it. We had to have the mastic completely removed and redone . The new decking has caused our existing porch/decking to crack, and all they did to fix it was pour mastic over it in a few places. The coping along our pool wall had to have pieces re-grouted and reset because they were coming off. They didn't clean up after fixing the grout and cracked rock pieces. The pool had a very large leak and they had to bust through our decking to fix the leak . It took them over two weeks to come out and fix the leak. In the meantime we had to try to keep the pool full so that it would not ruin the plaster and keep the pool circulating. We would fill the pool only for it to flood the yard. We had a very high water bill because of the loss of water. It's been 6 weeks and they still haven't fixed the hole in the decking . We are still calling and we have been told they will be here in the next day or two and they never show up. There are so many things that have gone wrong with pool build I cant even began to list them all. Our pool is only three month old. read more

My pool was finished in September of 2022 by BlueHaven pool and spas in Texas. It was started in June of 2022. The finished product is alright. I have a very small pool 12x25 and the installation didn't go without problems but they responded quickly when problems arose. There was some property damage by the contractors and they were deliberately messy. One crew member urinated on my property. Water bottles left behind and some days their lunch trash was left as well. My fence was damaged in three places however they did attempt to put a bandage on it. The drainage system isn't the best and I have to hire someone still to fix that. The pump is a mystery. I had 2 different pool guys and neither one can figure out how to get the debris out of the pump. They give you a short verbal explanation of how to deal with the pump and filter but nothing in writing to refer back to. I had to request the manual for pump and filter but it's not at all helpful. During the freeze in February 2023 the power went out in my home thus the pump shut off and upon restoration of power it fried the keypad therefore I couldn't turn the pump back on after which I read this is a common problem with the Hayward OmniLogic system they use. They responded within 7 days and got it fixed so no green pool thankfully. I have yet to use my pool due to the weather but I'm looking forward to it soon. Overall the experience produced a pool which was the goal. read more

She said she would call him and never offered to call me back. I waited until 1:30 pm no one showed. Here it is 5:00 still no call.
