The staff, from the pro shop, to the office staff, to the restaurant and to the bar, I would give them 5+ stars. I have played the course many times with members, and it is well kept and challanging at times. The practice facilities are excellent also. Driving range, chipping, sand and putting are all available. My wife and I have been there for lunches, dinner events and happy hours many, many times. So, for such a nice place and wonderful people, they deserve more than the mediocre ratings posted. Keep up the great work St Andrews S!

I'm hoping management sees this review and takes to heart the feelings as we do enjoy coming here but that feeling is starting to fade. Today it took well over an hour to receive two salads, one burger, one quesadilla and a few cups of chili, as well your clubhouse restaurant did not have any hot sauce condiments. It does not feel the staff working the clubhouse has any care or concern for the members or coworkers.

The cart has just been returned and they did a quick turnover on it. I loaded up my cart. It was pretty basic- no gps, but newer seats so it was comfy. I paired up with a couple old guys who had already played the back 9. We had a fun round and they helped me make a plan for each hole. The course itself is ok. A lot of dirt and weeds. Greens are good and tee boxes are fine but fairways are seeing some wear and tear. For the price, it's a good deal. But I'd rather play a nicer course. I believe it was $32. I would definitely come back to play in the evening as there are few places open late but there are other options that are better.

Had a completely disappointing experience recently which involved the owner of "Your Golf Shop", a…read moregentleman named Jeff Webster.. my son was just in town, and while golfing we noticed that his driver head was cracked, so after the round I called "Mike" at the Port Charlotte location, as he's been my guy for years there, and personally fitted my son for his Mizuno 243's, and me for my Callaway ai Smoke HL irons (4-SW).. and Mike told me that they couldn't do anything, as it was well outside of warranty, but suggested that I contact PING personally, as in his words, "sometimes they will work with you", so I did.. and after speaking with PING's customer service people, THEY made the decision to replace my sons G410 Plus, with a brand new driver free of charge.. I never asked for anything free, and simply wanted either repair options through them, or fair trade in value towards a new one.. I was in fact blown away by what they chose to do, as was my son.. Well apparently PING's decision to replace the club outside of the warranty period didn't sit well with the owner of "Your Golf Shop", as when I called him for a tracking number for my sons driver to reference with PING, who claimed to have not received it yet, he unloaded on me with all of his opinions related to this case.. I'd add that none of his opinions were informed, or asked for in this particular instance to be quite honest, as his only role in this as an authorized PING retailer was to initiate the club swap by shipping it back, and opening the repair case with PING, which direct consumers apparently cannot do, so they directed me to go to the golf shop.. but those facts didn't stop Jeff from weighing in with his own baseless version of what he obviously convinced himself had happened, and telling me essentially all about myself, as in his mind I was "gaming the system", and unworthy of such a gesture from PING.. He even accused my son and I of altering the club, claiming that the shaft in it didn't belong to that particular model, which again is nowhere near true, and another of Jeff Webster's many fictions, as my son was fitted for it by PING at a demo day in New Jersey at my home golf club, Battleground CC.. his club definitely didn't have a stock shaft, as he requires x-stiff, and the PING club fitter shafted it for him that day.. so not only did Jeff think we were somehow scamming PING out of a new driver, who once again made the decision to replace this driver themselves after I asked for repair options, or fair trade in value, but he also basically called us liars with regards to how the club is currently equipped, versus how Jeff believes it to have been originally equipped.. but in his mind.. I plan to speak with PING today to let them know what the FedEx tracking number is on what Jeff sent to PING, albeit quite begrudgingly, and will also see if they can ship the new club directly to me rather than to his golf shop, as this once loyal customer hopes to never have to set foot in either of Jeff's shops again, which is a shame, because his guy Mike in the Port Charlotte store is the guy you want to see if you're in the area and in need of clubs.. Absolutely ridiculous behavior for anyone in business, least of all an owner, specifically for a transaction where he stood to lose absolutely nothing until he continued to run his mouth and eventually lost a customer.. and a paying one at that, as he was able to quickly quote exactly what I had spent in his shop, so this guy is clearly reckless, as he knows that I spend money, but he couldn't care less when his feelings are involved.. In my most recent conversation with him he actually play acted using a crying voice, insinuating that I called PING and cried, but believe me, he came to the first call I made to his shop looking for tracking information loaded for bear, so clearly this had been eating at Jeff for well over a week.. It's a challenging course because it's narrow and the greens are small. It's in pretty good condition. It's by no means long. Even I can play from the back tees, which I don't typically. Service at the club is great. They have a water and ice station in the cart garage. Bathroom on the course was ok. Only took my driver out one for one hole. Course is well marked through the neighborhood. It's a great course to dial in your irons.

Each lady received a plate containing quiche and a toasted flat bread with sun dried tomatoes on top. Finger sandwiches included egg salad, cucumber with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Two types of scones were also available served with clotted cream and/or jelly. To top off a beautifully done meal, small serving towers of dessert, from white or dark chocolate covered strawberries to miniature pastries and petit fours. The club is private most of the time to our homeowners and guests, but is available for special private events. We've hosted ladies groups, wedding receptions and other events. I highly recommend the club for your special needs.

Whether you're eating in the River Club (or by the pool) or talking to one of the fitness trainers, you can tell everyone there loves their job and is happy to work there and help you out. The place and houses themselves are not only beautiful, but it's eco-friendly too. The entire club was build in conjunction with the Audubon Society and is a preservation, so there is a large walking trail through the woods and animals (cranes, alligators) living on the grounds! The amenities are spectacular as well: tennis courts, full gym, the walking trail, a full lap pool, regular pool (with water aerobics every morning), hot tub, poolside bar, golf course (you must be a member to play though, I think)... I could go on and on!! If you know someone who lives here, visit! If you're thinking of buying yourself, you won't be sorry!

All three are gorgeous and well maintained. I was genuinely shocked to show up at 5:30pm and be able to get 15 holes in before dark. There was no one in front of me!!! I stopped by again the next day to play, around 5pm, and I was able to finish 18. This time, I ran into a kids lesson- so the instructor said to skip two holes ahead and come back and finish at the end. I also ran into a group of 2 but they hustled when they saw me coming. The twilight price is $57 and change, which to me, is nothing, but compared to courses nearby, I can see why people don't come here. They can play for $35 or even $26 at other courses. However, you get what you pay for. This course is really great. Lots of nature. Challenging. Water stations and clean bathrooms throughout. On the earlier night, the shop had a rack of sale items outside. I wanted to take a closer look but didn't- wanted to start playing. Maybe one day I'll go back and buy something. Ladies stuff looked nice. They have a chipping, putting, and driving range near the club. Carts are comfortable , no GPS. Courses are easy to navigate with signs on where to enter and exit the fairways. I like this idea- keeps the course nice. I found a lot of lost balls while playing, especially in the water. Homes line some of the holes and I got some applause while playing haha. I would recommend this course but then again, I don't want this secret getting out. I hope this place stays empty cuz I like playing fast!
