Had a completely disappointing experience recently which involved the owner of "Your Golf Shop", a gentleman named Jeff Webster.. my son was just in town, and while golfing we noticed that his driver head was cracked, so after the round I called "Mike" at the Port Charlotte location, as he's been my guy for years there, and personally fitted my son for his Mizuno 243's, and me for my Callaway ai Smoke HL irons (4-SW).. and Mike told me that they couldn't do anything, as it was well outside of warranty, but suggested that I contact PING personally, as in his words, "sometimes they will work with you", so I did.. and after speaking with PING's customer service people, THEY made the decision to replace my sons G410 Plus, with a brand new driver free of charge.. I never asked for anything free, and simply wanted either repair options through them, or fair trade in value towards a new one.. I was in fact blown away by what they chose to do, as was my son.. Well apparently PING's decision to replace the club outside of the warranty period didn't sit well with the owner of "Your Golf Shop", as when I called him for a tracking number for my sons driver to reference with PING, who claimed to have not received it yet, he unloaded on me with all of his opinions related to this case.. I'd add that none of his opinions were informed, or asked for in this particular instance to be quite honest, as his only role in this as an authorized PING retailer was to initiate the club swap by shipping it back, and opening the repair case with PING, which direct consumers apparently cannot do, so they directed me to go to the golf shop.. but those facts didn't stop Jeff from weighing in with his own baseless version of what he obviously convinced himself had happened, and telling me essentially all about myself, as in his mind I was "gaming the system", and unworthy of such a gesture from PING.. He even accused my son and I of altering the club, claiming that the shaft in it didn't belong to that particular model, which again is nowhere near true, and another of Jeff Webster's many fictions, as my son was fitted for it by PING at a demo day in New Jersey at my home golf club, Battleground CC.. his club definitely didn't have a stock shaft, as he requires x-stiff, and the PING club fitter shafted it for him that day.. so not only did Jeff think we were somehow scamming PING out of a new driver, who once again made the decision to replace this driver themselves after I asked for repair options, or fair trade in value, but he also basically called us liars with regards to how the club is currently equipped, versus how Jeff believes it to have been originally equipped.. but in his mind.. I plan to speak with PING today to let them know what the FedEx tracking number is on what Jeff sent to PING, albeit quite begrudgingly, and will also see if they can ship the new club directly to me rather than to his golf shop, as this once loyal customer hopes to never have to set foot in either of Jeff's shops again, which is a shame, because his guy Mike in the Port Charlotte store is the guy you want to see if you're in the area and in need of clubs.. Absolutely ridiculous behavior for anyone in business, least of all an owner, specifically for a transaction where he stood to lose absolutely nothing until he continued to run his mouth and eventually lost a customer.. and a paying one at that, as he was able to quickly quote exactly what I had spent in his shop, so this guy is clearly reckless, as he knows that I spend money, but he couldn't care less when his feelings are involved.. In my most recent conversation with him he actually play acted using a crying voice, insinuating that I called PING and cried, but believe me, he came to the first call I made to his shop looking for tracking information loaded for bear, so clearly this had been eating at Jeff for well over a week.. Looking for a Cart Bag with only a few dividers for golf clubs. Tried numerous bags, all with numerous dividers...none truly matched my interest, but purchased anyways (my mistake). Tried to return the bags and was told my purchase was not returnable. Asked about ordering a bag from a major supplier and was told they don't like to order from that supplier...numerous reasons given. Finally ordered a bag, that I now use..and truly love it! Don't know why we didn't order right away. Certainly can't recommend this retailer; however store personnel in Venice store were very helpful and friendly. Store owner not personable, nor friendly...hard to understand how the stores are still in business. Hope he treats his regular customers better than I was treated! read more

I went to this store to buy a new pair of women's golf sandals. I was the only woman in the store with about 3 other male customers. The woman clerk asked each male customer if she could help them, but walked by me 2 or 3 times without even an acknowledgement. One time I was even trying on a pair of sandals from the wall display. I was fully prepared to spend at least $100.00 on a pair of sandals, but decided it would not be from this store! I will find a store that values female customers as much as males. read more

Review is for Your golf shop 2 in Venice, Florida. (I have not been to the Punta Gorda store.) Dominick made all the difference in helping me select a club to fill in a gap in my bag. He was patient, super helpful but also gave me space to think, allowed me to use the driving cove without any pressure and did the smart thing= he showed me 5 clubs that would suit the purpose and his choice of the five. I tried all five and picked one based on the hit-ability in the little range. He was helping 4 people at once but amazingly still patiently and promptly answered any questions I had and was warm and polite. They had much more inventory of ladies golf clubs than the other store I went to. We determined I need a senior flex instead of ladies and with my new Calloway X 4H I had my personal new low score. I will be sure to return to this store again as my first choice. Note: like at the car dealer or such, women do get looked past in golf stores and that happened to me in another store, but ABSOLUTELY was given full attention, looked in the eye and regarded as a very valued customer at Your Golf Shop 2. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted with a sincere Hello. I brought in a set of clubs to be regripped and figured I would have to leave them and come back the next day. They were able to regrip the clubs while I waited. The entire staff was friendly to me and other customers as I browsed the store while my clubs were being regripped. I joined their Customer Rewards program and saved a few bucks. I highly recommend this shop. read more

I had 5 irons regripped. It only took 10 minutes and labor cost was one dollar per club. I was so happy with the service, I checked out their club selection and bought a set of Adams Idea clubs. Before I bought the set, they took the time to measure my club speed. They also had me hit a number of balls with the clubs I was planning to buy. Shopping all over SWF for new clubs, until we stopped here. Mike the manager is professional, courteous, and knowledgeable with the products he sells. He was helpful in my selection adding helpful golf tips with my swing and more. It's hard to find this kind of service which blows away the little attention from the national mega stores or the Internet.
