I contacted Jim on April 27, 2026, to install a Level 2 EV charger, and the agreement included obtaining all required permits. We scheduled the installation, but no one showed up. When I called, I received an apology and was told the price would be adjusted. Because I had already paid Jim a deposit, I reviewed my bank statements and discovered I had been overcharged by $300. Jim acknowledged the mistake and repeatedly assured me I would receive a refund. Then, about a month later, I found out the required permits had never been pulled. As a result, the City of Port St. Lucie fined me $150, and I had to spend another $50 to have documents notarized to resolve the issue. It ultimately took two months and multiple notices from the city before the permits were finally obtained and the job was completed. Jim even came to my home, apologized in person, and once again promised I would receive my refund. Unfortunately, that promise was never kept. I also contacted his assistant and emailed Jim several times, but my requests went unanswered. In the end, I'm out $500 because of the overcharge and the additional costs caused by the company's failure to obtain the required permits. Mistakes can happen, but what matters is how a business handles them. In my experience, this company failed to follow through on its commitments, failed to communicate effectively, and failed to make things right. I cannot recommend them and will never use their services again.

I had a few questions which were responded to again via email. Bee Electric had a service person at my home early Wednesday morning. I could not have asked for quicker service and a more cordial technician. We discussed the problem in detail and after a bit of troubleshooting, the technician determined the problem immediately. It seem I had two defective GFI breakers that needed to be replaced which was done within an hour of arrival. The technician could not have been more professional and direct to the point. It is tough to be comfortable with looking for technical services when you are new to the area and do not have people you know to call upon for recommendations.
