This is a beginner's range that is not run as a place for experienced shooters. Regardless of experience or certifications held, expect to be spoken to and treated as someone who has no experience with firearms. That is all fine and well if you have no experience, but expect a high degree of foolishness and condescension from the egotistical young "experts" if you do have experience. I felt a need to do some shooting and Blue Line is where I did it. I was pleased with the digital target machines that take it out and back with the push of an electronic button. Simple and easy. And the bay had just enough room for me to put my range back down with the pistol, ammo and magazines. The range area was quite clean and tidy. Air ventilation was top notch. There were two other people shooting when I arrived and wow, it was loud. I do most of my shooting outdoors and I hadn't really noticed how bad it was here. There is some baffling on the walls,but not enough. Reasonable selection of pistols for sale and quite a few accessories, too. read more

This range has a nice setup and is good for general target shooting to 25 yards. The staff is great. A previous post was critical of the "young" staff that was overbearing. One of the young staff was a USMC PMI (Primary Marksmanship Instructor)--they know how to train. As a former Marine expert rifleman with combat experience, I was at first a little annoyed. However, inexperienced shooters can be dangerous and need to be watched closely. My impression is you need to earn their trust first--once they feel comfortable that you are competent, they will relax. As a regular shooter there, I appreciate that they are watching and assisting new shooters so I can relax and not feel like I have to watch my back for fear of a dangerous situation. (Note: The range has been purchase by Palmetto State Armory. I am hoping the staff stays on. ) read more

I was a member here from their opening until my job made me move. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that can serve the beginner to expert. Clean and safe automated lanes with excellent ventilation. They also have a well stocked store with guns to rent or purchase at fair prices. Best place in the area for shooting. The daily fee is high but not compared to other less equipped facilities in the southeast. If you plan to shoot often the yearly membership will pay back quickly. read more

Have been shooting at Blue Line several times with my wife, we are both retired law enforcement. In the past we were charged by the lane, imagine our surprise when we were charged $40.00 to shoot for an hour, with both using one lane. Then when we inquired about a law enforcement discount, we were told they didn't do that anymore, for military either. It's a nice facility, but, with somewhere called Blue Line, you'd think they would be a little more supportive of law enforcement. With their prices, it's obvious they don't have any competition. read more

Blue Line offers a great concealed weapons permit training class once per month. There is a large staff of range safety officers who are on site regularly. The range is clean, safe, and includes a good size "pro shop", selling pistols & rifles, ammo, equipment, holsters, and so forth. The range fee may be high but they are literally the only game in town, and the membership fee is worthwhile if you are a regular shooter. read more

It's a nice place, so one star will do. I didn't like the fact that when me and my husband went in, having to get his gear to start working at a police station, and they told us they had to see proof that he is working at a police station otherwise they'd refuse to sell anything. I didn't know it was a private place. I didn't see anything on the doors saying it was only for cops.... So we got the stuff. But I will not return. read more

Been here several times. Very helpful, friendly staff. Modern range and lanes always open. Have taken novice friends here from Japan, Germany, UK, & Netherlands who never held a handgun before and they loved it. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Glad they lowered the price to $10 an hour so will take friends more often. Got a year membership for myself. ammo prices are high which is normal for a range. Would be glad to buy my ammo here if price was closer to what's available on web. Bought a Glock 42 here at a fair price. read more

My 1st time at Blue Line in July was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and VERY nice. The shooting range was second to none and lots of merchandise to choose from on the sales floor. I can't wait to go back...... Rick read more
