I'm a student athlete in town for vacation and have a very specific workout regime that I must…read morestick to. As there are very limited amount of gyms in the area, I decided to drop into Anytime Fitness. I got there at 11am (opening time with staff) and Chris greeted me. I explained my predicament about training for my sport and how I was only there for a week. We had a pleasant conversation, as Chris was very personable and told me about his son doing track and field at the local college. He did inform me about the $10/day drop in fee. I was more than willing to oblige, however Chris' friendliness and empathy led me to learning about the seven day trial pass. He was able to set me up with it. Overall, I had fantastic workouts! Although the workout facilities are on the smaller side compared to other gyms I've attended, it was not too crowded on the days I went. I was able to get my workouts done pretty smoothly and along the way, met some members who were really nice. I can tell it's a tight knit community and the friendly environment gives me a sense of comfort while working out. I can't THANK Chris enough for the hook up! This type of customer service is unmatched! My family has a house on the island and if I end up living up here for several months/years I will definitely be investing in a membership for all my workout needs.

I was really not impressed…read more I signed up for a week long guest pass as did my Mom. When we came in the woman staffing the club acted like we were knocking on her door trying to sell her something. I said I was there on a guest pass and her attitude was basically "ok we'll go do something then". I asked if I needed to fill something out or if she needed to see something from me. She looked at me like I was bothering her and stupid. She finally said she had a tour to give. She didn't offer for us to come along. She finally said we could wait for her if we wanted. I just asked if we could try out the club and she basically said "yeah whatever". So we poked around and saw the gym ourselves. We did a quick workout and in that whole time the woman never came over and checked in or had we caught her at an odd time, apologized. I have never felt so unwelcome. As for the facility itself, it's very small. There were only 4 people in there and I had to wait for someone in order to get on a machine. There are just cubbies and no lockers or locker room. I didn't feel safe having my things out in the open. On the upside it was clean. First impressions go along way. I won't be back.

During labor, we did what we practiced and the mother later reported that this was the most helpful tool for managing the intensity. When a complication arose in labor, there was not a lot of time and several fast decisions had to be made. Having Nancy there as a trusted resource made all the difference. All it took were a few adamant nods of approval from Nancy to help me feel like the right decisions were being made. This helped avoid critical time delays since I normally would have wanted to spend more time to understand what was going on in more depth before making any decisions.
