Andy and Dan are just absolutely incredible. I messaged them a week before our big Bat Mitzvah event January 2026, after my father was suddenly admitted to the hospital. We did not want my Dad to miss the event, and we were referred to this production company by our DJ and hired them to film the full day. What we received in terms of service and product was just beyond spectacular. These guys are incredible professionals and I felt so taken care of the entire 13+ hour day. By far, this was the highlight vendor experience of the day. I only wish I had found them sooner for all of our other big events! Big thank you to Andy and Dan for being consummate professionals!! Blue Productions does terrific work, but be prepared for taking 6 months or longer to receive your DVD. It is written in the fine print on the contract. Even though most other providers take 4 to 6 weeks, Andy requires 6 months for delivery. When I asked about this, Andy said they were busy. It really should not take 6 months to produce a Bar Mitzvah video. He did produce a 5 minute quick capture for me so my mother could see it before she passed away, which I appreciated. The feedback from other professional video companies I have worked with all agree that 6 months is way too long for a personal DVD production. Our professionally produced videos are always done in a month or less. Andy needs to properly resource his company to deliver in more reasonable times. His prices are reasonable and comparable to other companies. He was very good to work with during the event, has a great personality and is familiar with Bar Mitzvah settings. So if you're looking for quality, Andy does great work. But be prepared to take a extremely long time before you get the final delivery. Ask yourself if you are willing to atleast 6 months after the event to receive the DVD. read more

We put Andy on our short list of videographers after watching the sample reels on his website. His shots are fresh and creative without being overly clever. He has a great eye for composition and color. His editing is tight and crisp. He seems to have a knack for 'getting' the personality of each couple, and his own style never gets in the way. He won our business the instant we met him. He's the nicest guy you could meet. Our wedding day had its hiccups, and Andy took everything in stride. A week before the wedding, we had to change the start time of the ceremony, and he gave us some extra time for free. On the day itself, our officiant was an hour late (he arrived 5 minutes AFTER the ceremony was supposed to start), and Andy was able to get him mic'd up in a few seconds flat as soon as he arrived. He even helped pin flowers on a couple of my groomsmen, when we were a bit frantic. At one point during the reception, our photographer was out of the room capturing some closeups of our rings, and we were about to start the toasts. Andy made sure the DJ and the speakers waited while he ran out to fetch the her. Through all these things and lots more, he was nothing short of professional and just a lot of fun to work with. Andy, although he was booked our weekend was able to provide a great service. When my mother and I met up with him he was nice, friendly and showed great, clear work. He had a lot of great equipment and we actually ran into him at the Legion of Honor on our wedding day! I really enjoyed my videographer, James. I feel he caught alot of great things - and when my time was up and I asked him to stay longer, he didn't bail on me. So we were able to get our surprise singing performance, as well as a private rendition of "My Little Pony." Also, during a break - and we needed a break - James was so kind and observant to ask me if I wanted something from Starbucks. I almost fell down in thinking - what? for me? I mean, really? Dude, he totally read me and brought me a mocha. I am touched by his kindness and although I'm sure he's captured some great memories on our wedding day, he made one too. Andy and his crew were very friendly and professional. During our selection phase, we particularly liked the flow of how they summarized other people's wedding. Caveat emptor "Buyer beware" Andy, advertises his video company at our Synagogue, and trades his services on the fact that he is a member and should be trusted. Unfortunately for us, this was not the case. Our Barmitzva was small, and not as long as most, but I was still paying the same amount of money. To begin with Andy was busy that day and arranged for another person to cover for him. Then he unprofessionally asked me not to mention to the videographer what I was paying for the service. I can only guess that this man was being paid a smaller fee for fewer hours, even though Andy did not reduce the cost to us. Next I informed him that both grandfathers, who lived overseas were ill, and this video would be the most important thing for them to be able to see their grandson being Barmitzva'd. I asked for his help in pulling this DVD together as fast as possible, but each time I contacted him he was always busy with other jobs. Reading reviews on Yelp I see this is a common theme...although none as long as the nearly 2 years we had to wait... In the end one of the Grandfathers died without seeing his only grandson complete his Barmitzva. I emailed Andy to inform him, and enquire exactly how much longer I would need to wait. He informed me curtly, that he would prepare it the following week. This he did, and sent me a very badly cut, (with main pieces missing), sound blurred along with hissing noises throughout, and finally, to add insult, packed in flimsy cracked cases. There was no intro and no ending, and had obviously been put together with complete disregard by a disgruntled Andy who was, as always, busy. To say I am disappointed, after investing well over $2000 for a video that was to be our only memory of that day, is true, but worse is the fact that my son's Zaidie, who managed to live through the Holocaust....never got to see it. read more

We had already booked the Opera House for our reception and were thankful to be able to meet a number of the Opera House's preferred vendors during the event. I haven't cried that much...since our wedding! Andy found the best moments of our wedding and managed to -with surgical precision - attach it to the perfect music in our highlight reel. He also managed to condense 4 hours into one that truly conveyed the sentiment of the evening. A consummate professional...unbelievably talented. I'd never thought much about a highlight reel until I was introduced to Andy, and now I cannot imagine NOT having it. We've watched it over and over, and we JUST received it! Recently, I received my son's bar mitzvah videos from Andy. First came the 7 minute highlight video. I was so excited to receive it that I played it through my car's bluetooth on the commute home the day I received it! While I couldn't watch it while driving, I was able to listen to the audio. It made me cry happy tears, again! The memories came rushing back and I couldn't wait to get home to show the family! They too were excited about it!!! Then a couple of weeks later I received the whole video....Throughout the process of planning & budgeting for the bar mitzvah I often wondered whether we really needed to invest in the video, especially since we had a photographer booked.
