Scheduled an appointment for my two Bernese Mountain Dogs and the day finally arrived. My one Berner doesn't really like going into new places but when we arrived the two groomers came out and greeted them with open arms. Can you say Great Hospitality YES! After them taking them they went into the salon with no problem. My two ladies left Blue Pooch happy and very stress free. As I have taken them to other groomers and they are rushing to get out the door not here. This will be there new found grooming home. The owners are aggressive in communication and they are extremely expensive. Unfortunately my groomer was excellent and my dog will miss her. The groomer was the only reason I continued going there. Maybe this business needs to correct their phone issues before threatening a year long loyal customer. I do not have a block on my phone. Exceptional grooming provided by Stephanie at Blue Pooch. My shiba Inu is 11 year old and is generally afraid of new environment. It's also her first professional groom appointment as well since I rescued her from a puppy mill when she was 10yo. Due to covid, I just bathed her at home myself since then. Being pawrent of an adopted scared dog, I am a little overly protective of her LOL Stephanie came out to greet us and Haru took liking to her right away. She was gentle to Haru while double checking what services I'd want done. Checking in process was quick and professional. On the phone, I was quoted $55-$75 for a full groom dependent on the weight that Haru comes in as. Haru is around 31lbs and on the bigger size shiba so I expected she'd be on the more expensive range of the quote. She got nails trimmed, full groom, her back legs hair belly hair and under her paw hair tidied up, and de shedding treatment .. and even got a bow to bring home to show her dad. All was $90. Haru smelled great, was super happy and curious at the spa. She showed no sign of stress when I arrived to pick her up and I knew she was treated with so much kindness and love there. Sweet at first, but if there is any issue, both staff and the owner are extremely rude. They talk to you like you are dirt and hang up. I never wrote a negative review for any business, ever! But the rudeness with which I was treated today was extraordinary and I felt that everyone who is considering this business should be forewarned. I would highly recommend blue Pooch Grooming. All of the staff is amazing and so friendly. I tried other groomers that are closer to me and I just don't like the way they cut my Bernedoodle or they service they provide. I get compliments everywhere I go with my dog. They do such a great job and I love that they aren't locked in a kennel the whole time they are there. They get to roam around and play with the other dogs. We have a very quirky, anxious Shih Poo who can be difficult to groom, and is not happy in the car. However, he perks right up when we pull up at Blue Pooch. Caitlin is patient, gentle and kind. Cooper looks and smells great, and I know that he has enjoyed his experience. I appreciate that he is allowed to mingle with the other clients while he waits, as he gets stressed if the process is rushed. It's a convenient location, staffed with warm and friendly animal lovers. The price is very fair considering the effort and care that goes into grooming our dog (sometimes involving a second set of hands). We are very fortunate to have found Blue Pooch! read more

I can give credit where due: they'll do a great job of making your pooch look and smell nice. Fabulous job. But, I would caution customers to get a full breakdown of anticipated charges in advance so they're not surprised at the checkout counter. I was charged a $15 matted fur fee which brought the total to $103 at checkout. The last time I was here, I think I paid about 70 bucks. I have an extra small dog. I might expect to pay $103 for the convenience of having someone come to my home, but even that would be a stretch. Furthermore, it's not like I presented them with Bob Marley in canine form, either; my dog had three or four small areas that were tangled on her chest which the owner tried to convince me took time away from other dogs because extra special care was needed. The groomer commented on the matted areas when I dropped off my pup but she never mentioned there would be a matted fur fee, and no such fee is mentioned on the brochure. It was not revealed until the owner sprang it on me at checkout. It's not so much the fee, per se, it's the principle: be upfront and transparent. You shouldn't have to resort to such unscrupulous tactics to run a business. Update in response to owner: She's trying to depict me as a negligent owner; again, these were three or four small areas of matting. In every negative review she pushes it off on the reviewer like they're the ones responsible for her misstep. She can't take ownership of any criticism. They have a sign outside the door mandating masks, but she wasn't wearing a mask herself when I came in. I wasn't going to comment on that, but since she's being snarky and trying to make me look bad, I'm mentioning that now. Also, when I picked up my dog there was a lot of loose hair coming off on my shirt. I expect a clean dog when I dropped her off after $100 haircut, not a mess rubbing off on me. Again, they didn't tell me there would be a fee for matted fur. Even if it was too early to tell what that fee would be, they failed to say that there would be one, period. This is nothing less than sheisty unprofessional tactics commensurate with what you'd get from a dealership mechanic. read more

I can't say enough about their patients, care and fantastic grooming services too. Max just loves going there, knows when we're getting within a mile and then drags me rushing up the block to get inside. He gets as many hugs & kisses as he receives then comes out happy, tired and looking handsome (ok and spoiled too). WARNING - Based on my experience bringing my show quality dog to a groomer for the past 10 years, this place is a rip off and not to be trusted in my opinion. The groomer did a good job on my dog, but the owners (mother and daughter) are greedy and find ways to gouge their customers whenever they can. Every time you bring your dog there, it's different price. One time is was $85, then $90. Today is was $110 for a 12 lb. dog and it's basically the same cut every time. This is a true example of a business taking advantage of current inflation. Today their credit card machine was conveniently not working - all day - and customers were required to pay cash. Of course, this saves them on the merchant credit card fee and the other advantages of only taking cash. Also, they now charge $25 if you don't cancel within 24 hours. I had a family emergency one day and called first thing in the morning as I had to go out of town. They said nothing about charging me and hit me with the charge when I took my dog there four weeks later. They claim that they can charge whatever they want because "so many groomers in the area have gone out of business." In short, they're saying- "good luck finding another groomer." Well, I for one am taking my business elsewhere. I was taking my dog there every four to five weeks. At $120/groom with tip, my business will cost them @ $1,500. I find Blue Pooch Grooming to be unethical and the whole experience unsavory. Also, I'll be reporting them to the authorities as they let dogs wander around the floor of the store as they have no place to put them. Aside from obvious safety risks, my dog is not fixed as she's a show quality dog and also very docile, so yet another concern. read more

Do not use this grooming salon. I asked for a cut for my 8 month old maltipoo and they shaved her (even her ears) to where she is unrecognizable. I spoke to Catlyn (prior to groom) and despite my direction she still shaved my dog!!!! Beware of this grooming salon - Terrible!!! read more

When Bailey had some inflammatory issues around her nails and nose, Caitlin and the team at Blue Pooch were the first to spot it and this allowed me to get the right care for Bailey. They were patient with her during nail trims as her inflammatory condition would make the area around her paws sensitive. They are gentle and genuinely caring for Bailey and even more patient with me! They also maintain a small but tidy facility and have been more than accommodating with my schedule during the weekends! I was looking for a local groomer for my almost 6 month old goldendoodle puppy and Blue Pooch was the first result, and also recommended by our vet. This place gets five stars in every category. He is, first of all, insanely cute. Fantastic job cutting, cleaning, and shaping. More important than that, I really value the communication with our groomer, Jo. As he is our first ever puppy, she walked me through and explained all the processes and helped me explain what I wanted his cute to look like. She gave me a call in the middle of the groom to check in about how I wanted her to proceed, and gave some really helpful recommendations about post-neuter grooming after I explained that we're planning on doing the jumpsuit rather than the cone after surgery. But really, it's the little things here that showed they care about my dog. When they asked if we wanted his cut nails filed down (an additional and worthwhile $10), I said sure, if he's not giving you too much trouble. When I went to pick him up, she explained that he was a little nervous at first, but then another groomer came over to give him some love and pets and it totally distracted him. Absolutely loved hearing that not only did Jo care about his well being, but that the shop overall worked together to make sure he was in a good spot. On top of it, he made puppy friends! I was so happy to see him roaming around with the other pups when I went to pick him up. We will happily be returning every 6-8 weeks to keep him fresh and clean. I can't say I know what other groomers in the area charge, but I was certainly expecting to pay more than I did, so I consider that a great value. read more

Any concerned business owner would have called a disgruntled client themselves to make sure that the story was properly communicated, apologize for the experience and also mow importantly ,to check on the pet in question relating to the information I provided you in my last review. Considering that you never once asked about how my dog is after the grooming experience, I apologize for any misunderstanding or miscommunication as a business owner, or any possible way of making it right. Instead, at the end of your response, you basically didn't want to address the things that were more important to me like my dog's health. Shame on you. It's obvious to me the only thing that you're concerned about is how much money you apparently claim you quoted me. Let me be clear, I was never quoted a cost when I originally scheduled my Collie to be groomed. There was never an assessment or additional cost reviewed. Considering I was a new client, you did not do your due diligence in regards to requesting the weight of my dog, instead you assumed it was "standard". That's proper business protocol for any pet groomer. And the thing that you don't assume any responsibility for at all, is the fact that I never received a call to tell me what any of the additional charges were so that they could be approved. read more
