They came out and gave me a quote. When I confirmed some items "May not" have been done, (due to Communication between personnel), they confirmed it was not done and returned to complete the work. I would want to mention the group I spoke with, but the person who gave the quote, the scheduler and roofer were all great to work with! (And I can't remember the roofers name!! But he was great! The Owner, Steve made a thorough presentation of the roofing process with detailed explanations of materials used. He is very knowledgeable and professional. He gave me advice on shingle color choices to compliment my brick color, because I had no clue. Steve encouraged my questions, making sure that I had no concerns or questions about the process. I called Blue Ribbon when I discovered wet sheet rock in the ceiling of one of our rooms. The person they sent out identified the problem as a faulty rubber boot at the top of a pvc pipe extending through the roof above that room. A few days later the repair was done. (About 10 minutes of work for more than $500!) Some time after that it rained again and we still had a leak. Turns out they replaced the rubber boot on the wrong pvc pipe. When I brought this to the owners attention, no one would ever admit that a mistake was made. Instead, they said that the boot they replaced needed to be done anyway and that the real problem was a roof vent and that it would cost an additional $840. I insisted that they first come and replace the boot at the top of the correct pipe and that they eat the cost of it. They finally did after an additional 3 weeks and now there is no leak. read more

In shopping for a new home owner's insurance policy, it was brought to our attention that our home was way overdue for a new roof and there was some unnoticed wind damage. The first contractor that we contacted actually bent back several shingles and then photographed the damaged shingles and called it wind damage. This could have created a problem with our insurance company as it created the appearance of an effort to falsify a claim. Then we called Blue Ribbon Roofing for a second opinion. That was the best move we could have made. We dealt directly with the owner of the company. He shot straight with us from the very beginning and helped us explain to the insurance company what the first contractor had attempted to do. He met with their adjuster and was able to get our legitimate damages and a code upgrade on our decking covered by insurance. Our new roof is the biggest improvement that we have made on our home in the 8 years that we have owned it and we clearly went with the best company for the job. They used superior materials compared to what other companies install and they did the demo of the roof and the decking and replaced it all in a single 11 hour day. I think very few people enjoy dealing with home repairs. I spent a lot of time doing research to choose a company that would do the best job for us. Blue ribbon did just that. They replaced our roof for a reasonable fee. We got several estimates this one was definitely in the middle but with the cost breakdown I definitely think it was fair. We just had our roof replaced with Blue Ribbon Roofing from Jersey Village and seeing all of the neighbors asking for roofer recommendations I needed to share our experience. It's rare that I have a contractor showing such care, customer focus, and attention to quality. From the initial contact and quote to the last truck leaving they were the height of professionalism. Their very high BBB and Yelp ratings are well earned. They knocked our project out in only 1-1/2 days (88 squares), replacing all turnstiles with ridge vents plus all drip edges and boots, and it looks fantastic. Upgraded quality shingles... no contractor grade stuff. They had protection hanging from the soffit that protected all landscaping and I haven't found a single nail nor bit of trash left behind. One seemingly minor example... their truck pulling the disposal trailer was parked on my driveway and one rear wheel was slightly on the grass - they had a piece of plywood placed under the tire so as not to damage the grass. They seem to be a family oriented and tight team and their output shows it. I would heartily recommend their company. read more

We just got our roof done. I was very happy we chose this roofing company. Martin is wonderful to work with. He helped us get our claim with our insurance company for the hail damage. He was there at every step of the process, including making sure our gutters, window flashing were all put in properly in addition to the fantastic new roof! Needed a new roof ASAP after a storm. Called several roofers and these guys came out quickly to give an estimate. They immediately wanted to see the insurance quote. I had been warned about this. Told them I didn't know where it was. They then said they would have to measure and it would be a few days before they could do it. Right before they left I came up with the insurance papers. They did not look at measurements but went right to the last page and said...Oh yeah we can do it for this exact amount. Sorry dudes, but the other estimates from well-known companies were almost $8000 less...and without insurance papers to look at. We just got our roof replaced by Blue Ribbon Roofing and we could not be more pleased with the results. Kevin Haack and his men did an amazing job and now our house looks up to date and beautiful. They were also able to replace the plastic roofing on our pergola over our deck included in the cost of the roof on the house. Furthermore, not only did they repair our roof, but there was wood rot that needed to be fixed but the insurance would not cover. BRR replaced the damage for free! We were also able to get a discount because I am a teacher and for allowing one of their signs on front lawn. After the workers left, they cleaned up around the outside of the house making sure to pick up any old roof scraps and nails. Thank you for the amazing job!
