All the goatsies are so sweet and friendly, and the actual yoga is somehow at a level that's appropriate for beginners as well as those more familiar with yoga. That in and of itself is a pretty amazing feat! All my friends are very jealous - and I can't wait to come back out in the spring to do yoga outside as well. Because it's winter, we had our yoga session in the barn, which was very nice and cozy and decorated with twinkly lights and not even very cold. I mean, who even notices the cold when there are GOATSIES?? Not us. Oh, and we got a hard cider tasting afterwards as well. And everyone was so friendly! Seriously, best thing ever. The world just seems a better place - if even for a brief time - when you're doing yoga with goats.

The kids go into a groups of 2-3 and takes turn going to sectioned areas to play with the trained pups. I was afraid that my daughter with eczema would have a scratching fit from the dogs, but they were all well-groomed and no odor at all. All the toys I touched didn't feel grimy and old. I can tell they take good care of this facility. A big plus is it's air conditioned and plenty of seats for the adults! Lots of times at kids' parties, the parents have to find odd things to sit on or stand, which is not a problem here. If you are looking to throw a birthday party, this is your place!

Over the years, I continue to be impressed with Missy's enthusiasm for what she does. She just loves teaching people about dog behavior, and it shows in every class. Also, she is incredibly helpful with any questions one might have about a dog. She asks questions, makes a thoughtful suggestion, and then follows up the next week with a "how did that work out?" Other classes we have tried left us feeling unsatisfied as the trainers didn't have the level of commitment and enthusiasm that a good teacher needs. Another thing is that, during class, Missy will notice something I am doing and bring it to my attention. It is amazing what a difference changing a simple behavior on the owner's part can make in the dog's. I have no hesitation in recommending Missy for any class, from puppy kindergarten to advanced training.

Naturally, my husband and I are to blame for his behavioral indiscretions, and coke habit. It all started when we let him sit at the dining table with us--for the record, he's always eaten from his dog bowl on the floor, and we never shared our food with him. It's really not that ridiculous; it's not like we let him sleep in our bed. At any rate, a post-breakfast sobre-mesa was immortalized in my yelp photo. But when he snapped at his best dog friend, we realized that maybe his haughtiness was getting out of hand. It seemed that other dogs were a painful reminder that he too did not have opposable thumbs. You hate those who are most similar to you. A couple years earlier we had taken a group obedience class with Sharon at K9s Only. She was great with Watson and all the other dogs. She understands the psychology of dogs and humans, and yeah, we're basically the same. Not to mention she runs a rescue/adoption and therapy dog program, so she's an all-around good person. When I saw she had her own business I was excited to enlist her help for dear Watson. Her free consultation was an eye-opening lesson in itself. She acknowledged that Watson had down the basic obedience, but that our boundaries were a little murky. I was comfortable moving forward with the four private lessons she suggested. After the consultation, she emailed me a detailed synopsis of our meeting, our concerns, and what we need to do to ensure that Watson is happy and comfortable when face to face with other dogs. She gave us several exercises to practice (after every lesson she'd do this so you don't have to worry about taking notes during the session). Probably the most essential thing we learned was that he should work for our affection. It's all about making sure he knows we're in charge and that he actually listens to us because when he does good things happen. That will also make him feel safe and protected, not like he has to protect us. One suggestion that helped immensely was telling him to go to his bed. Whenever we cooked, Watson would stand beside us waiting for that bruised piece of bell pepper, carrot or apple, sometimes a nice piece of gouda or goat cheese, a crumble of tuna. He always sat and waited for it, so we thought he was minding his manners, and deserved the treat. But now, whenever he's in the kitchen or any time he's a little too close for comfort (licking my legs), we tell him, "go to your bed." These four words have become our "Nam myoho renge kyo." Watson will now chill out and wait for us to give him a snack or love or whatever it is he wants--usually food related. Friends and family have noticed a huge difference in Watson. He's calmer and definitely listens to us more, and when we say leave it, for the most part, he does--dogs included. We have Sharon to thank for that. Watson is still very Sherlockian, he's just more controlled, and happier as a result.

I adopted them when they are 4 months old and notice that they do scare of people as well as some other dogs. They are really protective of the house and no one can come close to our gate, except our family members and a number of friend. Interestingly, when they are outside, they are very scared and hardly want to take a walk. Though I tried to train them by myself and took them to obedient classes in Thailand, it didn't work. I think the problem is I do not know for sure what the problems are, nor hoe to solve them correctly. In addition, I was coming to live with my boyfriend who also has a dog. After I got here we started to look for a dog trainer, finally, our employee met a client of Sharon, and said we should call and consult with her. The impression has started right at the first call, a lady who really listen to your problems and is willing to do the first free consultation at home. I remembered the very first day when she met Mocha and Latte, she asked us to let the dogs out to see her. My two dogs were trying to charge at her and jumped up and down. Sharon, explain their reaction and ways to improve them and what are our expectations. The way she works, is not teaching your dog, rather giving you the knowledge and let you do the work itself. Of course, I am their owner, I have to control them. I find this very beneficial, because I am not only be able to help my own dogs, but suggest it to friends. In every session, Sharon would start by asking for the things happened during the week and she would take down notes and explaining why did it happen and how to solve. Right after the class, you get an email of all the how-to-do lists that you have just discussed plus the new exercise for them. After 4th session, my dogs behave themselves better and they stop barking at Sharon plus they get along with my boyfriend's dog. Towards the end of the 8th session, I can tell them not to eat anything I drop on the floor or treats that I do not allow them. I mean, my dogs have been giving lots of problem and Sharon did helped us get through and make them better dogs. Not to mention the crate resistant that one of my dog had, he would literally have us wait for an hour dragging in, pushing in, tricking him inside. Sharon was devoting her time waiting and fixing him. Believe it or not, today I can have him in the crate just in a matter of second! There are a lot more to talk of what my dogs have been improved after training with Sharon. We are still in the training program which now focusing on taking them to the outside world. We are glad, we have met Sharon. She is a very nice, sweet and patient person and on top of that a PROFESSIONAL. I do believe that she has a right potential to train any dogs, after experiencing it myself. Our little brats are doing better day by day and we are soon to reach our goal. The hike is almost 2 miles and for our group it took about an hour. Keep in mind this was with many delays. Let me delve into why I ranked this experience only 2 stars. The cost for the hike ended up being $60.00/pp after tax. I understand that the majority of this money is basically a donation and not for the experience but even then I would not have paid this much. There was about 10 goats who came on the hike along with 3 dogs. Now the problem is 2 of the goats they took on the hike, Luna and Oreo. They put red collars on these goats to indicate they are not friendly or that you shouldn't pet them. Oreo had a bell on his collar but Luna did not. The point of the bell is so you can hear the goat coming. Our guide Megan told us to generally stay away from Oreo and Luna since they weren't as friendly as the other goats. Additionally, they gave us ski poles to utilize during the hike to be used as a boundary between you and the goat. Oreo and Luna disregarded the ski poles all together. We gave them so much space and were actively avoiding them, didn't provoke them at all. Out of our group of 9 girls, 3 of us were attacked/headbutted by Luna or Oreo, including me. Oreo headbutted one of the girls so hard she fell to the ground. Not to mention once we got back from the hike we realized we were actually bruised red/black/blue from where the goats hit us with their horns. The problem was that Oreo and Luna have like an alpha problem where they don't get along. So if Luna is at the front of the line, Oreo doesn't want to be up there and vice versa. We asked Megan multiple times if she was able to slow down because Oreo would be in the middle of the pack, and after getting attacked, we were afraid to go around him. She reiterated that she couldn't come back to get him because if she double-backed then all the goats would follow her which would delay the hike. But the fact we couldn't go around Oreo delayed the hike. I just wish that they only brough one of the problematic goats and not both as it really delayed the hike and soured the experience. Or, have 2 guides instead of 1 which could handle both goats. Not to mention at the end of the hike you can pick out stickers of your favorite goat/dog. But if you get headbutted you get a special sticker to commemorate it. That means they are actively acknowledging the problem since they spent money on a custom sticker they give out to the lucky winners. I understand we signed a waiver but you never expect to be attacked. We all now have PTSD from bell noises. Honestly, if they didn't bring Oreo or Luna I think we would have had a great time on this hike.

I decided to book it for a one night stay for mine and my husband's anniversary. This place is available to be booked on Airbnb with only two different options A tree house (closes in October and opens again sometime in the spring) or a Yurt (open year round) We felt the Yurt offered a little more comfort since I never Glamped before so that is what we went with. From the moment we arrived the goats were waiting at the gate for us and followed us to our Yurt. I suggest packing lightly because you are given a cart to bring all your stuff up and it's a small hike uphill. The yurt comes with purified water from a well, warm blankets, firewood for both the indoor and out door fire place, Complimentary smores, cooking tools and utensils, food to feed the goats and roosters, electricity that works for about 2-3 hours, an outdoor shower and an outhouse. There is no TV but I wound up getting great service out there on my phone. Before heading to the farm you place your food order beforehand online (menu is available on Airbnb) We went for the picnic basket and the Chili for dinner. These men use the freshest ingredients and I swear my husband and I are still talking about how fantastic the Chili and chocolate chip cookies were. BYOB when it comes to wine and beer. Check in is at 4pm and you have about 2-3 hours with the goats by your yurt before they leave for the evening to go to bed, but don't worry! They come back in the morning as you enjoy your complimentary farm breakfast and coffee delivered directly to your yurt. We had so much fun playing with and feeding the goats. It was overall an amazing night and I cannot wait to return again in the future.

The staff were super friendly and so were the animals. You reserve a timeslot in advance and get an hour of "goat cuddles" and you can walk with a whole herd of goats through the woods on trail, leading them with a food pail! If you don't want to walk, you can stay in the fenced area by the firepit where they also host goat yoga! We did not get to do yoga, but I guess the goats will climb on your back and hang out with you while you stretch! On our walk, we saw goats jump on trampolines and climb up into their tree house! This was all in all such a wholesome and fun experience. Great for families, couples, or even a friend outing. There are some other animals near the entrance but goats are the main deal here. I know from following them on social media that they do goat cuddle events as well. The baby goats are so cute!! I definitely can't recommend this place enough!
