Blue Ridge Family Physicians is absolutely one of the best doctor's offices in Kansas City. Dr. Killen has been my physician for nearly 15 years. He is absolutely and undoubtedly a huge asset to this facility. He has been my PCP for nearly 15 years and someone one can trust and rely on. The staff in this office is kind, compassionate and attentive to your needs. Shaunna and Brenda are responsive, quick to reply to your needs and without a doubt, excellent resources to answer questions / concerns / respond to your needs. It is such a comfort to know that one can rely on them to respond appropriately and timely. Being a long-term patient of Dr. Killen has proven to be an excellent choice, without a doubt. He is a kind man who listens to his patients, hears their needs and responds appropriately. I trust no one else with my healthcare needs more than him. Appointments with Dr. Killen prove to be a relaxed experience where one can absolutely address any health need and/or address new concerns without filter. I have moved out of state and getting my medical records has been a complete nightmare. I was first asked to pay $25 for the release of my records to a hospital in my new city. That seems absurd, but fine. 1 month later and they still never show. Contact them again and have to pay an additional $25 for copying fees, which was neglected to be provided. Not only all of this, but getting a hold of someone has been an extreme challenge and they forget to mention things on the phone like release of information paperwork, etc. It's been over 2 months since I've tried to get my medical records transfered and still no luck. read more

Scheduling staff is great but the doctors, Mehhh! I've been to this location three times and the last time, was literally the last time. I went in with high fever, body aches and overall ickiness only to be told by the doc there was nothing she could do for me. My best bet was to go home, get plenty of rest and drink lots of fluids. REALLY? Rest and fluids, when you're sick (insert sarchastic surprised tone) Whoudda thunk it. I long for the good ole days when you were feeling crappy the doctors wrote you a script for some good medicine that would knock you out SO you could get some rest and begin to feel better. In this particular instance I seriously had to refrain from asking for my co-pay back. Needless to say, the last time was literally the last time! read more

As a followup to my previous message - it's now been 3 months since the symptoms started. We NEVER did get a call scheduling the CAT Scan. We gave up. Made an appointment with a Neurology group. They took him in the following day - have scheduled an MRI, CAT scan as well as other tests because they indicated he has bleeding from the brain. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I have had several problems with this clinic and Dr. Lounce 1. Could not get staff to return phone calls 2. Offoice staff lost the lab results I brought to them from another clinic 3. Dr. Lounce was not concerned with my need to obtain a clearance from him so I could have knee replacement surgery. 4. Dr. Lounce left the examining room in the middle of his exam and never returned. DO NOT GO HERE. This is the most unfriendly place and trying to get any results from these people is impossible. I had my yearly check up about 5 months ago and got a scrip for premarin I've been taking for years. Now all of a sudden I can't get a refill because they say they already authorized it but the pharmacy says no. I said I want it from mail order pharmacy and they said NO. they said I need to come back in again if I want a refill which is b.s. because they hassled me last time that I came in for another pap test too soon I NEED A REFILL AND MY DOCTORS OFFICE BASICALLY TELLS ME TOUGH LUCK. I am SO THROUGH WITH THESE PEOPLE. read more
