Dr Waldman and team are wonderful - I wish I would have come to them first when I fractured my foot two years ago!

Dr Waldman has taken great care of my feet for almost 6 years. More importantly,he taught me how…read moreto care for my feet. I have a unique challenge with my feet is the former professional dancer, and Dr. Waldman was the first podiatrist who actually understood the problem. He worked with me to find a solution. He believes that patients are their own best witnesses when it comes to their experience of their own health. For that reason, he listens carefully to determine what support the patient needs, while addressing the medical needs he determines. It is the way medicine should be practiced! In addition, his office staff are all lovely to work with. I never wait more than a few minutes in the office, and I always feel like I'm getting special treatment. But the thing is, I'm not being treated any different than anyone else. Dr. Waldman and his staff go out of their way to make patients feel as comfortable as they can, and make getting their feet cared for as simple as possible.

It was the day after Christmas and everyone's schedule seem to be pretty full. There were plenty of wheelchairs available out front of this "walk-in" orthopedic care center. I was wheeled into a fairly busy waiting room and was greeted with a pleasant smile. Cherie brought me back 45 minutes later, which I didn't feel was too long due to the number of people already waiting before me. The attending physician Ryan was able to consult my x-rays from Mission and explained to me where the fracture occurred, and how long I would need to remain in the hard boot. I scheduled my follow up appointment two weeks later with him. Considering the circumstances and the holidays, I felt this walk-in clinic did its job very well.

Post surgery after 3 nights in hospital: Specifically…read moreregarding Dr. Christopher Lindsay and the other doctors and nurses in the OR prep and the OR. I do not advise going home day after surgery. The pain is even harder to manage the first week after surgery than before which had been impossible. They can use medication in the hospital that will not go home with you, and it took that to keep me from crying out in pain. After 3 days, I went home and still took pain medicine before it was time for another dose. My pain simply didn't follow the 4 hour time frame. I followed all directions except taking another does occasionally prior to 4 hours. Sometime before my 2 week check up, I was finally pain free after decades of chronic pain. I don't think that is necessarily totally normal, but it is a welcome change. The worst part of postoperative pain was hip, above knees, and top front groin area of my thighs. That pain was horrible and really hard to manage, so to have relief is incredible to me. I'm extremely grateful. The entire surgical staff at Advent were amazing They knew I was already in extreme pain when I arrived. The made me feel safe and like I mattered. I would definitely choose Dr. Christopher and all of the other doctors who took care of me and kept me calm.
