The regular nurse really cares about my situation and has helped advocate for doctors to get things done when I'm not being listened to. I have not been restricted to my home and unable to leave as I was with the other agency, and this group does not care if I continue to see my regular physicians. The group has understood that I needed to work, which results in some late hours, but they have also been flexible enough to let me meet up with a friend from out of town that I do not get to see very often. When you are sick, little things like going out with friends or being able to work make a huge difference in mental health. I am always able to reach the nurse who comes to my home when there is an issue, and she has come to my house a few times that she wasn't scheduled because the bandages leaked or came apart. I think, most importantly, the company listens to me and follows orders from the doctor. I have needed their services 3 times since November 2011, and chosen to go back to Actual Care each time. I have also recommended them to the doctor's offices and will continue to do so.

While I might be on the younger side (34, runner) I was struggling with long term sciatic symptoms as well as lower back and hamstring pain. When my injury self-management was no longer working I was referred to Loudoun PT. I can genuinely say the people that I worked with cared about me as both a patient and person. Matt Smith and Chelsea Lucas listened to my concerns and created an exercise progression that helped me improve. I went from being borderline unable to work because of back pain, to running twice a week in the space of twelve weeks. It's incredible what compassionate and knowledgable physical therapists and a committed patient can accomplish when they work together. While my full recovery will necessitate more independent work, I feel like Matt and Chelsea have set me up to meet my health and lifestyle goals with a home program. I do believe that PT can work for most people if they are willing to commit to it. It is a far better option than surgery or simply accepting chronic pain. I know that the good people at Loudoun PT will be there for me if I experience any major setbacks. Getting to see their staff work with other patients was often very heartwarming. We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at Fairfax Pediatric Therapy since early January…read more He is almost 9 and has always struggled with his "s," "sh," and "ch" sounds - but we waited to see if he would grow out of it (he didn't). On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. My son has been attending speech therapy for about a month now, and he has made more progress with his speech problems in the past month than he has in the two years prior, while attending a county speech program. My sons areas of concern are a phonological disorder, language disorder, and motor planning issues/borderline childhood apraxia. Pooja and Katie are outstanding...they are extremely knowledgeable, passionate about what they do, and are extremely gifted with kids.
