I purchased a set of hearing aids from this business, and the left hearing aid stopped working. I went in early June to try to get it repaired. I was told to bring it in after June 30. Today I called to set up a regular hearing test. The earliest appointment was August 25. Once again I asked about getting my left device repaired and was told that would have to wait until August. My husband was seen by a PA (Ambrosia Santana). He was experiencing nose bleeds (not profuse), due extreme dry air here in Loudoun County VA. He went in for a minor cauterization. She had great bedside manner and took care of him rapidly. He paid a $40 copay in office. Then were were surprised with a $110 additional balance as a SURGERY COPAY! So the visit's total copay was $150. Which they collected in two separate payments. For a minor cauterization!? Ridiculous. Also they use a third party billing service (Privia) that is confusing. Privia has continued to send us texts and bills after we mailed a check directly to the doctor's office. We even called to confirm the check had been received and our account was at zero. Unbelievable inconvenience to not be able to call the office directly to resolve such a quick question. How we wish we could still see Dr. Michael Mellis ENT, but he no longer does cauterizations and only deals with pediatric patients now. read more

Unfortunately, this practice is a waste of time, literally... Kathryn Racke, AuD comes highly recommended as a first rate audiologist, but I can not comment on her expertise or manner. I never had the opportunity to see her. This despite the fact that I had an appointment that was made weeks or months in advance, I confirmed and checked in for the appointment online, I again checked in at the office desk upon my arrival (15 or 20 min early), and presented both my insurance card and ID. Being a new patient, and considering the waiting room was fairly full, I concluded that my long wait was due to some sort of delay in seeing patients with earlier appointments. However, an hour after my scheduled appointment, when the waiting room emptied and new arrivals were called ahead of me, I inquired at the desk to see how long the wait would be. It was then that I was informed of the "glitch". The "glitch" was that I had apparently disappeared completely. After my scheduled appointment, two separate check ins, ID and insurance card, no one was aware I was there and waiting to see Dr. Racke. Clearly, their technology is inferior, their office systems and processes are lacking and the administrative staff is inattentive at best. To be fair, the office administrator did apologize and offer to re-schedule, but the date and time offered were not acceptable to me, and the new appointment was presented in a seemingly "take it or leave it" manner. I left it. After wasting 1.5 hours of my life I saw no reason to risk the wasting of more. I didn't get to see Dr. Racke. If you have the time, and are willing to take a chance, perhaps you will have better luck. read more

I suffered from chronic sinus infections for over ten years with multiple treatments and medications. I saw an ENT who missed the issues and just added more medications. I decided to switch ENTs to Dr. Silvia's office. I met with Ambrosia Santana for my initial consultation. She immediately diagnosed the issues and recommended surgery. I scheduled surgery for six months later with Dr. Silva. I was a bit concerned about the wait for surgical intervention, but IT WAS WORTH IT. I had five procedures - turbinate reduction, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), nasal cryoablation, septoplasty, and reinforcement of the walls of the nostril. While the recovery was not pleasant at all, I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Silva and his colleagues. I did not have any bruising and seven months post surgery, I am doing great. Before surgery, I was on at least six allergy medications and was suffering from sinus infections at least six times a year. I have not had an infection since surgery and I am off of ALL allergy medications. Thank you, Dr. Silva and Ambrosia for listening, acknowledging my concerns, and treating the underlying causes for my medical issues. I cannot recommend them enough and they are worth the wait! read more

Had a wonderful and professional experience bringing my 1-month-old here recently. She had failed her auditory test while we were going through the battery of tests leaving the hospital after delivery and we needed a follow-up to check her hearing out. Not only was Dr. David Alexander extremely thorough in explaining what he was going to do and why the State of Virginia requires these tests, but he also walked us through it all and was able to knock it out quickly and painlessly (and we have no hearing issues!). Dr. David was awesome and I noticed he even had a First Army patch on the wall, which is a plus for us. As a veteran family, we love working with fellow veterans, "First in Deed!" We will be going back if we have any ENT questions or concerns going forward. read more

My daughter has had 5 ear surgeries over the years starting at 9 months. Today she is having Medtronic Septoplasty with ear tubes. Dr. Silva has been her ENT doctor since we moved to Virginia. Great doctor, however the staff and overall customer service at this practice receives a F----- in customer retention. I was charged $50 because I could not bring my child into the office during one of the big snow storms we had in the DC area a few yrs back. There are plenty of great doctors who are not trying to squeeze every dollar out of your pocket. I have since found a great doctor who cares about my children's needs rather then ensuring I pay for each minute I spend there. Very disappointed with this Practice!!! I would not recommend it to anyone. read more
