At the follow up exam they look dup his nose and removed packing material and charged us the same price as the surgery cost, no one from the office ever told us it was an additional charge. At his next follow up appointment about 1 month later, my son had a sinus infection, which was the whole reason he told us we needed to do the surgery. His practice is a joke and I've lost respect for him as a professional. There are other great ENT's in the area!

I suffered from chronic sinus infections for over ten years with multiple treatments and…read moremedications. I saw an ENT who missed the issues and just added more medications. I decided to switch ENTs to Dr. Silvia's office. I met with Ambrosia Santana for my initial consultation. She immediately diagnosed the issues and recommended surgery. I scheduled surgery for six months later with Dr. Silva. I was a bit concerned about the wait for surgical intervention, but IT WAS WORTH IT. I had five procedures - turbinate reduction, functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), nasal cryoablation, septoplasty, and reinforcement of the walls of the nostril. While the recovery was not pleasant at all, I am incredibly grateful for Dr. Silva and his colleagues. I did not have any bruising and seven months post surgery, I am doing great. Before surgery, I was on at least six allergy medications and was suffering from sinus infections at least six times a year. I have not had an infection since surgery and I am off of ALL allergy medications. Thank you, Dr. Silva and Ambrosia for listening, acknowledging my concerns, and treating the underlying causes for my medical issues. I cannot recommend them enough and they are worth the wait!

She had great bedside manner and took care of him rapidly. He paid a $40 copay in office. Then were were surprised with a $110 additional balance as a SURGERY COPAY! So the visit's total copay was $150. Which they collected in two separate payments. For a minor cauterization!? Ridiculous. Also they use a third party billing service (Privia) that is confusing. Privia has continued to send us texts and bills after we mailed a check directly to the doctor's office. We even called to confirm the check had been received and our account was at zero. Unbelievable inconvenience to not be able to call the office directly to resolve such a quick question. How we wish we could still see Dr. Michael Mellis ENT, but he no longer does cauterizations and only deals with pediatric patients now.

Extremely disappointing experience…read more After being a patient there for six months, I unexpectedly received a bill. I have no issue paying for services rendered, but I would have appreciated receiving statements along the way instead of one large bill at the end. When I requested a detailed bill so I could submit it to my insurance company, I was told the office does not handle billing directly and that I needed to call an 1-866 number. I left at least ten voicemails. Each time, I was told someone would return my call within two days. I never received a single callback. I then went back to the office in person to request a detailed charge history. I was told I needed to speak with the office manager. After leaving her several messages with no response, I returned again and was told she was in a conference call. On my most recent visit, when I tried to speak with her directly, she refused and shut the door to avoid the conversation. This is a facility I trusted with my medical care. The complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism has left me feeling extremely disappointed and disrespected. I will not be returning and would strongly advise others to proceed with caution.
