We visited during the Veterans day weekend. My husband has been really interested in camping but…read moreI'm not a fan of roughing it.. So I booked one of the small cabins here. We showed up at night and it was so dark when we rolled in. The moment you pull in there are rabbits EVERYWHERE. They should advertise that more because it is so unique! My only issue was that I was afraid we would accidentally hit one. Thankfully we got to the cabin without incident. We started bringing our bedding and necessities in to the cabin and noticed that one of the outlets was broken so we didn't want to use it just in case. The next morning we went into the office and let them know about the issue. They were surprised and really apologetic about it. Luckily there were other cabins available and we got moved into the one closest to the restrooms. So we switched locations and settled in. In the office you can purchase rabbit food so of course we did. As soon as these guys see that bag they will all hop there way straight for you. I had bunnies all over me. It was magical. I saved some of it for the rabbits hanging out with us at our campsite. That evening we had a wonderful little dinner by the fire with our bunny neighbors. We got a small refund that we didn't expect. I think because of the outlet issue. This is a great place to visit. We will be back.

This campground was fun! Sad we only got to stay one night…read more Highlights This campground has a river that runs through it and a beautiful waterfall. They also have a big heated pool, mini golf, a camp store, you can rent golf carts, and they also had a fishing pond with loads of fish. You were only allowed 3 fish each person. They also have tons of rabbits running all over the campground. You can go tubing in the river which less than a foot deep it seems. Downside: The sites are small and there's really no room to park your truck. They do have pull through sites and tent sites. The site we were on the electric kept going out which shouldn't have happened. They said they wouldn't get anyone out to fix it until the next day which we were leaving the very next day. It was a somewhat muggy night that we had to spend without air conditioning on. We made it work! The restroom/shower house needs to get updated, it was very dirty and out dated. The only thing that was a challenge was how to get to the campsite the road was skinny and hard to see people coming the opposite way. A recommendation I would call this campground "Bunny Falls". It would attract more campers there. If we are ever in the area we might try this campground again but ask for a bigger site. I was able to take some pictures. We were at site 83.

Briar Laine house is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We especially loved the spacious living room open into the kitchen. Perfect for a family gathering. And the game room is a fun space for all ages to enjoy with board games, cards and a foosball table. We really appreciated the extra touches like fresh towels and a welcome basket. Great location for exploring Luray, walking distance to restaurants and shops.

The campsite we stayed at was well priced for what we got. A back in site FHU w concrete pad and fire ring. The pool and playground area were close by. The pool area was a lot of fun with water elements for smaller children. We biked everywhere but this place is in the mountains and has a lot of elevation change. I would recommend getting a golf cart if you want to have the best experience. We biked and walked down to the river to float but it was a hard walk back. The entire campground was well laid out. The downsides were the bathrooms and inconsistent hours at the Fifth Wheel snack shack. The first night we arrived we wanted to get ice cream but they were closed. That's fine. The next day we asked what time they closed. We were told 7:30pm. We arrived at 5:15 pm and they were closed. The bathrooms were consistently not clean which was a shame. There are small two room bathhouses on the corners of certain lanes which a toilet, sink, and shower. I acknowledge that many people use the same facilities. I learned to bring my own toilet paper each time. However, the trash wasn't dumped, the showers were filthy, and there was sign that they are not well kept up. So much so that I didn't shower myself or my children in them (even with wearing crocs). We showered off in the pool area comfort station. The bathrooms in the welcome center are very nice and well maintained so when possible we used those bathrooms. Overall, we had a good time and would come back. I hope they are able to hire more staff to have consistent hours and cleaner bathrooms.

Cottages are cute and decently maintained, but cleaning staff does a crappy job. Expect that they…read moreonly wipe down the kitchen counter and fridge but leave all the crumbs behind in the cabinets, along with old food bits and gunk in the sink from the previous guests. Also cleaning staff will fail to refill the hand soap and shower dispensers before you check in, so plan to bring your own. Front desk said staff will come fill them and 10hrs later still nothing. During a follow up phone call, the high schooler working at the Welcome Center said that staff is just too busy to refill the soap, even after waiting patiently and without complaint for 7hrs. I felt that like was unreasonable. Facilities are cool, river floating is awesome, location is beautiful, but cleaning crew and front desk might suck.
