Where to begin? Well, to start on a positive note, the barn is gorgeous inside with all the lights. The food was absolutely amazing, and the caterer is the one you use with the all-inclusive package. If I could go back and do this all over again, I would probably use the venue, but never would purchase the all-inclusive package. That was the worst mistake. With that package, Elizabeth, the owner, is the day-of-coordinator, decorator, person-in-charge, etc. Based off my experience, I personally think she has her hands full and is unable to fulfill all the duties. Communication, or lack thereof, with her throughout the process should have been a direct indication for me of how this day was going to go. Being the day-of-coordinator, I would expect her to be there throughout the night. Even though she claims she was there whenever needed, and asked during the night if everything was going well, she left around 8PM. Be aware of how many servers and bartenders you have and for how many hours they will be there. We found out a week before the wedding that they would only be there for 4 hours and wouldn't be able to serve alcohol after, unless we paid for extra hours. I will say thank you to Elizabeth for asking a bartender (her son-in-law) to stay until 11PM. Otherwise, alcohol would have ended at 8PM. There was no water on the tables and there were supposed to be servers offering wine to guests at the tables. The servers and Elizabeth claim to have asked guests, and according to them, nobody wanted any wine when they asked. However, speaking with multiple people sitting at different tables, they were never offered wine. There needs to be more lights outside. Many guests could not see to get to there car without using their phone. My husband and I had to get a guest to walk with us to the honeymoon cabin so we could see. At least bathrooms were installed two weeks prior, even though they were supposed to be complete in March 2018. I worried about this throughout the entire planning phase, because it was extremely important to me. I went off the great reviews posted. However now I realize it was her sister, daughter and son-in-law that wrote those reviews. It would have been nice to read reviews that didn't have familial ties. I would not recommend working with Elizabeth Botts. Her services (day-of-coordinator, decorator, etc.) and servers are valued at $225, which is the amount she stated herself. Therefore, I guess you get what you pay for...
Response to Elizabeth: Again, I think the "day-of-coordinator" service you offer within the all-inclusive package is what's lacking. I don't think brides will have issues if they do the DIY package or hire their personal day-of-coordinator. read more
