It's a VERY unique event venue flanked by mammoth coal-fired boilers that were used in the original building. You can admire the elevator shaft to the right of the front door, or envision the unseen inside (but very visible outside) base of the Lucky Strike smokestack which The Boiler Room "horeshoes" around. When we left on Sunday (we had the place rented from Friday to Sunday), I cried because it was such a wonderful time and a beautiful place. All our friends could stay onsite and everyone enjoyed their time. It's such a lovely venue in rural Chapel Hill and bonus was at night fall Saturday night, we could see the shooting stars overhead.

While there is a ramp to the restroom, the path to it is over uneven grass and pebbles and relatively far from where the party is set up. The pebbles and uneven paths could be made accessible with simple wood decking. The main disappointment is that the facility bills itself as handicapped accessible but it isn't. There is a very real fall risk for handicapped people at this facility. 2. There are only 2 restrooms making for long lines for people of all abilities.

The farmhouse that you get ready in has a bridal suite upstairs with its own bathroom. The lighting in bridal suit is PERFECT!
