The Diaper Bank of North Carolina is located in Durham, NC. It is sort of like a food bank in a…read moresense but instead of food they partner with 18 agencies to provide diapers; feminine products and incontinence products to those with a need for them. They want each family to have access to basic necessities for better health; dignity and quality of life. Since 2013, they have distributed over 15 million diapers. I volunteered for a two hour shift at the diaper bank. You are in a warehouse that is not climate control but there are fans. We were provided instructions how to repackage the diapers and rewrap the new bundles in plastic wrap. In that 2 hour time frame, everyone there repackaged 19,500 diapers so that was impressive. If you are looking for an agency to volunteer or donate this one serves a good purpose.

He was extremely patient and answered all my questions thoroughly, and was very punctual with everything he did for us. We held our son's 1st bday celebration here and the space itself is clean and classy and the included black chairs and furniture with black linen, and the sound system, mic, and projector (didn't use) that were included put this place over the top. I was also promptly given back my security deposit as promised. Would recommend to everyone and will def look here first for future parties!

They also have a podium, projector and screen. Pretty versatile place from my first impression. I didn't set up the event so I can't speak on customer service or pricing. Also the parking lot seemed a little small but there may be more I am unaware of. It's across from Whole Foods/ Luna's Living Kitchen so the bus does run here.

Oh, all these sweet babies need homes!…read more I dropped by today to donate some needed towels and several boxes of cute gingerbread dog biscuits I found at Aldi. The young lady at the counter said to put them under the Christmas tree where I saw about a dozen different types of animal donations. Unfortunately my spouse is highly allergic to animals, but I love dogs so I just donate what I can from time to time. I asked if I could take a look at the dogs even tho we can't adopt. Not only was I told yes, but if I wanted cuddle time with any just let her know. Be still my heart! So I went back to the kennel area and the first dog greeted me with non stop barking. Well, that's a fine howdy do! Turns out all the kennels were full and this first dog was the only one making a racket. The rest were so eager and friendly with tails waging wildly and eyes that begged to be taken home. They really tugged at my heart strings and by the time I reached the last kennel my eyes were welling up. I knew cuddle time with any one of them would make me have a major eye leak so said my good byes to them and said their new homes and owners would be there soon. As I opened the door from the kennel area a young couple was making their way to it. I gave them a heads up on the loud one in the first kennel, but said the rest would be happy to see them. Fingers crossed they didn't go home without one of these sweet pups!

The Director, Jackie Craig is so friendly and welcoming along with the rest of the staff. Within 5 minutes in GCP you can tell how meaning this organization is to the community. Although I originally went in the GCP thinking it was a furniture store open to the public I left wanting to get involved. I am thrilled for the fundraising sale September 11th. The stuff they have lined up for it is ah-mazing!!!!
