We had two tall and large dying pine trees removed, stumps ground not just ground down but below the stump. The owner that gave me the quote is a Certified Arborist and he was here with his team to do the work with his own equipment vs rental. When I got the quote he took the time to notice tree health issues all the others missed which we already knew about and made great suggestions and offered several options beyond what we asked for that only someone with that experience would know and we had him do the incremental work at a very reasonable price. When they left, you would never know they were here other than the missing trees. The clincher was my wife who hired them was very particular and left after they were mid way to run some errands. Jose asked if she could return before he left to approve the work. I wasn't necessary but a nice touch. I had my wife return to see the finished work even though she was satisfied before.

I had contacted some other companies that didn't even respond to my phone calls (probably because it wasn't a $5000 job), so I was getting frustrated. Armando came & listened to what I wanted to accomplish. He made some constructive & helpful suggestions, but didn't try to up-sell me. He understood that I was working within a budget, and that my goal was to improve curb appeal, not to create some sort of fantasy-land in my yard. There were weather-related delays, but he kept in contact with me. He aerated and seeded our front & back yards, and pulled out 7 dead or dying bushes that had roots down to China -- all for a very reasonable cost. When the weather gets better, I will be calling him back to put in some new plantings, and to implement some of his ideas. No complaints at all.
