The roof of my apartment building had a huge leak, and last summer's series of storms in early July led to ceiling leaks/water damage in every area of my apartment! Black mold showed up on my ceilings after 3 days of nonstop downpours. (Water was coming out of the ceiling vent in my kitchen, the exhaust fan in my bathroom, and even a few light fixtures!) Management was no help at all ("that's what your renter's insurance is for"), so I called Blue Sky on a Friday afternoon to inquire about their mold remediation services. Jasen came Monday morning to test and contacted me as soon as he got the expedited results back (5 types of toxic mold!). (He was able to confirm right away that I had mold everywhere using his own testing methods, but having the independent lab results is important if you're filing an insurance claim.) He advised me to grab what I would need to stay with someone for a few days to protect my health and instructed me on how to sanitize what I took with me. He and his crew arrived a few days later to treat everything I owned (a 2+ day process), then sealed it all in totes and clear plastic bags to keep it protected until the movers arrived. They treated my belongings with care and packed everything thoughtfully so I could easily find what I needed once I started unpacking in my new home.
