My experiences here have been inconsistent. The first time I went, my nail technician was lovely, gentle with my gel pedicure. The second time I came, I almost cried because of how deeply the nail technician cut down on my big toe nail. Maybe she saved me from having an in grown toe nail, but I wished she would have warned me before cutting so deep. My toe was so inflamed the next day, that I was worried I had gotten an infection and could barely put any pressure on my foot. Not to mention that one of the chairs next to me had leaked a bunch of water onto the floor next to the handwashing station. Multiple clients, including me, let the technicians know so they could maybe put a caution sign up or mop it up. Neither of these things were done. And I accidentally stepped in the puddle twice :( luckily no one slipped. I have been super unimpressed with their manicure technique, granted I always go for the classic gel manicure, maybe they take more time and care with the more expensive manicure packages. Both times, it felt like they were rushing through the manicure in order to get the next person in their seat. My manicure only lasted two weeks before I peeled it off myself in the shower because the bottom of the manicure had been brushed on so sloppily that it was jagged and pulling on my hair when I combed through it with my fingers. Not only was the nail polish not applied anywhere near my cuticles, but i also noticed little air bubbles/specks the day after in my set. If you want a long lasting, quality gel manicure, do not come here. read more

Came is as a walk-in, the minute I walked in I was welcome by the gentleman up front, he asked me to check in and I did so, a few seconds after a nail tech tells me to have a seat in her seat, did not say hi did not speak one word to me. Not the nicest and not friendly at all, it was such an awkward moment sitting there in silent. I told her I needed my nails short as I can't have long nails for work, once she placed the nails and finished cutting them I told her if she can please cut them more, she huffed and puffed, yes she cut them a little bit but not as much as I needed her to, I than tell her they are still too long I need her to go shorter and there she goes again with the huffing, once she was all done with the cutting of the nails I look at them and they looked all uneven and crooked! I did not like the way she glued them on so before she started with acrylic I asked if she could please just take them all off, I didn't want her to continue with the full set. Definitely won't go back again. Bad service. I did offer to pay for the little work she had done. read more

Unfortunately, after three visits in one week, I just can't recommend the spot. I went the first time to get my set removed and told them I would be back in a couple days to get a new set, but I wanted them to last through Valentine's Day so I was waiting as long as I could. They took off my set, asked if I wanted a manicure, I said sure, $60 later I was shocked at what a poor job they did. She barely got the gel off, several nails still had a good amount of gel on them, even after the "manicure". They left my nails dirty, the shaping was bad and uneven. So I went back the next day to ask them to fix it. She charged me to fix it, $20, to get the rest of the gel off. At that point I told them just to put a new set on which they did. But then after the set was on, I was told they couldn't do any of the art or designs that I wanted. I chose Colors and the lady seemed truly annoyed that I didn't like the color I was forced into. But I didn't want to deal with it anymore so I just let them finish. I had to go to the location on Colorado Boulevard, totally different owners and staff, just to get it fixed. And of course because they're different owners they had to charge me so by the time all of this fiasco was said and done I spent almost $200, such a shame to have because it's close to me, but I won't be going back and can't recommend it to anyone read more

I have tried to come here multiple times and am always disappointed. Even if you make an appointment, the staff always seems incredibly annoyed you're there. It is obviously talk about you and laugh about you in front of you and they do not even try to hide it. The last time i was here the tech was moving way too fast and cut me twice and burned me with the drill. I will make the drive to the cherry creek location because the service here is not up to par with the prices. read more

Blue Sky is consistently consistent. Great techs and management is friendly and flexible. Also, if you know what you want ahead of time, give them a call and book an appointment - highly recommend. On a recent journey here (because i only get my nails done once every 6-8 weeks...gross, I know) one of the techs close by asked her customer how much she weighed. It was hard for me not to laugh/turn my head...i genuinely think it's the only English she knows but damn, am I glad she didn't ask me. I would have lied. I come here whenever my gf gets a pedicure so I come for the foot and leg massage and the typical foot cleanse and it each time has been a relaxing time. While she gets her pedi I hang around and enjoy the massage chairs. The prices aren't bad and it's close to where we live so it's a plus! The space is very clean and the workers are very nice. This is a very clean and fancy place. I usually like the acrylic nail sets I get, however, today was the exact opposite. The male tech that was doing my set is great at his job except when he has to do French nails with any kinds of design. The only good I have to say about this salon is the way my pedicure turned out. If you need a pedicure, ask for Christina! As far as my acrylic full set, I think this is probably the worst and most expensive set I've gotten. My full set was $75 and they couldn't even apply the acrylic correctly or evenly. Not to mention that I asked for coffin (was charged an extra $5) and my nails look lopsided, was hurt by the tech MULTIPLE times, and was just uncomfortable by the service in general. At the end of the service, I noticed how much my final bill was and I was completely shocked after the horrible job and experience. I asked the front manager or whatever she wants to call herself for the receipt, and she mumbled under her breath when I asked. What's the point of that? I'm sure she would be upset too if she got a horrible full set and had to pay the amount I paid. Worst part about it is that I felt like I was being pushed out because they were so close to closing so there was no room and/or time for anything to be fixed. Now the other low reviews make sense. This new and conveniently located salon is absolutely gorgeous inside, with a high end ambiance and super friendly staff. I have been here a few times for gel on my natural nails, pedicures, as well as acrylic full sets and fills. While the pedicure results are fine, for the price point I wish they would make it more of a spa experience, as they don't really do much callous removal and the massage was more of just smoothing lotion on for a minute. The last couple of times I had a gel manicure, the gel looks uneven and I can see the variation in saturation even after 3 coats. They started chipping after 4 days. My 10 year old daughter received a gel manicure, clear with a small stripe of color on the tips. They charged $18 for a child manicure, $20 for gel add-on, and $15 for design. For $53 before tip, her tiny nails took all of 10 minutes to complete. While I understand that service add-ons are set, I think they should perhaps be at lower prices and rise as needed or lower for children/simple design. So really, my only complaint is the price point is not worth the quality of service being provided. I will probably give them another shot once they become more established and hopefully will be pleasantly surprised, but until then I will go to my less upscale salon and enjoy long-lasting polish, extended massages, and half the price point. read more

I really wanted to like this location, as it is the most conveniently located Blue Sky. We made an appointment for opening in a Monday Morning. There was hardly anyone in there when we visited. The first thing we noticed was that there were fruit flies everywhere. There was a funky smell, and when I requested water, they said they were out. Our manicurist was very nice and humorous. However, she kept asking why we didn't get shellac. We explained over and over that we don't get shellac because it it too hard on the health of our nails. We explained that we get manicures often, and it is our personal preference to get regular mani/pedis. They really seem to frown on customers not getting the higher price services immediately. The minute we left, the manicure started chipping. We paid very handsomely for this service. In fact, we were charged 130 for two regular mani/pedis. That's really steep. And we tipped 20% on this. Our polish started chipping off on every finger immediately. As I really like the Blue Sky in Cherry Creek, I decided to call and give them a chance to fix the problem. I was instructed to go in on opening the following day to have the problem corrected. The manager then repainted my nails. He made sure to tell me the previous manicurist "wasn't in trouble" making it very awkward. There were still a ton of fruit fliers everywhere and I noticed that they finally had water in stock, although I wasn't offered any. When I left for the second time, the polish again started chipping right away to the point where I just had to remove it, and my daughter did the same. So for $130 plus a 20% tip the first time, and a 5$ tip for the subsequent re-paint....we had miserably chipping nail polish. It's weird, because at the Blue Sky in Cherry Creek, we noticed our polish didn't chip for 10 days. In my opinion, the Blue Sky in Cherry Creek doesn't want regular mani pedi customers. I'm not sure about higher priced services, but here's the thing....how can we trust them to do more if they can't even get a basic mani/pedi right? We will go to the Blue Sky in Cherry Creek from now on and unfortunately ...avoid this convenient location. I hope they get it together and do things differently because their location could service many local clients....just not our family - who has lived in the neighborhood for way longer that the Boulevard One step mall has existed. I really want to like this nail salon as it is conveniently located, clean, with easy parking. I paid 90$ for a regular mani/pedi and the technician cut my cuticles so deeply on two of my fingers that she couldn't stop the bleeding and they still hurt 3 days later. I am actually worried that one of them might be infected. At the end, instead of offering me a discount they actually charged me more for my gel polish removal and offered no apologies or band aids for my injuries. Very disappointed. read more

Every time I come it is a great experience. With Nira on todays visit was so awesome she takes her time and she takes pride in her work. I usually get a simple polish change here often because the work that they do is worth coming in between manicures and full sets. Loving my cherry red nails and Barbie pink pedicure. I have never gone here, this review is on behalf of my friend who needs some assistance in English. She made an appointment with Nina for acrylic removal and new nails (Oval shape), and a pedicure. She went in and the lady started simply putting new nail polish, when she told her she wanted new nails as per the appointment, Nina was LIVID and started to aggressively file her nails to the point that she cut her! With the electric nail drill, she put it on full speed and burn her several times and when she said ouch it hurst she said sorry sorry (in my opinion sarcastically) while continuing to be aggressive and hurting her, slamming chair, slamming nails files, throwing stuff, and shoving her hands! All because she told her my appointment is for new nails, if she doesn't like working with acrylic nails, why does she even have that job? And of course complaining to the lady next to her in another language (because that is not obvious enough, we are also bilingual we know how that is). While doing this, she kept telling her that is not the type of nail I want is this one, she said no no no, this one. I mean if she's paying for one thing, why is it up to Nina to do whatever she wants instead of what the customer is paying for? Then, after the ordeal and getting nails she continually was saying that is not the shape and size I want, she refused to do the pedicure because she had another customer, so she double booked and said that's because her appointment was not for a new set, then the booking person checked and my friend had in fact made the appointment right. Nina doesn't like working on new nails, she should go work somewhere else. And being aggressive to customers? In my opinion, she shouldn't have paid for that disaster, she went straight from there to another place, such disrespect. I am not sure if Nina is like that with all customers or if she just targets Latinas, in any case this is unacceptable behavior.
