I had an appointment at M. Vince Nail Spa and while the space itself is beautiful, very clean, and even offers alcoholic beverages for customers who want that extra touch, my experience was mixed. They didn't start my appointment until about 20 minutes after the scheduled time, which was frustrating. The services are also pricier than my usual nail spot, and I personally couldn't justify the cost when I can get results I like more for $30-40 less elsewhere. My nails looked ok but I am already seeing some peeling of the top coat of my dip manicure and actually my nail did start to chip which is ridiculous for how much I paid. Probably the worst manicure I've ever had. The nail tech didn't even know what type of service I had booked. The water was cold. He shaped my nails unevenly. He painted my nails so sloppily and didn't wait for the polish to dry. It all bubbled up and only the top layer dried it was so thick. I went to M Vince located at 4184 E 8th Place, Denver for a nail service after receiving a recommendation. I walked in and was told they could accommodate me. The service was rushed and careless. The technician worked extremely fast and pulled my cuticles so hard that my nail began bleeding. She repeatedly cleaned the bleeding area and apologized multiple times, acknowledging that she had hurt me. I assumed the pain would subside, but it did not. Five days later, I am still experiencing pain, and the nails were poorly done and have already started ripping off. The following morning, I called the owner/manager only to report the issue, not to request a refund or compensation. I even offered to send pictures of my nails, but he refused to let me send them and instead placed all the blame on me. He accused me of "scamming," which was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. When I explained what happened, he dismissed my experience entirely and claimed it never occurred, stating he was sitting right behind me. That was not true. He was not present most of the time and was walking around serving alcohol to other customers. I have lived in three different states and have visited many nail salons, and I have never experienced this level of unprofessionalism, poor workmanship, and lack of accountability, especially from management. I am leaving this review so others are aware. Please think carefully before coming here. I've been coming to M Vince Nail Spa for two years, and this was by far the worst and most unprofessional experience I've ever had at a salon. Two different technicians worked on me. The first one cut my right toenail so short that it immediately started bleeding. Instead of apologizing or handling it, she walked away and left me mid-service. Then another technician took over and used a microplane on my left big toe. She cut so deeply into the skin that my toe started bleeding and burning. I'm still in pain from this cut. Rather than treating the injury with any seriousness, staff actually laughed at me while I was sitting there bleeding. When I spoke with the manager, instead of taking responsibility, she (actually a man but he acted like a little girl and ran away when I demanded actual proper customer service) falsely claimed that I "already had the cut" before I came in -- which is absolutely untrue and appalling to say that. To make matters worse, they still charged me $96 for the service and only offered a $15 credit. This was not only careless and unsafe, it was dismissive, insulting, and completely unprofessional. Salons are supposed to follow proper health and safety practices, not injure clients, laugh at them, and then deny responsibility. If you care about your safety, your dignity, or basic professionalism, avoid this salon at all costs. read more

I went in on Saturday (11/8) and got a pedicure and a gel x manicure. I've gotten gel X multiple times and they last over three weeks and have been hard to get off. However it's now tuesday (11/11) and one nail popped off like nothing. To spend $95 solely on gel x for this is wild. Won't go back. Jus wanted to add on also that the technician rushed thru like i've never seen before and was skeptical in the moment. Also you have to dry your own glue when getting gel x. I decided to give this place a chance and I was pleased with the service and amenities. This is the only chain of nail shops in the Denver area I know of that offer alcoholic drinks while you get your nails done. It's very common in the south, but definitely rare here. There was a variety of gel/dip/acrylic colors to choose from. There were also glow in the dark and vibrant glitter colors. You can match regular polish with gel/dip/acrylic. It looks like nail techs do nail art as well. Prices are more expensive than your average neighborhood nail salon, but the atmosphere is more upscale with chandeliers and water features. It absolutely feels like a spa vibe. You can book appointments in advance, which I appreciate. This place can accommodate large groups due to the size. I got a volcanic pedicure, which ended up being about $75. The service had variety of scrubs and lotions. The chairs were new and had many different massage features, however, I didn't think they were any better than my regular place. I am new to Denver -- I found this nail spa and tried it three times, mani & pedi, obviously thought that it might be a good fit. The first time I was a walk in and the experience was good. I scheduled a second appointment with same technician; however, when I arrived she was running significantly late, more than 20 minutes. When I was finally seated I asked why she was so running so late; she said that she had no control over the time because the client could arrive with whatever design or creation that she wanted in the moment and it may take extra time. So, this sounded strange; yet I am a professional who has lived in three major cities with similar and equally inviting salons and thought of how I might work around this issue. After all, I liked the technician and if I booked the first appointment of the day this potential problem could be managed. I had a conversation with Rachel, tech, and man at the desk -- both assured me that I would not be delayed by "scheduling" the first appt of the day. Last week I arrived for my scheduled appt 5 minutes before the tech's starting time yet she was in the middle of a manicure with another client. The man at the desk acknowledged that I was there for my appt with Rachel and directed me to pick a color. I waited 10 mins and then asked if someone else could do my manicure -- another 10 minutes passed as he leisurely wandered into the back room as if he was looking for someone to take caer of a walk-in not someone who had booked an appointment. I was on my way to teach a class and then to the airport, so I allowed this ridiculous scene to unfold hoping that I could get a manicure and get out of this place. As I finally sat for my manicure, there was a woman 10 feet away getting her Birthday Pedicure, yes... I can't make this ridiculous scene up... she was on her cell phone belting out a conversation that could be heard by those around her -- she was dropping profanity as if she was sitting at a bar waiting for the last call. The man at the front desk could hear every word of this conversation yet he diligently brought her the mimosas that she requested. This place is lovely -- professionally designed and inviting. I have loved this place since I started coming here, have been going for the past 2-3 years everyone has always been super nice and welcoming but my previous experience made me feel otherwise. I wanted to get my dip redone and Loan was who serviced me. The time before I had gotten extensions on and couldn't remember which nails (some were broke) because I work a lot and it had been 4 weeks since I had been in. She insisted I got acrylic and I told her no it was dip with one of their new sheer gels. That made her mad because it had been a dragged out conversation and I said we could look in the system if it was an issue. I only wanted something natural and told her she could pick but she then kept talking to her co workers aggressively saying dip dip dip and the rest I couldn't understand. Everyone was looking at me and the girls sitting next to me seemed to be bothered as well. She was rude the whole time she did my nails kept yanking my arm and tapping my hand aggressively. At that point I wanted to leave and was on the verge of tears because I expected a good experience. The whole service was rushed and she filed my nails crooked and missed steps on a couple of my nails that she had done to my other nails. The experience was so uncomfortable I will not be going back. I should have gotten them removed and left but I stayed and tipped her well so I hope she does better next time. I was recommended to visit this nail spa because of how friendly the staff is, the great job that they do, and because it's fancy af. Decided to treat myself to my first dip manicure and get the spa pedicure as I was going to be in 2 back to back weddings and wanted my nails to last as long as possible. I was greeted promptly when I arrived and showed where the colors were to select from. Pretty neat to be able to have matching fingers and toes even though one was going to be dip. The massage seats are large and the massager itself was nice (great to be able to change up selections). My technician was quiet but that's ok, it was early morning and I was able to watch the puppies on the screen next to me and listen to my audio book. While my technician may have nicked my cuticle (came home with a little injury) he did a good job overall and I can't imagine that happens every time. This was my first time getting dip and he did explain a bit about the nail dip process which made me feel better about it. I've gone to this salon a few times before, but it's been about two years. Went to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure last week. Salon was nice and clean. Service was okay. Upon looking at my nails more closely at home, the color on my hands and toes did not match as I originally asked for. My manicure turned out much lighter than my pedicure. It's been a little over a week today and I've noticed that the gel polish is changing from pink to a beige color. I've never had this happen before and it does not look great so I'm going to have to get it taken off. For my pedicure, the nail polish was not applied to the free edge of my toe nails and ended up chipping about 4 days later. There should have been more detail on polish application. I wanted to give M Vince another try, but I am disappointed with my nails and wish I went to my usual salon. read more
