I love that they bring, not just the booths, but also a person to assist and a variety of props for people to use. They do offer an "open air" photo booth that I got to see at Furry Scurry this last year and I love the concept. How else are you going to get a adorbs pic of you and your furry friend? You can't, that's how. The customized event specific frames for the photo strips are always great. It just adds such a nice touch to an already excellent memento. Building off his ideas I chose a fun layout to mark the occasion. Scot arrived on time and set up in the prearranged location. The photos taken throughout the evening were amazing and made the evening much more memorable. As the photos are taken, high quality prints are immediately available. Some guests kept a photo or two as a keepsake, and would also place a photo in a special album with room to write a personalized message next to the photo. Towards the end of the evening, Scot made sure that I had an opportunity to take pictures with the remaining guests. That evening I left the party with the album, the messages written were a great touch and helped to make the evening much more memorable. I couldn't imagine having the event without Bamboo Booth. These guys were at the recent yelpapalooza event and I have to say, they added a lot to the place…read more The attendant dude was super helpful and friendly and gave us a quick rundown of the business. I think I'll probably end up with one of these at my wedding (whenever that takes place.) The pics only took a minute to develop and there was a screen that showed your current pose and a countdown timer so you don't end up with that "i didn't know it was going to take a picture now" look. Photos developed crystal clear too. Hopefully these guys show up at more yelp events because it's awesome having a small memento of the shenanigans that's ready to be framed or slapped on the fridge.

After a quick and easy phone consultation with Saleema to figure out what we wanted our portraits to look like, we set a date and time not too far in the future. Relic Fine Art Studio's location is easy to get to, with good street parking, and was a super comfy and pared down space. After setting up several poses that felt really genuine, we got to watch a few of the plates develop in Patrick's dark room - which was super fun and educational. We've gotten tin types done by a friend in NYC, and we know that the experience with the photographer is just as important as the finished portrait.
