All of the items were clean when I picked them up and I appreciated that the linens were provided in hanging bags to prevent them from getting wrinkled during transport. I also rented the 2-speaker sound system. The battery powered speakers sounded great and made it very easy to move them between our ceremony and reception site. FRER was very accommodating to changes with what items we wanted to rent (we added a bunch of glasses at the last minute). I opted to pick up the rentals myself and the warehouse staff helped load up my car making sure I had everything I was supposed to. Returning the items was just as easy and I was happy that I could have everything for an entire weekend for the cost of a 1-day rental. Very easy to work with and they have everything we needed. After guests had already started arriving, they claimed they couldn't bring the tent into the park and then hung up on us when we asked them to at least deliver the tables and chairs. We received none of the equipment we paid for. We had no tent in the rain, no tables for our reception, and had to use park picnic tables instead. It turned one of the most important days of our lives into an incredibly stressful experience. The owner refused to take responsibility, offered no apology, and refused a full refund. We had to dispute the charge with our bank just to recover part of our money. I would never recommend this company.

Here's what they did right: Everything got to the venue OK…read moreand looked the way we expected it to. The venue staff dealt with their staff, so I have no idea about drop-off and pick-up. Here's why they only got 2 stars: A month-ish after putting down a deposit, they charged the rest of the amount without consulting us. This was no small sum and we had planned to put it on another card. We didn't realize that giving them our credit card number gave them free rein to charge us. This could have been our mistake, and we honestly would have overlooked it IF they had been at all responsible about fixing it. When we called a week later to ask them to put it on a different card and refund the first card, Dan was not remotely apologetic or even polite. He got the new credit card information and said it would take 5-7 days before it was back on the first card. To be clear, this was on August 31st. Around September 17th we got tired of waiting for our money. So we called to ask. They didn't even have the second credit card number on file. So, I am not sure what Dan did with it after I gave it to him, but clearly it was not what I asked him to do. They blamed the delay on the flood, which was troubling because it should have been resolved by the 1st of September. So, lesson learned: At All Event Rentals, you have no idea what will be done with your credit card information (too much or too little?) And you can expect rude and disorganized customer service.
