I came in with serious back problems and was at the point where surgery seemed like my only option--nothing else had helped. After working consistently with Stacey for several months, my pain significantly improved to the point where surgery was no longer necessary. I have been going to Blue Sky Pilates for four years, and the results have been transformational. I love the small class sizes and love all of their instructors. I've gone from a size 16 to a toned size 8, with most of those results being in the last 18 months when I increased to 3-4 times per week. I came across this neighborhood studio and called them to ask if they had room in their Happy Hour reformer. The person on the phone who did not introduce herself asked me if was familiar with the reformer and I told her I was. I was told there was space in the class and purchased their Intro 3 pack. At the end of the class the Instructor, Erica Church comes up to me and tells me blatantly "This class is way too hard for you." I was in total shock and literally had tears in my eyes as I had been taking classes at another studio for a few months and was feeling good about my progress. Erica proceeded to say "Can you swing privates." She told me I should specifically take privates with her only. I naively signed up and had my first session with her which was okay. I then signed up for a class from my intro pack and Erica comes up to me at the beginning of the class in front of the other women in the class and tells me I should not be at the class because I have not finished my private sessions. I was once again shocked and felt embarrassed. I proceeded to take the class as I was not going to leave after I took out time to schedule this class and wanted to get a work out in. I know my limitations and knew I could modify the routine if needed. After this happened, I contacted Stacy, the owner of the studio to tell her about my experience with Erica. I was inclined to never return to the studio again as I felt awful and humiliated now twice. I proceeded to take a private session with another instructor because I had purchased a package which I wanted to finish. My plan was to finish my pre paid sessions and not return to the studio as the vibe was not good for me. The instructor Parisa was great and I left the session wanting to take her beginner classes or do more privates with her. Parisa never expressed to me a concern during my private and complimented me several times. The same day, I then receive an email from Stacy the owner saying: "Parisa spoke with me after your session today and she reiterated that you aren't ready to start group classes yet. I noticed that you scheduled yourself for the 830 am class next Wednesday, but I am going to early cancel that session for you. Let's get you set up with some more private sessions first so that we can make sure that you are doing the moves correctly and are not at risk of injuring yourself. I know you have one more private session already purchased that we can set up... what day might work? After the intro pack we offer privates to purchase in packages or individually if you prefer." I am now being told I cannot even take a basic Pilates class at their studio! So on three occassions when I worked out and felt great about my progress I was being told no, it's not good enough. I would never return to this studio and I urge any woman who is a beginner at Pilates to look else where for a studio that will encourage you and help you modify your routine to avoid injury but still get a work out in. This studio has too many stringent rules which their owner Stacy insists are for safety reasons. Needless to say, I have never seen Stacy at the studio and would never give this studio my business. If you cannot afford private lessons here, you are not entitled to even take their basic Pilates class. I have been to two other studios and have never encountered these rules and treatment. read more

Absolutely love this studio. I threw my back out in April of this year and decided to try Pilates. I took 25 private lessons at another studio with a teacher who was classically trained with decades of experience. She emphasized proper form and I learned the exercises without hurting myself. But I needed to start group lessons because privates are just too expensive and I wanted to start going more often. This studio is terrific. I think the prices are very reasonable and classes are small enough that the instructor can give individual attention as needed. My favorite instructor is Rosana. She's very knowledgeable and gives an excellent butt-busting workout! Studio is cool, clean with easy parking. read more

I've been going to Blue Sky Pilates for more than 5 years and absolutely LOVE IT! Great atmosphere, comfortable environment and clean! The instructors are friendly and knowledgeable. Always ask me how my body is feeling before we start - making sure to focus on the areas I want, and also help ensure no injury. I like a tough workout and so the instructors know when to push me harder (or when to stop)! I enjoy both private and group classes. This place is the BEST! I decided to start Pilates in August 2016 (after running, doing the usual gym workout) and it has completely changed my life...............I believe that I can conquer any challenge (and the workouts will challenge you at times beyond what you *think* you can do) and am happier and healthier. I have tried many different ways to work out. I like to spin; I like to train; and I have attended many different classes from yoga to TRX and beyond... Pilates - specifically Blue Sky Pilates - has been the most wonderful experience in my exercise adventures to date. I started with a few private sessions and I am currently taking three classes per week. Its amazing that after months of pilates, I am still learning new moves and being constantly challenged. I have an 89 year old client who takes private instruction at Blue Sky Pilates twice a week. The studio has a warm and relaxing environment and has great equipment. The staff is friendly and professional. Lindsay is amazing~ she gives him a great workout while being mindful of his age and particular issues. She makes him laugh while she challenges him to push himself beyond what he thinks he can do. He always leaves the studio feeling better and with a smile on his face. I first heard of Blue Sky Pilates through the Athleta location at The Village. It was my first time trying Pilates and even the reformer. First off everyone was extremely nice and welcoming. I filled out the paperwork and quickly got assigned a reformer. The instructor Stacy Austin reviewed a few of the thing we would be doing in class, she explained things really well and also made you feel comfortable. I love the setting of this location, it's meant for small classes. Which as a new client, I appreciate. I've been going to Blue Sky Pilates for almost a month now and in this short amount of time, my body has already started to transform more than I ever expected. After 2 babies and 4 years of not working out, I went into the studio with chronic neck and shoulder pain from over a decade of working an office job and caring for two littles. In less than a month, I'm standing up noticeably taller (welcome back, neck!), went down a pants size and am feeling incredible. The studio is beautiful and the instructors and staff are welcoming and kind. I've been primarily training with Stacy and Lindsay and they are both incredible instructors who have the innate ability of knowing how hard to push and how to successfully walk you through the various moves without making you feel self-conscious...which is so important because I'm a complete newbie and have always been super intimidated by Pilates. But now I'm totally hooked and I attribute that to the amazing sessions with Stacy and Lindsay! They are kind, supportive and the results I'm seeing with my strength and flexibility so soon is more than I could have ever hoped for. i have been working out for about 10 years, I hurt my back in sept of 2013 and that really put an end to what i could do physically. I tried many things after that but always with the same result... pain beyond pain. A friend told me about Blue Sky Pilates, at this point i figured i had nothing more to lose I had already been to so many different classes what was one more. well this was the one that changed everything i have zero pain after i take a class, I'm truly stunned that i can get this kind of a work out, and feel better when i leave then when i arrived. anyone out there who has back or neck injuries but still wants a work out that kicks your but! this is the place to go.
