At this point on site EV charging has become a smoke in mirrors amenity. When I first got my EV in 2021 there were never any major issues being able to charge my car. I only had to use a super charger twice... until recently. Since 2021 the number of EVs in the complex has increased significantly. No new charging ports have been added. Instead a $100 per hour overage charge has been added. So good bye overnight charging. That would be if the chargers ever worked. Over personally not been able to charge my car onsite in 2 months. It seems to work sometimes for some people but the stalls are often empty when previously we were all fighting for chargers. I think others have given up as I have and just been adding visits to Rove charging to our already never ending to do list. I'm writing this review so that potential residents with EV vehicles are aware the property doesn't have consistently working EV charging and doesn't maintain the chargers that are now over 10 years old. Corporate won't pay for anything. you will likely have to go offsite to charge most of the time. Just be aware. Greystar... please be accountable and supply working charging that meet the demands of the community. read more

I came here as a prospective renter and was really disappointed with how unprofessional the management was. The leasing manager, Catie, was unhelpful and dismissive. The office was often closed during posted operating hours, and on more than one occasion I saw her inside but she ignored me instead of assisting. She leaves her team to deal with issues while avoiding responsibility, which creates a very unwelcoming and frustrating environment. I lived here for 2 years from December 2020 to Dec. 2022. Anything I needed , the maintenance staff was always responsive, Lucia and chandy are wonderful women who always helped me in every way possible. The location is literally the best, and I'm proud to say this complex was my first apartment complex. It's mandatory that you pay $25.00 per month for concierge trash pickup. I have lived here for over a year and I have never used that service. The garage chute is 10 seconds away and I walk by it every time I go to my car. I have always taken my own trash to the trash chute and yes, $25.00 per month. I live on the second floor and the chute fills up past the second floor every couple of days. Rather than empty the dumpster more often, the Manager wants to go through our trash and charge us another $25.00 if we can't put the trash in the full chute... I've lived at this complex for THREE YEARS for one main reason: Lucia and the staff. Lucia, the Community Manager, is one that goes above and beyond to make Blue Sol truly an incredible place to live. She deals with many individuals, yet still manages to make each and every one of us feel special in every engagement. Blue Sol is well maintained (common areas are kept spotless), has great amenities that I used regularly (pool, hot tub, gym) and is in a great location (walking distance to the Triangle, Eat Chow, etc). The maintenance crew is spectacular; not only is there always a timely resolution from opening a ticket, but the staff is genuinely kind and a joy to interact with. I'm only moving because I need to relocate; otherwise, I'd be here a lot longer in the care of Lucia and team! read more

Security was harassing me, very rude and constantly asking if "I even lived at the apartment complex". Despite having a reserved spot and key to get into the building. When notifying the leasing office the office manager regarding these concerns, Lucia responded with a list of noise complaints etc. instead of hearing my concerns about the security guard. I did not renew my lease due to this issue. Having to respond repeatedly to the security guard every time I went to the pool that yes indeed I lived there and not having my concerns taken seriously made the price of rent not worth it. I would expect an email about a noise complaint after the incident not when I reach out with complaints myself. Also just didn't feel safe having the security guard ask for the unit number that I lived in. I feel my name should've been adequate enough. For the price of this complex knowing you can't be taken seriously when feeling harassed or bullied definitely not worth it! Would sadly not recommend living here. The location is amazing and building is beautiful. One last complaint was the fire alarms constantly go off and are very sensitive in each apartment. read more

My husband and I have been living here for almost a year and I cannot be more happy living at Blue Sol. They appreciate their residents, they strive to be helpful and accommodating, they have a beautiful property, and we feel so safe living here! The pool is amazing, the club room is fun, the gym is 24 hours, and they have Hello Alfred. But their staff is the absolute best! Especially their maintenance staff. Juan, who I believe is the head of the maintenance crew (I see him around all the time) is the best. I've lived in a few complexes and experienced a few maintenance crews but Juan is by far the greatest. He is so helpful, friendly, and really good at what he does. Just recently, I was in the mail room and was struggling to get a few packages to my apartment. He saw me struggling and offered his help right away. My girlfriend, two dogs, and myself lived at Blue Sol for a year and just moved out. We had the most wonderful experience there! Let's start with the place is quiet and beautiful. We always felt safe and as if we had our own little compound. The apartment was beautiful and updated recently. The fixtures, floors, and cabinets looked like they were out of a magazine. The best was the staff. Juan and Ruben were always on call to help out with anything, although nothing really ever needed to be fixed. One thing that stood out is that my girlfriend and her mother were loading some heavy boxes into a truck and Ruben saw from down the hall way. He stopped what he was doing in order to run over there and help them carry everything. Juan was consistently checking to make sure we were happy and we quickly became friends with him. He would go ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure everything was always running smoothly. Tiffany, Alyssa, and Lucia in the Leasing office always had a huge smile on their face as they greeted us when we stopped in to get packages. When the home we were buying got delayed, with no hassle, they worked out a small extension for our lease with very favorable terms even though most apartments would have tried to crush us and make us move twice. I have lived in over 10 apartment complexes and Blue Sol easily tops the list. My girlfriend and I always spoke about how sad we were to leave there and our pups miss it as well. It's very funny that I have just 1 comments above from my husband to update this assessment and tell about the days of disturbance we are living under an apartment that looks more like a gym or a public street with so much noise of people walking, knocking things over, running yes I said running inside the apartamebto, exercising with heavy equipment at all times and at any time, we have already sent some e-mails which some were answered and others ignored, one of the replies said that the neighbor is moving, what for a few weeks it was super understandable to imagine that they were dismantling furniture, but this has been happening for weeks without having a specific time to happen, finally I arrive with sadness and so much discontent to update that before moving to this building make sure not to there will be no samba school or academy at the top read more

The apartment itself is nice, nice looking complex over all, service is lacking though, the two staff members Juan and Ruben are awesome, they work so hard keeping this place clean and are always so friendly. As far as the front desk, new dang person every time I walk in there, so I wouldn't even expect them to know answers to most of my questions, why would they know, they always brand new. There have been a lot of car break ins !!! I know we are in Costa Mesa and it's a risk but these break ins are happening INSIDE THE STRUCTURE! It's crazy, and the staff won't put cameras in there!! And of course they put cameras in the dog area to see if people pick up their shit but not for people's cars being ripped apart, this is almost funny but not. They actually sent an email saying they were watching people not picking up after their dog on camera, which is what they are doing while cars are getting smashed up in the structure. I have heard how the front desk is handling the car situation and multiple people have told me they just say, "that's why you have insurance". That is such a horrible thing to hear after you car was broken into. Put cameras in the damn structure or I'll be out of here! I have lived here 3 years and loved it until Greystar took over. It's like they scared the nice sweet staff away, like Katrina who was great, like I said now there are new people in the office every day it seems, they clearly don't mind break ins, not as much as they mind dog poop. And security, I think we went through like 10 security guards, some of them would sleep in the common areas, one of them would just smoke these weird cigarettes all night which is funny because it's a non smoking community. Step up your game Gretstar, you guys are making yourselves look horrible over here at Blue Sol! It's embarrassing. Get a solid staff that knows how to run things, the only staff I even know are Juan and Ruben, to me they are the bosses of this place , I ask them questions before front desk, and they know a lot more than the front desk! Blue Sol Apartments is a beautiful community with tons of amenities. Gorgeous pool, new modern apartments, pet friendly, and a great onsite gym. Moving from LA to OC was an adjustment - we were looking to spend around the same as we were on the westside and we found what we were looking for at Blue Sol. 4th floor, pool view, A/C, laundry in unit, and a walk in closet? Sign me up. Community is quiet, however, during the weekends, there are usually some people at the pool and it is a very social atmosphere. Everyone chats with each other and gets to know others in the community and that is definitely something I look for when moving complexes. Only reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 - there was a lot of turnover in the front office that lead to some confusion upon move in and a friend had their car broken into while visiting. Regarding move in - Alyssa stepped in and hired Tiffany, who knows her shit and is very professional and pleasant to work with. Alyssa personally showed me to my apartment to address my concerns and made sure we did a walk through together to ensure that everything was good at the start of our lease. Every time we reach out for something, we are responded to within a business day. Going into the leasing office is less intimidating when you know you have a great staff like Alyssa and Tiffany behind the desk. Regarding car break in - unfortunately, we are used to this coming from LA. Our friend's car was a bit older and she had items in the backseat of her vehicle, so the culprit must be looking into the car windows to pick their victims. Neither my husband nor I (I park on the roof too) or any other friends who have visited multiple times have had any issues with break ins. I would advise just to take your valuables with you and not leave them in the car. The staff at Blue Sol also go out of their way to throw community events. We had a fundraiser with The White Rabbit Food Truck - give $1 and get $5 in food truck credits. More recently, there was a sponsored paint and wine night hosted by Alyssa, Tiffany, Juan, and Ruben. Juan and Ruben were keeping the music going and chatting it up with all of the residents; they are such fun people to be around who ensure anything we need fixed or looked at is addressed immediately. There really was no obligation for the team to stay late into the night to entertain residents, but Alyssa, Tiffany, Juan, and Ruben stayed well after the event was over just to catch up with neighbors and ask for their feedback about the event. Nothing is perfect, but Blue Sol is taking strides to improve and that goes a long way in my book. I look forward to the next community event and I would recommend Blue Sol to anyone looking for a vibrant, updated complex with convenient access to restaurants, nightlife, and the beach. read more

Great building management and staff, including maintenance team. Very responsive and tenant centered. You pay a premium to live here, but you feel the benefits as a tenant. Amenities are great, gym is bigger than most apartment gyms. Washers in unit are good size and not tiny, air conditioning works great and doesn't make the electric bill crazy high, very pet friendly, and neighbors are friendly. Most tenants are younger in age, so there's always some activity; but I haven't had issues with noise during the day nor in the late evenings. read more

Hi there, Just wanted to give some information about the "neighboring communities using the amenities." Pacifica condominiums next door were originally slated to take up the entire lot spanning Bernard St. Because of the financial collapse in 2008, construction was halted and the developer was only able to build part of the original plan. It was then proposed to turn the rest of the lot into apartments instead of condominiums. All homeowners of Pacifica had to agree to this new proposal. It was negotiated that if Pacifica were to have access to the apartment building amenities they would agree to the new plan. All amenities turned into just access to the pool for a monthly fee. read more

Moved in a month ago and it's been the best decision we've ever made. The building is immaculate and has more amenities than most buildings 3-4x as big so there's always space by the pool, bbq, and gym. The apartments themselves are built well with scratch resistant wood floors, granite countertops, and new appliances. Best part is the staff.
