You can not only meet only their several horses and dogs, but they have cows and farm animals to pet, too. While we waited for others, we were able to walk around the property to explore the pond and hang out in their guest house. There was also some sports equipment available to play with. I love this. I enjoy planning my own winery snacks. I was bummed when many wineries quit allowing food because they opened kitchens. So if I have to pay $30+ for food. I'm buying less wine. Very relaxing to read a book by the stream and enjoy the fresh air. I will certainly keep this place in mind if/when I ever find myself back in Missouri. Now I will admit when it says chorizo I instinctively think it's MEXICAN chorizo. This doesn't cook like traditional Mexican Chorizo. It doesn't fall by apart easily and looks more like ground Italian sausage. But the spices are right on, although not very spicy, and the meat is very hearty. It didn't have a lot of fat do it cooked pretty clean. Can't wait to try some of their other products. It's locally produced which is a great plus.
