My Sunday Funday ended at Fyre Lake Winery. The best part was the offering of Wine Flights!!! You get to taste a little bit of everything they have to offer. They have a nice Food menu and the Music was awesome!!! They also have Beer, Ciders and a Full stocked bar!!! The drink for the Weekend was the Lemon...something (I forgot the name) lemonade/OJ and Grey Goose Vodka.. it was great on this Hot Sunday!! The French Bread with butter , for only $5, was soooo good... Bonus: 2 Australian Shepherds will great you when you arrive and beg for a little taste of what you are eating!!

Our server Hailey was very bubbly and welcoming from the start. She made sure we took our time to figure out what we all wanted. Took my dad out for early father's day lunch. We all got sweet tea. Husband went with the all you can eat chicken option. Which they do that on Wednesdays and Sundays. You can mix/match dark or white meat. You get all the sides. Dumplings, mashed potatoes, greenbeans, corn, coleslaw, and apple sauce. He was full and definitely enjoyed the chicken. My dad did the chicken meal 2 dinner with 2 sides. I have food left over for later. I was so full. Food came out in timely manner. And for what we paid in total with 3 people wasnt too shabby. Theor parking lot is off to the side and wraps around l. They do have aome street side parking. Or some park across the way in a lot. Good ol days Is a staple in new baden. When you're burnt out on going to chains like cracker barrel. So, when the place my wife wanted to take me to dinner for my birthday was closed on Tuesday, she though she'd take me to a place I had never been. She's so funny. She said, "It's not Ruth's Chris, but you will love it". She was right! I ordered the 4 piece of fried chicken, beets, baked potato and it came with coleslaw too. It does take about 20 minutes as the chicken is made to order, but well worth it. Skin was delish and the meat was tender too. My wife got a smoked pork with bbq sauce and it was great too. Took about 1/2 of our food home as we shared a homemade pecan pie slice which was soooooo good with ice cream. I can't wait to go back! I love their slogan too "Food so good, you'd swear we stold your grandma!" Don't miss this place!!!! They also have ALL YOU CAN EAT fried whitefish on Tuesday and ALL YOU CAN EAT fried chicken on Sunday and I think Saturday. Not 100% sure. Go and you will thank me!

Lisa's is located next to Rocher Pub but she was running a fish buffet that night so we chose it. If you enter from the front off Market Street that's the bar but there's a door marked restaurant inside. If you come in the back where there's a parking lot it's the restaurant. There was no wait at 5:30. Little later there was & even though the seat yourself sign was out, they were helping people find tables. I had the fish buffet. It's only offered the second Friday of the month. About half the customers were eating it. There was fried catfish & cod, a baked fish, popcorn shrimp, stewed tomatoes, Mac & chz, hush puppies, fried potatoes, frog legs & onion rings on the hot bar. Salads were in bowls atop ice; potato salad, coleslaw. Cocktail & tarter sauces in premade cups. Bread & onion slices offered. Dessert was 2 homemade cakes in aluminum 13x9's; Orange jello poke and a spice cake. My husband had the fried chicken. It's fresh cooked so it takes awhile - I was pretty well done with mine when his arrived. He got the 4 piece & I sampled it with some crispy onion rings from the buffet. Mmmm. I saw people drinking beers so the servers can get drinks from the bar. The spice cake ran out quickly & the girl who brought a new one had no idea what kind it was. Might've been carrot but it wasn't overly spicy like some. I see why it was popular. The inside is bright & cheery, historical photos line the walls. The staff was all working hard & the only exception between service the locals got & us was that they called each other by name. If you're familiar with the advice to always eat bread with fish, you know I appreciated the white bread slices & onion. I wish I had the recipes for both those thin crispy onion rings & the potato salad. Since we had a cooler, a piece of that fried chicken ended up in my husband's lunch on Monday- still tasted great. No doubt about it, we'll be back.

I could get vegan eggs and vegan bacon, and my friends could get their chicken eggs and turkey bacon. My favorites here were the vegan milkshakes, pancakes, vegan bacon, brussels sprouts, and the shrimp po'boy. They were out of all my favorites, so it was extra sad for me. I ended up trying the tacos for the first time. They were cool. But I'm surely going miss my favorites! The owners also own Frida's and Diego's, off Delmar and North & South. I personally don't care for the food at either one, but rumor has it, they might bring some of the Station No 3 favs over to one of these restaurants (which are right next door to each other).

They also seem to have a full bar. There was a Wednesday happy hour when we were there $9 old fashioned and potato skins. All and all it was pretty good but I would have liked to see some healthier options that weren't salad, like more fresh veggies in dishes.
