This was one of the most disappointing Marriott stays I've had…read more The hotel is dirty, poorly maintained, and it feels like no one takes pride in the property. Throughout the hotel there were scuffed walls, stained wallpaper, dirty light fixtures covered in cobwebs, damaged trim, and HVAC vents separating from the wall. Even the EV charging stations were filthy and didn't work. When I arrived, the front desk employee was asleep. That set the tone for the rest of the stay. I requested a late checkout because I had an important work meeting. The front desk confirmed it, but never actually updated my reservation. At exactly 11:00 AM my internet access was shut off in the middle of my meeting because they forgot to extend my checkout. That level of disorganization is unacceptable for a business hotel. The EV chargers are another joke. After wasting time trying to use them, the manager essentially admitted they don't work reliably and said there wasn't anything she could do about it. If an advertised amenity is known to be broken, fix it or stop advertising it. Breakfast was another frustrating experience. The breakfast area prominently advertised Nitro Cold Brew. When I asked for one, the employee insisted they didn't have it. I suggested removing the advertisement so other guests wouldn't be misled, and she argued there wasn't even a sign. I literally turned the sign around so she could see it. Rather than apologizing or acknowledging the mistake, she simply ignored it. That interaction perfectly summed up the entire stay. It wasn't just that things were broken or dirty. It was the complete lack of ownership, accountability, or concern for the guest experience. I've stayed at many Marriott properties over the years, and this Courtyard falls well below the standard I expect from the brand. Until management addresses the maintenance issues, fixes the amenities they advertise, and builds a staff that actually cares about guests, I would recommend staying somewhere else.

I arrived earlier than anticipated, and the gentleman at the front desk was courteous and got me into a room in under 10 minutes. I've stayed at a lot of hotels for business trips, and this hotel is slightly run-down. The room was clean, but there were stains on the bathroom walls, spots and smells on the bedroom floor, and the air conditioning, which blew cold, sounded like an airplane getting ready to take off. Overall, the hotel was quiet with ample parking, and if I was passing through like I was recently, I would consider staying here for a night.

I'll try and keep this brief - the good & the bad - because I'm still pretty pissed about this past…read moreweekend's stay. SIL & I came to the area for Bingo at IKEA. Yeah, I know, kinda crazy, but I wanted an inexpensive room that was close to the store. This property was about 3mi from IKEA W Sac, and a decent price, by no means a "budget" property for just an overnight stay. The good: Room was clean and was the room type I expected, and the property seemed OK. Signage out front looked like a rebrand. Pool & hot tub were nice but there were no clean pool towels, I had to ask at the desk. You could hear some freeway noise, but not too bad. Lobby seemed nicely decorated & clean. Breakfast was lovely - waffles, eggs, an impressive oatmeal & toppings station and more. My SIL stays at Marriotts almost exclusively while traveling with a military spouse said she felt this one was clean, but underwhelming for the brand. And the bad, downright UGLY: Upon check in, I was asked if I needed an accessible room, which I indicated I didn't. I don't recall booking that way, but she offered to modify my reservation. I was then told by the front desk clerk that I had to insert my card to pay. I even asked for clarification, "Insert?" since I typically tap to pay. She INSISTED that I insert my card. We moved to the room to settle in. **Within 20 minutes, I began getting fraud alerts from my bank.** 3 total, totaling about $1k from a major online retailer using the card that I had in my possession. I immediately notified the front desk clerk that checked us in, and she seemed unconcerned, like, "oh, OK". That alone seems super sketchy! Thankfully, my bank had my back, declined the charges & and shut it down. The next morning, I mentioned it again to the a.m. desk clerk who assured me that their CC machine was regularly inspected but was UNAWARE that I had reported a possible compromise of guests' CC info. I worked in the hospitality industry a million years ago, and IMHO, there should have been a flow of information between shifts where something like this was concerned, in case other guests complained of the same issue. So, BEWARE & PROTECT your card info here. Don't insert! This was late Fri afternoon, imagine how many guests might not check their cards until first thing Monday? Now I'm burdened with hyper-vigilant monitoring, replacing my card and changing all legitimate automatic payments. Way too narrow time-wise to be coincidence.

I killed two small spiders that were on my bed (I couldn't even sleep after that). The walls are SO THIN, no need for an alarm clock- we could hear kids stomping on the floor above us and yelling (terrible parenting idc). The only thing was the customer service that makes it tolerable. They're nice and attentive when you ask kindly, but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless there's absolutely no other places to go near the area, or if it's right next to a venue. Normally I don't let bad reviews deter me from booking a convenient hotel, but now I know to read reviews.

It truly is just ok…read more I needed a hotel close to the airport and hopefully under $75. It's located just west of I 5 on I 80 and was easy to find and get to. Check in was quick, and I got in a little earlier than official time. My room was clean and simple. You could say a little small, but all I did was sleep and shower here so it was fine. Two people may have a little problem with the size. The couple next door was a little loud past midnight. Traffic noise from the interstate was unnoticeable. There was one wall in the bathroom, under the towel rack that could use some wiping down. Overspray from hairspray has built up and left the wall with some tan streaks. Continental breakfast was quite undesirable, 2-3 cereals, toaster waffles, only strawberry yogurt, and I think apples. The prewrapped Danishes were a bit firm. Check out was prompt and easy. Stay again? Probably, knowing I will be meeting others for a better breakfast and maybe with some earplugs to ignore the next room better.
